- Clean and comfortable
- Fabulous hotel with a beach walk at the back door. Fantastic breakfast and now with gym and spa.
- The room was lovely and so were the staff at reception and Brian who helped with luggage.
Cons -
- No cold water in the shower it was roasting. No cold water in the sink tap. Our toilet blocked. Ordered drinks took 20 mins then the bar woman came back says she forgot to put vodka in my drink. It was vodka soda water an dash lime
- Nothing we keep coming back.
- We booked for dinner at 7.45. The young Staff serving us were all very friendly and professional, but there seemed to be a huge problem with management as service was awful from start to finish. We waited 15 minutes to get a menu and order a drink once we were seated. Then there was a long wait for everything after that. Empty glasses lined the bar - maybe short staffed. One person making drinks, lots of customers around us waiting also.

The ideal location with the beautiful velvet strand beach on the doorstep. The hotel is beautiful, so clean, beds are so comfortable and generously sized. The staff are so professional and friendly.
Have been staying at the hotel many times. The view and proximity to Family in Portmarnock
The room was not cleaned during the day, despite me hanging the sign on the door from ca 11 o clock
Room very spacious and water and treats provided with cuppa Breakfast excellent and great choice. Very enjoyable
Lovely hotel, really friendly staff. I loved that there’s a nespresso machine in the room. I had breakfast and it was really nice. I also had afternoon tea which was really lovely with a fantastic view. Very tasty and great options. I will be back.
I have no negative feedback.
Everything was beautiful ❣️hotel the staff the food the rooms
We had booked in for two De stress massages @ 5pm. The girl in this end was not helpful and she cancelled them - the money was refunded okay but it was all in the experience. We only found out on our arrival to get them done so it was a bit disappointing
The views from the room was amazing and everything was nice and clean.
The food was very questionable, very pricey for what we received especially the ham and cheese toasty. The waiter made a few mistakes and after 3 attempts we just gave up.
Clean room ,
We stay here very regularly. WeNever complain which we should have last time as the same happened but we thought it might be once off .The shower only has 2 settings, scalding hot and I mean scalding or icy cold The situation was rectified the 2nd time .My husband was quick enough to jump out but I wasn't and felt my skin burning. It is really dangerous.
Pleasant
We could only eat dinner in our room as we hadn’t booked a table in the bar and there was no other option.
Nice location, great staff, clean rooms. Best shower of our whole trip. Comfy beds, rooms were reasonably sound proof( just off of Dublin airport flight path, I expected more noise, but was pleasantly surprised). The food in the restaurant was excellent. We’ll be back.
Parking was a little tight and interesting, but workable.
Location superb, beach at doorstep and very close to Malahide village.Hotel staff very welcoming and hotel had excellent standard of cleanliness.Room spacious and beds very comfortable.Great selection for breakfast.
Breakfast is Buffett style and some contents were very cold.Perhaps having less in containers and replenish more often with hot food would make a great difference.
Loved the property . We were given a tiny room the first night it was stuffy we asked to change and we loved our new room!!
It’s a great property
Exceptional location, wide beach, and peaceful environment.
Type c charger providing, and adapters will be more beneficial.
The bed and pillows were really comfortable a great night's sleep.
We rang reception to book a table for dinner from our room and we were told as residents we didn't need to book. So shortly after 7pm we went to the restaurant to be told they were fully booked and wouldn't have a table free until 8.30pm. So we had to get a taxi and went to the Grand Hotel and got a table for my sister and I. We did go back to the receptionist and she said she is told to tell residents they don't need to book and she has noway of checking bookings in restaurant. I just think there needs to better system for residents. Other than that everything else was fine.
Spa v nice, I had lovely massage.
Pity there's no swimming pool.
Amazing place just next to the sea side.Very clean, I loved the ambiance?
Not sure about other rooms but our towels have seen better days and all discoloured.
We love the property and stay at least once a year. The position and the views are amazing and the rooms are very comfortable. There are also several dining options on site each with their own character. We will definitely be back
There was no housekeeping between the first and the second night but maybe that's the policy for short stays.
Breakfast was very good
Room was very poor standard and it was meant to be a superior room. The lighting in the room was extremely poor. Only one beside locker and no ceiling lights in the bedroom or bathroom area. Carpet was dirty & shower area was mouldy
