Pros +
- Very tasty breakfast with an awesome view, free of charge parking onsite, rooms are quite spacious and beds are very comfortable. Staff is helpful and very friendly.
- The pool and whirlpool / jacuzzi were great. The layout of the hotel is nice with a restaurant with nice views. It's a big, roomy property with lots of light and access to the outdoor spaces. The location is nice. The restaurant staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was decent / solid. The coffee could have been better given the very good coffee that Portugal has on offer. We had a nice steak for dinner at the restaurant.
- Good breakfast. Nice room. Good value for the money.
Cons -
- Bathrooms were extremely cold and almost impossible to use with no way heat them.
- I’m a regular costumer. i stay at this lovely hotel for work purposes. I was sad that the hotel didn’t rebook this stay even when I let them know with a few days in advance.. still.. I’ll keep staying at this lovely hotel :’)
- There is an "air freshener" in the Lobby that is SUPER strong and it pumps out fragrance for almost 15 seconds every 30 seconds. It's so strong that I became lightheaded and couldn't think clearly for an hour or so after leaving the lobby from checking in. Then the room was also so fragrant from the cleaning products that we had to vent the room and leave the room for awhile with the air conditioner on to remove the intense smell. I worry for the reception staff sitting there taking it in those chemicals all day. We made sure to eat outside at dinner and far away from the lobby during breakfast. Of course the chemicals from the laundry room were wafting up to the outdoor restaurant patio. It was maddening and so unpleasant. I usually expect hotels to have a more neutral or natural smell. Unfortunately, for me, I couldn't stay at the Luna again unless the Lobby "air freshener" were removed and they endeavored to make the place smell more neutral. It was clear that the hotel wouldn't have smelled terrible if they hadn't made it stink, so it's fixable.

The beds were comfortable and clean
The bar and breakfast staff were not very friendly
The style was cute. The views are amazing, Well kept. The staff were lovely.
Tiny bathroom in the deluxe room we booked.Drain in shower was very slow, flooded the floor, had to have a slow flow showers. No items in the mini bar, but list and cost was there!Only hand /shower soap provided. No drying rack or slippers( as stated on list of items in room) The fire extinguishers on our floor(2) both out of date, 2017..Not enough sun lounges by pool.
Excellent place to stop for the night on our first, jet-lagged day from Lisbon to points beyond in the NE of the country. Hotel is on the top of probably the highest hill in the town and thus has a commanding excellent view. The staff were extremely friendly and the on-site restaurant was fine for us for happy hour and dinner. The provided breakfast the next morning was extremely good - lots of variety of fresh everything. Hotel has a smallish parking lot and we had no problem parking there but depending upon your arrival time and what season you visit you may find that lot full and have to park down the street.
Wonderful position looking over the town with amazing views from the beautiful panoramic lounge.Good Dinner and excellent Breakfast Buffet. Most welcoming and friendly staff, especially Maria on Reception .... outstanding!!
Nothing!
Beautiful, comfortable and peaceful hotel. It is in the downtown, very close to everything.
Unfortunately the health centre wasn't available due to maintenance. Also the swimming pools were not treated, but we could use it anyway.
Nice, clean, very nice buffet for breakfast.
A bit disapointed as the swimming pool which was one of the reason I chose this hotel wasn't available.
Quiet room good bed and friendly staff
Staff is quite load when talking to each other when one is having dinner in an empty restaurant
quiet, comfortable, great view, food in restaurant was delicious. staff were great
everything was great
The room was adequately sized for a couple and has everything we needed. The mattress is comfortable and we were greeted by the sun/view in the morning. The front desk/ dining staff were accommodating. The hotel has a parking space for clients.
Nothing. Everything went really well.
Well appointed rooms with balconies and views over Abrantes and the Tagus valley. Very comfortable beds. Gourmet-grade 3 course menu included in the half-board. Cheerful young staff. Excellent value for money in the low season.
No complaints
We always wanted to come back here after our stay was cut short when covid closed everything down. It was everything and more. The hotel is lovely with the most amazing view from a very comfortable sitting area. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast choice was excellent and dinner was also excellent. The staff were so friendly and helpful despite the language barrier.
The view from my room, my balcony, the bar and the dining room, a view that seemed to go on forever. Great fun watching the fog roll up the valley and hide the city of Abrantes while we were in sunshine only to watch the fog retreat. Breakfast was extensive and delicious, also a tasty dinner. Facilities very clean and staff very helpful.
Nothing other than I don't drive and the hotel is not really within walking distance from Abrantes train station. I thought there was a city bus but never found it. Luna Hotel Turismo was very helpful in arranging a cab back to train station.
Most comfortable bed on our journey south. Nice communal lounge area with great views.
Evening meal, not so good. Nor was breakfast.
The location was magnificent with the view looking over the city. The room was cozy, very clean, with a balcony which allowed to see the gorgeous sunrise and set. The staff were pleasant with an exceptional waiter in dining room who spoke English well and had great humour. Will highly recommend to all.
On our final morning upon leaving a Manager/Supervisor (male) came out while we were speaking with concierge who has been very helpful with directions and the male person made us feel unwelcomed to the point of rushing out.
Good breakfast. Spacious room but only one room is suitable for family and the windows go to the parking lot.
The room was very smelly due to the lack of ventilation.
Our beautiful and comfortable room, amazing atmosphere we experienced in the lounge after breakfast, with all the sunlight coming in, warming up our souls - it was beautiful! And just what we needed for a cosy little family holiday. The beautiful sunrise and sunset, we were lucky to see every single day of our stay, the views from up there... priceless! The most friendly staff. Delicious and various breakfast. Very well located, very central, although not right in the middle of the city center.
