Pros +
- It’s a palace, nicely done
- Facilities, garden, location.
- Hotel located in best location in Aviles, beautiful building but the interior of the hotel and the room I was assigned was outdated (quite old). The breakfast was highest quality I have ever seen, Amazing.
Cons -
- Somethings need upkeep, especially in the bathroom. Double beds also moved apart.
- For a 5‑star hotel, my experience was very disappointing. The property is clearly understaffed. There was only one waitress working in the restaurant, and after waiting an hour just to place our order, my family and I were told that the staff was too busy handling room service. We were also informed that they had run out of chicken and meat, and the only option available was salad. If you plan to stay here, I strongly recommend avoiding the restaurant and ordering room service instead to ensure you actually get a meal.Additionally, the water in the shower never maintained a consistent temperature, the toilet paper was very low quality, and the staff made no effort to communicate in English. The hotel provides only one complimentary bottle of still water, which felt insufficient for a 5‑star standard.
- Interior of hotel: quite old. My room, furniture, toilet and fixtures were very old, and were not up to my expectations for a 5* stars hotel.

I like the hotel’s location. Many restaurants around.Hotel
getting to the hotel difficult. Girl in front desk tried to help but was there by herself.
Beautiful, full service property in the heart of Aviles. Great and bountiful breakfast.
We loved everything about Palacio de Aviles. Being in the heart of the dowtown area made a great first impression. The service was friendly, helpful and efficient. We especially enjoyed the proximity to the bus station which made our day trip to Cudillero super easy and we were just a short taxi ride away from Playa de Salinas. In the evening, the Jardin is beautiful and peaceful.
Location is excellent, the coffee area inside with snacks is a great place to work, unwind when you get back in or just read a book.
Parts of the hotel like the rugs on the stairs and hallways, the bathrooms and aspects of the room are starting to get outdated.
The location is great and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I upgraded for a nominal amount and had a huge room with 2 balconies and a sitting area. The staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. The food and service in the Seagram’s Gastropub were excellent!
We do not eat breakfast. Just had Coffee. I told the Waitress this is all we wanted and would be happy to pay for our cup of Coffee. I guess She thought we were having a full breakfast because as we were checking out the Woman asked said we had breakfast
Not much anyone could do about it..Mosquitos! Had to keep the beautiful Windows that looked over the Garden shut..and Please do Not use Mosquito spray..
Beautiful historical section and great location.
We were first put in the new section where our room was very hot because there was no air and it was directly in the sun all day. Fortunately they moved us to the historic part of the hotel and our room was lovely with a view of the plaza.
A first class hotel right on the highly desirable main plaza and of course right on the Camino route. Surrounded by stores, restaurants and good vibes. It could not have been better.
I stayed over 500 nights over the years. I felt like a number since Amelia taken over. I miss the NH staff.
Hotel in a historic building, we love it.Perfect location, it is so close to everything, restaurants, train & bus.
All good
Found this hotel by accident while looking for a stopover after a late flight. Very pleasantly surprised. Beautiful old building which has been tastefully modernised. Rooms are very comfortable. Very good choice for breakfast. Perfect location in the old town.
Parking is extra and would add up for a longer stay.
Location and restaurant
No free parking
Beds were super comfy, location was perfect, staff were helpful. Hotel itself is very stylish and has a premium feel.
Check in was a long process particularly as I had emailed all the details over in advance.
Historical building in the center of a town
for two people only one one teeth cleaning kitno slippersslightly shabby furniture, electrical sockets no longer adhere tightly to the wall; there are few sockets at the head of the bed: if the floor lamps are on, you won’t be able to charge your phone; there is a corkscrew but no wine glasses
Great location, friendly responsive staff
Too big, needs more charm
Stunningly renovated original building with modern room tower added. Next to formal garden. Impressive artwork throughout. Perfectly located on main square and connected to large public park. Friendly, helpful reception staff. Excellent breakfast.
Disappointed we were unable to enjoy restaurant due to special event.
Location is excellent, although the parking is not part of the hotel, the public parking garage is right under the hotel and super convenient. The hotel is located right in the old town, it is beautiful and offers art, concerts, etc.
The bathroom did not have a window and the ventilation system did not work which was not very comfortable.
