Hotel Restaurant Monte Leone

Staff was adorable and rooms were cozy. Great views from the restaurant

Quick check-in, simple room but we didn’t need much else. Had a great menu of the day - fresh and big portions, which was important for us as hikers. The hotel itself isn’t much but it’s a convenient stopover on the Simplon pass.

This was the darkest shower I’ve ever been in - the dark curtain and no light source inside the shower itself. Otherwise the bathroom is renovated and good enough, could just use a light bulb in the shower.

Breakfast (buffet-style) was very rich and with a lot of items.

During the afternoon a little noise coming from below (kitchen at the ground floor) but in the overall it was quiet.

The situation was so lovely with the mountains very close. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Food was good. Price very reasonable.

It should not be call a hotel, more a motel or hostel.There was mold on the wall of the room.The sink in the room was not very cleanThe bed sheet was clean but old and the pillows were very old.The room was supposed to have private bathroom which was not the case. It was clean but very smelly (coming from the pipes)

Stunning location, albeit remote, brilliant staff!!! so friendly and attentive. great food and beer.

Had no information that they close for food pretty early. I went down for food at 7 and they were closed. They did sympathise though and made a great meal for myself and a fellow traveller in the same situation. a great place with a great atmosphere I shall return to.

A good place to sleep before a mountaineering trip from the Simplonpass. The staff was friendly, and they prepared our breakfast the night before since we had to get up early. Moreover, they allowed us to leave our belongings in the room and have a shower after the trip. The restaurant has nice views and a pond below.

Although we booked a room with bathroom, we got one without it (in our case we had the common toilet just for us). Moreover, the room was in the bottom floor and was quite cold/humid. The mattresses are worn...
