- Location, room, breakfast
- Beautiful views, delicious restaurant for both breakfast and dinner, and friendly staff. The staff is very willing to help in any way. They helped me make dinner reservations, pool and spa reservations, boat reservations, and private transfers. They were all nice. The location is perfect. There is not a better location in Ravello. The restaurant for dinner is especially good. The dinner was one of our best meals in Italy
- My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Palazzo Confalone in Ravello in late May, and the experience was nothing short of outstanding. This historic palazzo exudes timeless charm, seamlessly blending old-world elegance with modern comfort. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast that unfold from nearly every corner of the property. The terrace breakfasts were a highlight of our mornings—fresh, delicious, and served with panoramic vistas that linger in memory. Our dinner at the hotel's restaurant was equally memorable: refined cuisine, a romantic atmosphere, and impeccable service. What truly sets Palazzo Confalone apart is its dedicated staff. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality elevated our entire stay. They clearly take great pride in ensuring every guest feels welcomed and cared for.Whether you're admiring the intricate architecture, savoring a quiet moment on the terrace, or exploring the wonders of Ravello, Palazzo Confalone offers an unforgettable experience. Thank you to all who have made our stay such a memorable experience!
Cons -
- Everything was great
- There's nothing not to like about this place.
- The hotel is located at the top of a hill with quite a few steps from where our taxi dropped us off near the main square. Apparently, we needed to call the hotel to arrange a drop off at a closer location but that was never communicated to us, so instead, we schlepped our suitcases up the hill on an already hot day. That was not the best start to our stay.

There's nothing not to like about this place.
Beautiful old palazzo with stunning grounds and views over the valley and sea. We had both dinner and breakfast there and the food was very good. The garden is gorgeous and there were many places to justvsit and take in the views. The woman at the front desk was helpful in arranging a taxi for us last minute to Salerno.

Services were excellent. Breakfast and our one lunch were outstanding. The staff are super friendly and helpful
Everything was perfect
Location
Staff + breakfast (plastic bag for Kellogs cereal + lack of communication at night
Employees were so nice. Our room had a great balcony with tremendous view. The breakfast was superb!
Amazing breakfast location
Rooms in basement very dark and also rooms generally need TLC with a lot of marks on walls.
The room was clean, the staff was helpful.
Overpriced for the facilities offered. €45 per night for parking.
Spectacular view from Ravello. Location is superb, central. The room was special and gave a beautiful outing to the garden. Breakfast was excellent, fresh food, great staff and incredible view
Bath towels should be put in bathroom. Free water should be provided free of charge for the price paid. Staff should not be stingy about the use of their umbrellas.
The facilities were beautiful. The views outstanding. What really made Palazzo Confalone remarkable was the staff. From the very moment you exit the taxi they make you feel special. A very special thank you to the dining staff, Franco, Bartolo and the girl with the wonderful smile, Enza.
Well maintained and clean with friendly staff
We felt the amenities were limited for a 5 star hotel - no tea/coffee/water in the room, no iron so we had to pay extra for ironing services, etc. Our garden room smelt a little damp and the overhead shower wasn’t working. Plus, in the Summer heat it would have been nice to have had a pool or at least an option to visit somewhere with a pool, perhaps an arrangement with another facility or with a lido.
The views and position of the hotel
There was a strange energy at the property which made the stay very uncomfortable. The junior suite sold online at a special rate was in the basement and had alot of noise from upstairs, then the hotel offered to charge €150 on top to move to another suit upstairs which should have been offered without extra charge. In addition, it felt as though the property was haunted and vacant.
Amazing - beautiful and stunning architecture. Rooms were a good size. Staff were super friendly and very helpful. The views were out of this world.
No pool but the hotel did arrange for us to use a pool at a different hotel which was really nice.
Wonderful genuine service in a lovely hotel in picturesque Ravello. Make sure you experience dinner on the terrace - superb food, outlook and service.
Everything - this is the most beautiful place in the world. The building is absolutely spectacular, the room was so lovely and the garden is beyond peaceful. The service is impeccable and the staff are very kind. As if that weren’t enough, the restaurant is absolutely outstanding. While it may be under a new name now, the beauty and perfection of Hotel Palumbo still remains here.
Nothing - no complaints.
Friendly and attentive staff made us feel incredibly welcome. The room was spacious and lovely and the bathtub excellent. The room had an excellent view, as did the dining room/terrace. The food was of exceptional quality.
Helpful staff, room, the good service
Getting to the hotel, the hotel should explain how to get to the hotel. because of his location google map takes you to a wrong place.
Wow! What an exceptional hotel, staffed by some of the most friendly, professional, polite and accommodating staff you could wish for. Nothing was too much trouble. My Wife and I stayed for a long weekend to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary and my Wife's Birthday, and we were completely enraptured by the charm of the hotel and the warmth of the welcome from the wonderful staff. From our initial greeting we were made to feel valued and very welcome. The hotel is truly an amazing building with so much character and in a wonderful location just a short walk above the town square of Ravello. The room we stayed in - The Contessa - was beautiful. A huge bathroom with separate shower and spa / jacuzzi bath and 'his and hers' sinks. The suite has a separate seating area, dressing room and a very comfortable bed. The jewel was the double doors that open up onto a garden terrace with incredible views over Marmorata and Minori. Each room on the garden terrace level had its own private seating area and across the well manicured lawn was another dining terrace. On the day of our anniversary, we were able to have a private champagne breakfast, complete with rose petals adorning the table and single red roses for each of us - making it a truly memorable start to our special day.The incredible staff were extremely accommodating in allowing us to carry out our own personal photo shoot to capture new memories of this wonderful weekend. The breakfast served each day was exceptional and certainly set you up for a day of exploring the beautiful town of Ravello. If you are looking for a romantic location or even a place where you can reset and put life into perspective - this is the perfect location.
There was nothing that wasn't liked. One small improvement could be the inclusion of tea and coffee making facilities in the room to accompany the mini-bar.
Very Beautiful place with extremely nice service. Was a big pleasure to be there. If you want a great service, in this palazzo, they know how to do it)...Also a garden with fruit trees and an incredible view!
