- Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, nice amenit
- Cleanliness and location to attractions.
- Lobby and room were very elegant and cozy. Great location to stay when visiting glacier lagoon. Only 10min down the road from the main lagoon scenic spot and diamond beach. Wellness area was relaxing and enjoyed the hot tubs and sauna.
Cons -
- No microwave or fridge
- Nothing really. I just wish there was a complimentary breakfast for the price it costs per night.
- Hot tubs could have been higher temperature. Felt like a warm bath rather than a hot tub.

Everything was phenomenal. Amazing staff, amazing architecture, amazing rooms and facilities.
That I didnt stay longer
The view from the jacuzzi and sauna is superb. Like the decorations of the lobby and the public area. Offer free charging for ev cars.
Driving distance from Reykjavik.
Amazing location near many glacier adventures. Lovely staff. The property was gorgeous and well designed in every way.
We are Travel Advisors and stay at many different properties as research for Clients. Glacier Lagoon Hotel is well located in South East Iceland. Great location to attractions and outdoor activities. If you are searching for the Northern Lights this is a great spot. We loved this Hotel.
Liked everything
The unique farm theme, the upscale decor and furniture, the comfortable rooms.
Unfortunately, the bartender took advantage of our being newly arrived and not understanding the Icelandic kroner conversion… which resulted in us accidentally tipping him over $100 per person. The hotel front desk did present this problem to management and they did remove it from our bill promptly.
What I liked was everything. Let me be more specific. Driving down the road and seeing this hotel from a distance sparked our excitement and the surrounding mountains made it even more magical. The interior of the hotel is very well designed and has it's own charm but still reminds you that you're in Iceland and takes part of nature and incorporates it into the style of the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The ameneties from the Sauna, Hot Tubs, Gym, and relaxation room are perfect. I couldn't ask for more. They even had a crib ready for our baby when we entered our room. We will stay here again.
I didn't like that it had to end. A place this nice only makes you want to stay even longer. But in all honesty I liked everything about this hotel. This is one of the best hotels we've stayed at in Iceland.
This is the most beautiful hotel in Iceland . The weather can be bitter to get to area in winter but when you do get there is beautiful place !!the whole facilities are great spa to dinner, rooms are just gorgeous!!
I love it all just weather in region can be tricky little hazards to get there
The restaurant and accommodation was impeccable. Excellent food and service for the remote location
The size of the amenities seemed small. The sauna and hot tubs seemed always overcrowded for the size of the hotel
Location was great and had a bar and restaurant- nice common areas.
The hot tubs were beautiful but could be filtered more often. There were bits floating in the water which was unpleasant. Also towels etc left on stairs were not cleaned up quickly.
Our stay at Hótel Jökulsárlón was extremely relaxing. The view from our room of the lagoon with the mountains and glaciers in the background was stunning, as were the sunsets. The modern and minimalist decor, with a nod to the property’s former life as a farm with the owner’s father’s tractor and intermittent stalks of tall grasses, was a beautiful touch. We loved everything about our stay.
Nothing to do with the hotel itself, but with other guests who were definitely focused on being influencers. Several parties spent quite a bit of time doing extensive “photoshoots” in the sauna and hot tubs by the lagoon. Their actions were distracting and intrusive, in areas that were supposed to provide relaxation.
The property was clean and comfortable. The location is also incredible. Very close to glacier lagoon and diamond beach. I enjoyed the ice cave tour nearby as well. The hot tubs and sauna are clean and have spectacular views. We got to see the northern lights one of the evenings of our stay and it was a surreal experience.

Dinner was great, but breakfast was only buffet style, and the eggs and bacon were cold, and some of the pastries were stale and hard. Could've done better...
Lot of breakfast options. Dinner was very good. View were great. Sauna was great.
Hot tubs were not very warm.
Everything about this property is great - the views, the room and bathroom size, the facilities, etc. Extremely happy with my stay
Amazing place to stay. Close to Jokularlon. Most of the staff are friendly and professional.
One of the staff at the front desk keeps talking with other staff. Wait for a long time until they finished.
The resort was located right across from the Glacier and only minutes away from the tour companies servicing the area. They have 3 hot tubs so there's plenty of room for everyone. The restaurant was also excellent.
drive was beautiful from the city and close to our ice cave exploration. Hot tubs were a bonus with beautiful view. Food was expensive, but.good.
Rooms tiny and the water pressure and temperature could’ve been better
