Borgo di Santa Barbara

We had an amazing stay at Borgo di Santa Barbara and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. This family-run hotel is incredibly welcoming, with staff who are only too happy to help.Our Junior Suite was perfect for our needs — the kitchenette was very well equipped, and the two balconies offered wonderful views that made our mornings and evenings special. Breakfast was great, with plenty of choice, and we especially appreciated the scrambled eggs made to order.We also had dinner in the hotel restaurant twice, and it was excellent — the desserts in particular were simply to die for! The swimming pool was another highlight, providing a lovely spot to relax and unwind.Overall, Borgo di Santa Barbara exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to return.

Absolutely everything about this property is outstanding. Six out of five stars! Fabio and his family are running a beautiful resort. From the made from scratch food in the restaurant to the poolside cocktail service to the views of the seas- everything exceeded our expectations!

The property was very beautiful and well maintained. The family rooms were excellent with plenty of natural light and excellent AC :). The breakfast was delicious.

The Wifi was spotty at times in the room but was not a major issue. Everything else was perfect!

This is an amazing B&B with many things to offer. There are excision’s, a restaurant, inviting family atmosphere, amazing breakfast….I could go on. The owners are very welcoming and accommodating. We will be back.

Rooms were on the smaller side & the location was quite far from the Centre & from the beach. You definitely need to hire a car to get around. Thought it was quite expensive for what it was .

It was a few minutes away from Tropea. Bed was comfortable, heating worked great, bathroom was very modern. Breakfast was very complete. Convenient parking inside the property.

Wifi is limited to one connection per person, so if you have a phone and laptop you can only use one at a time. Should be increased to 2. Probably you can ask for more during check in.

Nice area, well maintained, we received an upgrade of the room, good breakfast.

We started with an argument with the manager because of a misunderstanding. His reaction was unpleasant and not hospitable. Small room and bathroom..

It was well positioned. Beautiful surroundings with plenty of parking. The room was spotlessly cleaned and serviced daily. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Amazing hotel from really such a nice family! Everything was great ! From very nice and clean rooms till very friendly and super nice stuff . And big plus for excellent food in daily bar and La Locanda ristorante.

Excellent service, all of the staff spoke besides Italian either English or German impeccably. Breakfast was good and fresh. The room's interior was not so much my taste but it was comfortable and well-equipped. Pool area is nice and not too crowded (at least during end of August when we were there).The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful and quiet. Without a car however it is virtually impossible to move around as for most or the road there is not even a sidewalk.

It was very fresh and clean, the staff were so kind and helped us with everything we needed. The restaurant that belongs to the hotel is so good! The best food we ate on our visit in Italy.

This is a beautiful family owned hotel with excellent, friendly service, a pool, a lovely restaurant, beautiful views, and delicious breakfasts. I had a lovely, modern room with a sea view and large terrace. I totally enjoyed my stay and would love to return.

Fantastic staff, really friendly and welcoming. Always helpful. Relaxing environment. Great breakfast options in the morning and great food at the restaurant in the evening. Provided transfers whenever needed, which were always reliable; this as a lone traveller was a fantastic bonus as it provided me with a safe, reliable and affordable way to explore the area.

Perfect stay for a long weekend outside of Tropea. Hotel offered shuttle service which we used to go into Tropea or to the beach at a very reasonable cost. On site restaurant was excellent!

Some rooms near the train tracks but noise was not a big issue.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Hotel location was a little bit too far from Tropea center. Public transportation was missing, but the hotel owner arranged us excellently transfers from and to the airport and to and from Tropea center as needed.

Martina was so kind, a fabulous cook— the breakfast is one I will not forget!
