Porto Covo Praia Hotel & SPA

I arrived early after a long flight and bus ride and was grateful to the hotel staff for letting me check in early. The breakfast buffet was one of the largest I have seen. Overall, this hotel was a great experience and I wish I could have stayed longer.

Clean modern hotel with nice outdoor and indoor pool, very small steam/sauna room. Location five minute from town center.

Reception staff possibly the rudest I have ever encountered. Obvious dislike of foreigners.

Lovely hotel and spa, the staff was so friendly and professional— they helped us on multiple occasions. The room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and a wide variety of fresh products. The outside and indoor pools and spa facilities were really nice. There is even a pool bar, and the bar of the hotel was also very nice! Easy parking outside and underground. Access to the beach very easy.

We could hear the pipes between room bathrooms when neighbours shower etc but not a major problem. Would suggest lounge music at the bar (VS sports on TV).

The breakfast had so much variety, it was a great spread and not a continental breakfast. They had fruits, granola, muselli, and so many other choices. The shower is excellent!, Rooms are clean! Rooms facing pool or ocean are must, the other side has a construction building next door. It was walkable to beaches and the restaurant row. The signature spa treatment was enjoyable!

The place was perfect!

Everything was great. The view from our seaside room was perfect, but my favorite part was the staff. They were always helpful, and Tai was super sweet and friendly. She also makes the best esspresso martini!!

I would have appreciated a small table on the balcony.

The breakfast was amazing! Plenty of hot and cold options. The best were super comfortable. Loved having the robes in the room and the ability to swap out beach/pool towels whenever you wanted. Shower was amazing. Grounds are gorgeous, pool is peaceful and clean. Proximity to the beach was perfect. Front desk staff was super sweet and helpful.

Very modern and sophisticated hotel with good facilities.Room had a good view of the sea. Good car parking. Breakfast was very good.

Reception and bar staff could have been friendlier. Beds could be bigger. Rooms could accommodate bigger beds.

The crowdedness of indoor pool, dinner was just okay at restaurant. Could have used another chair or table in room.

The view of the ocean and Sines Port was amazing, on that note it was amazing! although there werent many restaurants around. and the 3 im giving is more because of the welcoming we had on the room than any other thing

Well a lot of things, the inside pool floor was Super wet, like a giant puddle with no end, they have rules for that pool which some people were not applying but there was never any staff there to even care, the sauna and turkish bath were turned off, you would need to go up the reception to ask them to turn it on, because there was no other staff in the area which for safety reason was terrible, no supervision of the sauna/turkish bath, nor the pool, so you are literelly on your own.Then the restaurant and food in general, i thought i would never say this about a restaurant of a 4 star hotel in Portugal but wow, the food was awfull clearly low quality ingredients for breakfast, no diversity whatsoever. For diner we were warned that we needed to book before going so we did book to be sure (it was fully empty... no wonder why), we ordered the Couvert which was 9.5€ for 2, we were served 2 pieces of small bread like less than the palm of my hand, 4 super tiny butters with no flavour whatsoever... then came the soup which was like... 3 full spoons of a supposedly tomato food (6.5€).Then Service... no compassion, served "fancy" dishes with no flavour but no knowledge on how to serve them, they tried to take our dishes out 2 times before we were done, water served and bottle placed on the other side of the table but never served again.The room... the curtains dont close all the way, coffee on the room needs to be paid... The hotel garage was already closed at 22h45, we had to drive 20-30 mins to find a restaurant that we would be interested in (because the hotel one was an expensive disaster), so we had to come back a little late, and had to park outside.long story short, not at all worth for the price, not at all a 4 star hotel, more like low 3

Pool was nice. Good location. Beautiful beaches in walking distance.

Breakfast and food was below average. Could be nice having duvet cover instead of blankets below and on top of the duvet... always ended up in a mess after sleeping.

Spacious room, amazing breakfast!

For a spa, it was disappointing to learn that the sauna was out of use so it only had a steam room and a swimming pool. The steam room and sauna are really small which isn’t obvious from the pictures. Had to find staff to be able to order lunch and/or drinks and it felt like we were an inconvenience for asking.

Staff was great ! Restaurant it has beautiful dishes.The massage services were great!The ocean just ahead of us! Very well isolated windows.

Unfortunately, the spa it's deceiving as the sauna was barely hot and the hammam was not working. Nobody has warned us we had to request to connect it. The showers in the perimeter of the pool without any hooks to hang towels or clothes ( not even in the shower) and no soap in them. In general, the building it's poorly built.Though the rooms are spacious there's one chair in one corner and one desk chair. One has to seat on the bed in a rainy day.

The bar was closed, in a weekend on saturday, if you wish to relax and enjoy a cocktail, a glass of wine and enjoy the seaview, there is nothing.There should be a option, in truth there was not any, even by paying.
