- The location and view.
- Nice views over the beach and the rooms were good.
- Nice location. Spa facilities. Great staff. Very welcoming and accommodating.
Cons -
- No!
- I got told off in the pool as my Speedo swimming shorts were not tight enough. You also have to buy a swim hat and sandals if you don’t have them already. The pool area didn’t seem to be very child friendly.
- Noise from kitchen fan and staff entrance.Lighting not very bright.

We were very happy with this hotel. It’s quite a smart spa hotel but the staff were very relaxed and there was no demanding room numbers or wrist bands to use the pools. When you arrive they kit you out with a gown and carry bag and as long as you have Lycra swimwear, hat and flip flops you are good to go. We went every morning before the public can go in at 11 and found we were generally alone in the sports pool and never crowded in the hydro pool. Both are salt water and warm.We paid for the sea view and were on floor 2. I think wherever you were in this hotel there would be issue with the sea view, either with people walking past, cars or (in our case) the back of the kitchens. However the view of sea was probably the best in the hotel if you turned your chair away from the kitchen. The room was good however, quite spacious with useful extras like fridge, safe and kettle. We had room to do yoga! Plenty of storage and hanging space. We didn’t use the restaurant so can’t comment on that but it would have been nice if the bar had opened for coffee earlier than 11.30. On the other hand there is a cafe just across the driveway adjacent to the beach. The beach is a public beach but very pretty and easy to access from the hotel. There also seems to be a sea swimming pool for when the tide is out but we never saw anyone use it.Parking was easy but was not adjacent to the hotel. We were able to walk everywhere from this hotel, even to the Botanic Gardens which was about 30 minutes. Roscoff is quite small.

The spa pool was wonderful, especially good after a long drive...The restaurant was well run, imaginative food and exceptional service. Would certainly stay again. Lovely sea views, even at low tide! Staff are great.
A bath robe would have been nice for the spa visit. My early morning call for coffee was a bit minimal - just a paper cup of black coffee - I sort of expected a tray with coffee, milk and sugar - maybe I should have ordered breakfast? No parking, so had quite a long walk in the rain to get to my car...
Perfect location, beach is small but lovely. Rooms spacious. Modern. Beds comfortable.Public areas well presented. Spa really lovely.
Cleaning was ok, not great.
Sea front location
No Bar open except on a Monday & Tuesday.Car parking for us older people awkward and 5 minute walk away in the open so you get wet when raining and too far to carry and offload luggage.Menu for Dinner the same every evening and very bland, you have to enter exactly on your booked time and not before for an Aperitif. You need to eat out in other restaurants to get a good choice of food. The Hotel is getting very tired and old fashioned, I am extremely surprised that it manages to attain a 4*rating as it is far removed from it, for instance the ‘Grand Be’ in St Malo is a real 4* Hotel and rightly so, but certainly not the Valdys which is more 2*.We would not return .
Efficient service, clean, comfortable room, and an amazing breakfast. Great spa facility. Excellent value for money!
Nice position on coast bed comfortable
Very hard to find .. car park miles away from hotel (10 mins walk). No instructions /directions on car park telling you where hotel was. Signage poor. No light on sign at gate so difficult to find in dark. Lights on drive were not on at night. We booked late but didn’t like the email saying book restaurant 5 days notice!
The views are spectacular, our bedroom had a balcony which was lovely, especially as we were lucky with the weather. The spa facilities are great, you can access all of the areas as a resident of the hotel, it is just the treatments that cost extra. We paid for a parking space which made life easier. The restaurant is comfortable with with beautiful views and fabulous food. I can't fault the hotel at all, it was super relaxing.
There was nothing I didn't like!
Lovely location , pleasant room which with access to Marine Spa was good value .
The services offered were pricey and the bathroom especially the shower could have been cleaner
Great location, very friendly staff, comfy beds , water fountains on each floor with glass bottles in the room.
Having to wear a swimming cap in the pool and the spa closing at 6 . No full length mirror in the room.
The location, the food was excellent, and the spa facilities are fabulous
The hotel is a little dated
Excellent location. Staff was friendly.
Swimming pool and wellness facilies opening hours too short. Restaurant was full every day.
Location
Spa, Bar,Reception. Tired looking hotel. Tatty. Terrible bar.
Lovely pools, jacuzzis and steam room/sauna. Staff were very patient with my intermediate French. Great view!
A bit of a walk from the town, though that meant being right on the beach, so every cloud...
General ambiance.
The room was spotless but there was fatty food stuck to the floor timbers on the external balcony - remains of a meal from a previous occupant !
loved the rooms and reception staff
the pool was miserable, swim hats and lycra shorts in this age is ridiculous, couldnt find towels easily either and the hot tub was out of order
The breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice and very fresh. The location was brilliant.
It would have helped to have had some good leaflets/information about the facilities available. It wasn't very clear at all how to use the spa facilities nor the cost etc. However, a significant issue for us was that the Internet was unavailable for our entire stay which made things very difficult for us. Opening the pools at 0900 and closing early was a problem.
I do not understand how this can be a four-star hotel. The swimming pool windows are covered in bird droppings, as are all the windows in the bedrooms. The sauna doors don’t even close, and honestly, it looks like a retirement home from the sixties. The decor is plastic and for over 300 euros a night, the rooms look like they belong to a cheap, tasteless hotel. If you have experienced other four-star hotels, do not book this one.Our bedroom bins were full, the bathroom was dirty, and the 30-euro dinner menu was subpar. Honestly, the only good things are the view and the employees, who are actually nice. There are two swimming pools: one with two pathetic jets and another one filled with salt, which is totally uncomfortable.I am sad to say that I will never set foot in this place again. If you want a good view, book something cheaper that is not dirty, poorly maintained, or filled with plastic decor. I sincerely hope someone else will take over this hotel and improve it because it has so much potential. Be prepared to be disappointed not worth the price at all
dirty, bad taste, poorly maintained, bad food...but ok good view for 400 euros pricey
