Hotel Alfinden

This property saved us after our car broke down. We chose it because it was close to the mechanics and took dogs. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Great value for money if you’re looking for a quick stop.

Like all places that have a fee for a dog I find ridiculous. The level of cleaning for a room shouldn’t be any extra because a dog was in it. The staff should always provide the highest quality when cleaning a room in a hotel.

The room was really nice, very spacious and the hotel was spotlessly clean. The location was within easy access to the city.

This hotel would have got a top notch rating from us except for the fact that the restaurant/dining room was closed for a private function as was the bar. Had we been forewarned, it would have been okay but to arrive in the early evening to zero facilities and be told that the nearest restaurant with a sit-down menu was a 5 minute drive away was unacceptable after spending a day in the car getting there.

Good location and friendly staff

The website failed to inform Mr there is a €15 charge to bring dogs. Would of stayed somewhere else had i known that it would of cost me extra charge.

Pet friendly but couldn’t take your pet anywhere in hotel except the terrace where there was no terrace service, all this for E 15 per night

As always, great hotel for stop-overs. Excellent menu for evening meal and a good breakfast selection. Staff are superb

Very good hotel in with a low-key vibe. Big bonus for being really pet friendly and allowing our dog into ALL hotel areas, including the breakfast room. Great stop-over and nice walks along the fields nearby. Decent breakfast.

The handle in our bedroom was broken and we could not open the window. Felt a tad claustrophobic during the night :(

The room was spacious and mostly clean. It was very quiet during the night. There was plenty of parking. The staff were friendly.

The dark coloured bedspreads were very old, not very clean, and had holes in them. Some of the holes looked like cigarette ash burns.

Pets allowed , not far from the highway and fairly clean.

Breakfast , it was terrible. The surroundings are a bit dirty

Very convenient for an overnight stop when travelling from Santander to Castellón. Close to the main carretera. A great place when travelling with dogs. I had to eat on the terrace, but this was fine and the service excellent. All staff very helpful and friendly.

The air con in our room was not good, only one vent was working and we had to have it on 14degrees to get any effect.when we checked out we told reception.Also at breakfast in the restaurant, it is difficult to find a member of staff to serve , this has happened several times. Often the person is in the cafe, and we have to go and ask for them. This. Is annoying
