- The location was on the fjord was great.
- Location - Nusfjord village is spectacular. Restaurant was also excellent.
- An amazing feat of BEAUTIFUL architectural, cultural and historical preservation. The staff were incredible, the grounds are enough to explore in themselves and if you want to branch out to more extreme multi day trips, it is a perfect jumping off point. Perfectly private, remote but still close to so much more. Modern amenities in a piece of living history - so lucky to have stayed here.
Cons -
- Very small bedroom and bed. Room was very roughly furnished, but that was to be expected when renting a fishing cabi
- Nothing not to like - seriously
- My own fault, didn't realize there was also a separate living room dining room and kitchen area. The door appeared locked up on entry and in the winter darkness, I never thought to test it again. Only after a housekeeping visit did they leave that side of the cabin open.

Loved the location and all of the property amenities. Bonus points for the short stunning nature walks you could enjoy right from the village resort, stunning! And the staff was incredible managing through the power outage and heavy snow storms. Very restful stay.

Post card small fishing village, we were there when there is less tourist, almost having the place for ourselves.and the Food was great.
I LOVED my stay here. It was only property out of the 5 that I stayed at in the Lofoten that provides you with slippers. Also the only one to provide you with a little welcome treat of homemade chocolate chip cookies. They had the BEST breakfast buffet! The restaurants were a short walk away. The living room rug was the softest rug I’ve ever set foot on. Huge fluffy pillows that were super comfy for sleep. The bedroom and bed were one of the most comfortable ones. They also provide you with a Bluetooth radio, games, and books about the Lofoten. I also liked that it was a design-focused property - very aesthetic. The spa had outdoor hot tubs which were perfect for a rainy day. Cutest little general store and cafe: Landhandleriet Cafe
I can’t believe that the spa isn’t open in the morning — it’s only open from 2-9pm. There were only 2 chargers for all of the properties near mine, which wasn’t nearly enough because the speed was slow and therefore both chargers were hogged all day/night that I was there. Access to doing a cold plunge is pretty far from the sauna. Sooo many tourists walking by at all times.
Nice feeling of a small fishing village but the interiors had all the classic comforts of a lux hotel. Good breakfast spread with fresh products. The restaurant Karoline offered a lovely dinner, and the other cafe and gallery were great too. I didn't stay long enough to make use of all the activities on offer but it seemed like a good list of options.
There were quite a lot of tourists/ day-visitors passing in front of the cabin where we were, with cameras too. Didn't feel very private.
The location is very remote but also very beautiful. The restaurants were exceptional.
It’s not super close to lots of things but that’s true of all of the Lofoten Islands.
We were very excited to stay in Nusfjord this year and our expectations were far exceeded! The rorbu we stayed in was so cute, comfortable and well decorated. So relaxing to hear the water lapping outside. We visited the spa twice during our stay and it was so beautiful. Fantastic breakfast and very nice staff. Love!
nothing!
Loved the amazing location and comfortable rooms. The staff was lovely and the food was excellent. It was my favorite stop on the Lofoten Islands
My room was on the harbor so it was a little noisy till late due to people walking and talking next toMy bedroom.
Very nice and cosy room, nice bathtub and sauna and excellent food at restaurant Karoline. Pretty location!
The room is nice, also breakfast, staff
Too crowded wt the tourist during day time
Comfortable beds and nice amenities, wonderful breakfast
We chose to stay at nusfjord for the activities but there weren’t enough people interested to conduct the boat tour, and we couldn’t book a single massage in the spa over the course of 3 days. The staff were not helpful whatsoever with coordinating these activities which was the purpose of our stay. Furthermore and worst of all, we had a car issue requiring roadside assistance on the property grounds- the reception could not provide a phone number to a local towing agency or local authorities, and didn’t even come near the vehicle to offer any form of assistance whatsoever. When the tow company arrived, he knew exactly where to find our vehicle because he said it was the 4th time he’s towed a car in the exact same spot this year. Our two bedroom cottage was comfortable, but it was in full display of every single person walking the dock, providing absolutely no privacy as everyone looked into our living room and both bedrooms.
Great sauna and jacuzzi. Breakfast was excellent.
A little bit isolated but if you’re looking for quiet it’s perfect.
Most Positive Experience – A Perfect Stay! This was by far one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly helpful, kind, and attentive, making me feel truly welcome. A special thank you to Aleksandra Drzal, who was incredibly helpful in arranging both a private boat tour and restaurant reservations—her assistance made a huge difference. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and offered a stunning view that took my breath away every morning. The breakfast was exceptional—fresh, delicious, and with plenty of variety to suit every taste. The staff at both breakfast and dinner were outstanding—friendly, professional, and made every meal feel special. One of the most memorable experiences was the private boat tour led by Svein Roar Petterson—it was absolutely amazing and a true highlight of my trip. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was warm, relaxing, and perfectly suited for both leisure and business. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. Everything was perfect for my stay, and I can’t wait to come back again. This hotel is an absolute must-stay!
NON
The location was very good .
The kitchen was ill equipped with no gas burner or kitchen. The rooms were very small and large multiple pillows filled the small room space .No restaurants around for 40-50 kms .
Excellent breakfast , nice restaurant
parking lots is a bit too small
A stunning location with a rustic vibe. The resort exudes an air of peace and tranquillity from the moment of arrival. Both evening restaurants were delicious and the cafe for lunch was very pleasant, if a little too limited in choice. We undertook a number of activities including the rib boat ride, sauna experience with a dip in the Norwegian Sea and a fabulous massage. These were all superb and well worth the additional money. Some booked activities were cancelled due to the unsuitable weather, such as the Northern Lights tour and a Snowshoe walk but obviously this couldn’t be avoided. It feels a privilege to stay here, in a living museum, and the most of the staff really go out of their way to make the experience amazing. Transport to and from the airport was seamless and comfortable and it was easy to book activities through the delightful reception staff or online. We had the most wonderful stay, with many memorable experiences and with a few minor tweaks, it could have been perfect.
A couple of issues made the experience just less than perfect, but could be very easily rectified. Most notably, when staying at a Small Luxury Hotel, a certain level of service and facilities are expected. Our kitchenette had a lovely selection of tea sachets and creamer, yet no English Breakfast Tea or milk. I left a note for housekeeping asking them to supply a couple of breakfast tea sachets and a jug of fresh milk for the fridge. There were three members of the housekeeping staff in our room when we returned from lunch and in response to my request they said that they could supply neither, as they didn’t have them and were unable to offer a solution. I went to the on-site cafe and bought 4 teabags and a small paper cup of milk, paying 200NOK (£15). This made me feel undervalued as a guest and housekeeping could easily have done the same as I did to help.Secondly, the rooms are very basic which is part of the charm however there is certainly space for a small free standing wardrobe or chest of drawers. There were four nails on our bedroom wall to hang things but no clothes storage space so we had to live out of our suitcase for 4 days. When I’m on holiday I prefer to be able to unpack to feel like I belong. Finally, as the weather cannot be guaranteed it was a shame that the indoor activities that would be unaffected by weather were unavailable - we were unable to book either the mindfulness or art sessions as they weren’t running. These should be offered on a more regular basis.
Where to start... Nusfjord is a lovely small fishermen village, with very tastefully designed and decorated cabins. The views are breathtaking, the staff is kind, helpful and multicultural, which brings on such interesting conversations! We had an amazing time here, from the relaxing sauna to the delicious food served both at dinner (Karoline is a showstopper) and breakfast. Waking up to such beautiful sights can only brighten your day. Will definitely be back to admire the beauty of the midnight sun!
Very clean, comfortable and cozy☺️
