Victoria Mobilehome in Padova Premium Camping Resort

The camp site was nice. The beach and the shops were close by. The pool area is good, but the beachside is very narrow and extremely crowded.

The mobile home was fine, nothing fancy but adequate. We received a card for the door upon arrival, but unfortunately, on the third day, we lost it and couldn’t get back into the mobile home. We called the lady for assistance, but she was in the city and couldn’t come, and no one else had a key to help us unlock the door. As a result, we spent 4 hours waiting outside our mobile home, until finally, at 11 p.m., she returned and let us in. To make matters worse, at check-out, they charged us for €33 for the lost card. We were quite disappointed. While we understand we needed to pay for something we lost, we at least expected a quicker response, as it was unreasonable to spend 4 hours locked out of our accommodation. In addition, they didn’t stick to the given times at all. Even though they told us we’d receive the wristbands for pool access next morning at 8 a.m., we didn’t get anything until 10 a.m. when we went to the desk to ask for it. Additionally, I’d like to note that it wasn’t mentioned in the details that a deposit is required for pool access.

Everything was great. Quiet location, close to the beach, a pleasant walk to the town of Rab. I would especially praise Mr. Irena Kos, who even sorted out the problem with forgotten clothes after the end of our stay.

The houses are new, spacious, have 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, everything you need in the kitchen. The terrace is large and the surroundings are very nicely arranged. Caretaker Irena was kind and helpful.

The staff is unorganized, not easily reachable. We waited an hour for check in (we were there on time, 4pm as stated and picked on booking.com) and an hour for check out (after the agreed upon time for check out and after calling the responsible person). Missed some basic essentials like soap and dish detergent.

The camp is suitable for families with small children. Regulated acess to the water, clean sea, shallow water, close to the city center. The possibility of using the outdoor pool.

The photos and text did not reflect what we got. A mobile home with a sea view has been published but we got the house with a view to the back side of two neighboring houses. The prices in the restaurant are too high.

Very nice, new mobile homes, comfortable. Very friendly and proffesional staff. Area with nice garden, good plane for family with children. Maro Club for kids is superb.

It wasnt clear what house we booked. On arrival they gave us small house that we couldnt fit in. Than we had to top up for a bigger house. Its a trick from host and please mind this since its not first time thats happening there!!!

Padova camping resort is beautiful, there is a lot of trees (providing the shade during hot days), everything is clean and well maintained. Victoria part of the resort is very nice and quite quiet - it is not possible to park your car next to the mobile home, which may be taken as disadvantage, but it means that there is absolutely no "traffic" around your mobile home (that is perfect if you have small kids). The beach is close (you have to use stairs) and there is also small playground for kids nearby. Mobile homes are very nice and well equipped although with one or two really annoying features.

The beach Padova III is nice but rather small and payed umbrellas and beach beds are annoying as they make it even smaller when you do not want to give a resort another 10 EUR for them. Also other services in the camping resort are not worth the cost - mainly the ice cream (the priciest and the worst from whole Rab) and the restaurant on the beach (good food but you can get far better for the cost ...). The mobile homes have two very annoying features - one is the light that is turned on every time you open the main door - this cannot be switched off so in the night if you want to sit on the terrace you have to keep the doors open, otherwise you can wake up anyone sleeping inside (the light can be shaded by some cardboard and tape ;-) ) ... The second is the air conditioning in the main bedroom - whoever placed it as it is should be kept there for at least some nights and enjoy the current of cold air coming directly into face while sleeping ... it cannot be changed so you can either turn it off or let it blow the cold air onto your head...

Great location, clean and cosy property, a lot of activities with the kids, value for money

Our host was very rude and unfriendly. At the checkin time, at 16h host didn't answer the phone at all. We waited 2h with 3 little kids for her to show up. There was no apology from her side, just a quote "checking from 16h doesn't mean you can check in at 16h and I don't have time to answer phone calls". At checkout she was also very rude, hurrying us out and making us wash the 2 cups we had coffee in, even though we payed for the cleaning, kids crying because of all the stress and hurrying... Extremely rude!

Anything we liked about this place was because of Valamar hotels or because of the beauty of Rab island itself. My humble rekommendation is: dont stay at Victoria Homes.

Where should I start? Victoria homes is some kind of sub-contractor to Valamar where they manage some of the mobile homes in the Valamar village with their own rules and services. They are not professional to the least and they will go out of their way to rip every euro they possibly can during your stay. No reception service, you have to hunt them on phone and if you are lucky they have time to talk to you, they ask for cash (!) deposit even though they make sure you pay everything before you even arrive and they only allow you to check out at an hour which is convenient to THEM. On top of their poor service, they dont maintain the area, they dont collect garbage, they dont provide you with extra towels when you ask for it, they dont bother to provide basic soap or shower gel and they even expect you to clean your own house even though you are paying hotel prices for the stay. As a cherry on the top, they give you half a toilet roll just to make sure they squeeze every last cent they can out of your stay. Oh wait there is another cherry: you cant open the entrance door without the lights going on automatically waking up everybody who is sleeping. And surprise surprise there was nothing Victoria homes could do about it! The area as such is ok but the beach in proximity to the hotel is tiny. The playgrounds resemble the Soviet union and needles to say Victoria homes doesnt care to make it look nice. All in all, this place is a disappointment which is sad since Rab is such a nice island.
