    Pros +

    • We visited Pontresina to enjoy an active summer holiday, with plans for hiking and biking in the surrounding area. While the hotel offered a comfortable stay facilities-wise overall, we felt that it was not primarily geared toward guests with an outdoor or sporty focus.
    • Great location, very comfortable, lovely staff and excellent restaurant.
    • The family suite is very spacious, beds were comfortable, fully stocked bathroom. Good location.

    Cons -

    • We had a significant amount of gear with us, including bikes and hiking equipment. Although a bike room was available, it was quite small and not very easy to access. On one occasion, our hiking poles were put in a room's trash bin-possibly an accident, though it did feel symbolic of the hotel’s limited accommodation for active guests. Additionally, our room was found unlocked one day, likely due to an oversight by the cleaning staff (nothing was stolen). On another morning, a disturbance occurred in the breakfast area when a guest loudly accused others, and the staff chose not to intervene. To the hotel’s credit, we were compensated for the inconvenience, which we appreciated. However, these small but notable incidents made it difficult to rate the experience as overall good.
    • The sauna wasn't working- disappointing after hikes.
    • The family suite is located in the building across the street, without an elevator. Breakfast was sparse.

    Old fashion flavor great location

Listing a sauna/steam is not worthy if they are not on when requested. Big disappointment, but would still return if/when in the area.

We stayed in the family lodge. It was superb for us. We have two teen boys, so the space was great. The hotel were fantastic, they picked us up and dropped us off at the train station.Pontresina is lovely. We did the horse ride and walked back from Val Roseg. We took the train to St. Moritz. Ideal location for us. We enjoyed the welcome drinks too.

There was nothing I could fault.

The room was nice, clean and large. Staff at the hotel helpful, took my bags in the morning before check in.

Wellness was a bit disappointment. It was not very clean.

Brilliant staff; gorgeous terrace with amazing mountain views. Loved the spa and the design of the bedrooms, incredible beds and bedding - great bathrooms! They held our luggage and offered to transport it to the station for free, so helpful. The staff were very efficient and polite. Lots of special touches - they saw it was my dad's birthday just from the passport date and sent prosecco to the room! Absolutely loved it. Stayed in 5 places on the Bernina Express and this was by far the best, most beautiful and comfortable. The town is also stunning.and the views from every room were gorgeous.

Only issue we had was with struggling to charge our phones in the room, but possibly this is to do with the difference in cables between the UK and Italy. Bring a portable charger!

    Good

Hot beverages at breakfast served to table but no waiters materialised in the breakfast area and took the requests.

The hotel feels much more like a 4 or 5-star hotel - it's really a classy place to stayThe staff are all very professional, helpful and courteousThe rooms are well-appointed and the bedding and toiletries are top qualityThe hotel restaurant is EXCELLENT - absolutely one of the best restaurants in Pontresina (probably in all of Oberengadin!)Great breakfast with a nice selection of local produce - the cheese and cold meats are lovelyEasy to reach by car or by public transport (the hotel will meet you at Pontresina train station)Very clean and hygienic accommodation

I just wish that I could visit the Hotel Müller more frequently

Great place to spend time in Engadin. I was there for a ski competition and had a very pleasant and relaxed stay. The train station and ski tracks are reachable by foot.

Great location, excellent beds and most of all I really appreciated the hotel sending me a face cream I forgot by post and didn't charge. Thanks once again!

A bit expensive for the room we got but it was also high season during the festive days.

The location is beautiful. The parking spot was right outside the hotel. The hotel had an elevator. They were nice to give me a late check out until 12.

The floor in the room was dirty, and the sink in the bathroom had limestone. It could have been cleaner. I had the room on the last floor next to a door where they were keeping bottles probably for the kitchen, so I was bothering the few times by the noise.

    7Bill &. C.Posted on: 10-18-2024

The room was a good size - although we opted for a deluxe room.

The restaurant and bar had very limited hours. We arrived on a Sunday and neither were open until Tuesday.

The staff was flexible (very much so:)The room was clean

The breakfast could have a bit more variety on offer

    10MarjoryPosted on: 7-23-2024

Breakfast was great, the staff were very helpful, and i liked the understated way in which the reception and dining areas were decorated. Reception also organised transfers to the station at a reasonable price.

Lovely, boutique-style little hotel along the main road, in easy reach of great restaurants as well as the train station. Wonderful, simple design of the rooms, with lots of wood. I stayed in a small double room, which was spacious enough for a few days and even featured a Nespresso coffee machine. Generally good attention to details and design (e.g., the elevator). The spa in the basement reflects the hotel's overall style: small, but beautifully designed (with columns, wooden floor, and white ceiling) and featuring everything that's needed (sauna, whirlpool, and steam room). Quiet and peaceful, overall.

The curtains don't fully cover the windows and don't block out the light (something that should be easy enough to fix!). In my room, there was also an issue with some of the lamps, which made a strange humming noise and suddenly turned on in the middle of one night.

Very comfortable, clean rooms, was nice to have a coffee machine in the room

    10MadalinaPosted on: 1-1-2024

Everything was perfect. big room, stunning views, also not very far from St.Moritz.Highly recommend this place. We will come for sure again there.

Breakfast could be a little bit various, but this is just a small problem.Would love to stay an extra day. :)
