    Pros +

    • the best location to experience the islands.
    • Our house/cabin had a lot of charm, with great views, located right above the water. The beds were very comfortable. The restaurant serves excellent food and has excellent service.
    • Excellent location with great restaurant. The space was rustic and charming.

    Cons -

    • Nothing - we liked everything.
    • The lighting was very poor making it hard to see. Some of the lights were oddly placed pointing right at your eyes yet somehow still not very bright. It almost felt like candle level brightness throughout. The bathroom could use updating.
    • Our cabin did not have a view or an outside area to sit.

Cabin was spacious. Full kitchen a bonus. Breakfast was very good but was an additional cost of about $30 per person.

Our cabin did not have a view or an outside area to sit.

The location is special and the views are incredible.

The bed was small and the shower covered the entire bathroom floor as it barely drained away.

    1BelindaPosted on: 4-2-2025

The cabin was very dusty (no evidence of being cleaned really, loads of spiderwebs on the large fish hook dangling from the ceiling, dust along the shelving, etc.) and had an overpowering wood smell- after airing out the room for hours it still had this smell and made it difficult for us to breathe. There was also a very sinister black-and-white photo on the wall of two unsmiling fishermen holding a gigantic beheaded fish between them, straight out of a horror movie. It ended up covered with a towel. Did I mention the gigantic murderous-looking fish hook dangling from the ceiling? The curtains were no better than paper towels at blocking light, and because there were about five windows there was a lot of light. Overall a lot of creaking and banging at night, I guess given the age of the property, to the point that it felt like the flagpole outside of the room was about to topple over in the wind. Yes the fish cabins are traditional, old, whatever, but the furnishings and kitchenette were poorly maintained and could have been updated to travelers' needs- for example, the dishes and utensils in the cabinets were mostly dirty and the ventilation insufficient to remove the gas smell from cooking. Other rorbuer in the area manage to maintain their historical links without sacrificing this much guest comfort. There were other small issues but I won't beleaguer the point as I think I've communicated the overall impression. We had to move to this accommodation after our original hotel had a water pipe issue, so it wasn't the original booking. Was also on high alert for potential bedbugs as I'd previously read a review about another traveler's experience with the insects at the property. The price for the night was far far far above what I'd pay to stay in these conditions.

The property was amazing! Modernized fishermen original cabins, with breathtaking views. The staff was very kind and responsive. The restaurant is excellent, with all local delicious options. We really loved it!

    Good

No breakfast because not enough people…they gave you a bag with low quality products…

    Location is good

My aunt was injured by the glass door in the shower. The property didn’t respond to my request, no apologies or anything. When I asked Booking.com to step in, they couldn’t reach the property either.

The place is incredibly cozy, featuring a big living room and an open kitchen area. The equipment worked well. And a very good spot in the night to see the Northern Lights.

Maybe the enter sign needs to be a little big bigger or more visualized.

I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Reine. The Rorbuers feel very authentic and ours was so cosy and comfortable. The heated floors in the entrance and bathrooms were very welcome. We enjoyed having our own balcony with a great view of the harbour and lucky for us, the Northern Lights.

Gorgeous cabin in amazing location. Views were incredible. So lovely to hear the water lapping against the shore from your bed.Great cafe next door with friendly, helpful staff.

Unfriendly and unhelpful reception. We didn’t have breakfast as would have been a plated meal given to us the night before to have in our room in the morning….not very appealing.

The location is great. No view from my room. Just walk 2 minutes from the room and the view is great. There are full kitchen in the room, even the hotel's restaurant is great it is wonderful to do a simple dish like broiling vegetable for a changes. Also, the breakfast is wonderful.

The shower drain clogged at the first night when I took shower. After I reported to the reception, they fixed it next day. Thanks.

Amazing view from accommodation over fjord. Wonderful location. Accommodation fully equipped with living room and kitchen etc. Nice warm bedding. Really wonderful place (only the small steps from front door to living area and again to top room are inconvenient for elderly people).

Very small steps from from door to living area and again to top rooms. Difficult for elderly to access and to carry luggage to room

Amazing place, amazing breakfast, cozy room and good atmosphere.

Very cute cabin. Amazing view of the harbor and mountains. Beds were comfortable.

Did not realize all 4 beds were twins and no queen size for 2 adults. Terrible smell coming up from the shower drain.

    10NicoPosted on: 8-27-2024

Dinner at the restaurant was outstanding. Reindeer tartare as a starter and Reindeer sirloin as a main course are to be recommended. We had a great time. Service was excellent.

    Great location and great views

Could hear the people next to us completely. Every word of their conversation at times. Not a quiet place at all. Also very small room.

    7LizPosted on: 8-20-2024

Charming traditional cottages in a beautiful setting. Restaurant associated with hotel is excellent.

Reception was ok but not great. Furnishings felt a bit sparse and worn. Mattress not at all comfortable (sagging in middle).

    7GoranPosted on: 8-19-2024

    Everything, great shower, very cute

The bed. Most basic thing, but they got it wrong. Two single beds that were very awkward to sleep in. Too soft, with any movement making you feel like you’ll fall off the bed
