Manager and staff friendly and kind. Lovely bar and lounge area.Breakfast was really good too. Rooms very comfortable and well decorated. A gem in central Portugal.

The food in the restaurant wasn’t good in fact on our first evening I ordered the special pasta which was inedible and had to send it back. The waiter who cooked it at our table explained it was his fault as he hadn’t cooked it that many times before The breakfast was very poor, no sliced bread for toast, we were told to use bread rolls, no warmers under the eggs or bacon which soon became cold

Most of the staff was very welcoming, the building itself is beautiful and appealing, the pool is okay, location is excellent. Bartender/subdirector was very nice and really amazing at preparing cocktails, the breakfast is reasonable and the AC is rather good. The room it rather large.

A general feeling that this isn’t a 4 star hotel and I felt deceived in many aspects.- Contradictory information about pool towels on your room: one info paper says one towel per stay, the other says one towel per day (picture below)- The hotel seems to be working on a low cost basis, lacking employees (not always someone was at the bar or at the reception), only one roll of toilet paper provided (of the poorest quality), the breakfast juice (orange and pineapple) is absolutely horrible, might as well remove it, coffee coming from the machine can’t be coffee at all.- it is announced that each and every one of the 42 rooms has minibar. It can’t be true because my room didn’t, and most of the stuff that I had bought had be thrown in the trash.- I chose a double room with one large bed, they gave me a room with 2 twin beds attached together by the sheets. Deceiving and uncomfortable. (Picture below)- only one card key provided for 2 hosts in the same room, incomprehensible.

It wasn’t cleaned enough. In bathroom I found hair on the shower walls and it wasn’t mine.

Property was beautiful, clean, spacious, staff was personable & friendly but the bedding was out dated.

Swimmingpool was closed 3 days because they were 'cleaning it'. Had to ask to open it when the cleaning maschine was already half a day just sitting there doing nothing. Doorhandles of both rooms were broke. Asked to fix it, they didn't. Bathroomfloor was filling with water after showering. There was very bad WIFI in the room. Had to use cellular data. They said they would fix it, they didn't. Breakfast was so so. Had to plate the table ourself.

Thr room was spacious with a big bed. Large walking shower with plenty of hot water.

Stunning boutique hotel that celebrates it's history with lots of original features. Staff were so lovely - Bruno in particular, and Francisco's knowledge and passion of the buildings history was captivating. Great breakfast, and rooms were a good size and spotlessly cleaned daily. You must check out the restaurant for dinner too - best pizzas we've had in a long time!! Would absolutely recommend this place.

Fantastic room and big bed. The facilities overall were excellent and in the middle of the town. Staff were friendly and happy to help with any questions. Would definitely stay again, a superb hotel.

The hotel building is beautiful and stylish, the rooms are nice and big.The staff is very helpful and friendly. The pool is clean. Very quiet around, we slept well.

There is nothing to do around, only by watersports and hiking by the river. There are a few restaurants and cafes in the village open. There was no option to eat in the hotel.

very stylish hotel and smart furniture. good sized swimming pool and very clean .. breakfast was ok

not enough plugs in bedroom for phones and tablets…. and none in bathroom for toothbrushes or razors. beds a bit firm for me. wardrobe tiny for the size of the room and minimal bathroom products. one dispenser to be used for everything…shampoo & conditioner & shower gel. not really 4 deserving of stars to me…
