The hotel has a very convenient location in the center of Belgrade, making it easy to get around the city. The in-room environment was excellent: comfortable microclimate, well-functioning temperature control, good lighting, and truly impressive soundproofing — we could not hear our neighbors at all. Occasionally, there was some noise from cars outside, but it was minimal and did not bother us, even though we were staying with children. Our room had a bathtub, which was quite long and comfortable. It was especially pleasant to use in the evenings during the winter stay. The corridors deserve a special mention: they were impeccably clean, elegant, and even felt somewhat luxurious — noticeably more impressive than the rooms themselves.
Despite the availability of a luggage trolley, we never saw it in use, and no assistance with luggage was offered upon arrival. Drinking water in the room was not replenished; at the reception we were told that tap water in Belgrade is drinkable, which may be true but is still not ideal for a hotel of this level.Breakfast selection was somewhat limited, but the quality was good. Everything was well presented, there was plenty of staff, and items were consistently replenished.
Good service, everything pretty and professional. Good breakfast, helpful staff, great location.
My room was far too small. I think I never stayed in such a small hotel room before. And no view. Except into a sad wall.
It was our second time here. The hotel is quite fancy and luxurious, with stylish decorations, and the furnishings are a piece of craftsmanship. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of meals offered. The hotel is clean and cosy.
My room had a window that faces a skylight and had no view at all, but the space was used really efficiently.
The staff, the cleanliness of the rooms, the location.
Could be a bit more variety in the breakfast.
Overall, a very nice hotel located in the city center. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are large and clean, and the whole place is quiet and very comfortable for a stay. The food is excellent, and the service is friendly and professional. My only complaint is that the Booking website says there is free parking, but in reality, the hotel has only four parking spots available for €25 per day if you’re lucky enough to book one. Otherwise, they recommend a nearby garage.
Great Location - Nice View - comfortable room - Delicious Breakfast - Nice Staff
The SHOWER was a nightmare because all the water flooded the bathroom— Terrible:(
It was very central. The room was nice and clean and the shower amazing. The breakfast was nice.
- The hotel allows smoking in the restaurant and breakfast area. It is a problem in all of Belgrade and really put a damper on my stay. Even though the lobby was no smoking it often smelled of cigarettes.- The gym is very small but pretty and opens only at 08:00 which is late if you want to get a workout in before breakfast.
same breakfast on all days, no vareity
the rooms on level 6 were not to my expectations and my problems were not attended to despite me bringing it to their notice 3 times ... the carpets were out right dirty ... dirty footprints all over ..
Location is near to center
I arrived at the hotel at 1:00 PM after a long and exhausting trip. I had a confirmed and prepaid reservation at this hotel.Upon arrival, I was informed that check-in time is at 3:00 PM, and I would have to wait two hours. They told me they would let me know if the room was ready earlier. I waited patiently in the lobby for the full two hours, but the room was still not ready. At 2:50 PM, I asked about the room status, and they said it would be ready in 10 minutes. However, just a few moments later, a large group of guests arrived, and all of them were checked in and given their rooms immediately, while I was still waiting.By 3:20 PM, I still hadn't received my room. When I went to the front desk again, the ask me to wait until the finish with the group, there was no apology or acknowledgment for the delay or the way the situation was handled. In addition, there was no staff available to help with luggage - you have to carry your own bags from the car to the hotel and to your room, which was very inconvenient after a long trip. The air conditioning in the rooms does not work, and when I had to open the window, insects entered the room, making the stay even more uncomfortable. We were also woken up early by the loud noise of the central vacuum system inside the room, which was extremely annoying and startling. The breakfast was poor and lacked variety, with very limited options to choose from. There is a hotel right across the street - Hotel Moskva - which is much better, and I highly recommend staying there instead. They also serve the famous Belgrade dessert "Moskva Šnit," which is definitely worth trying.Overall, it was a disappointing and unprofessional experience, and I would not recommend staying here, especially considering that my booking was already paid for in advance.
Good breakfast, good location
Was asked to pay a 100 euro deposit when I showed up at the hotel, additional to paying for the actual rooms. This was not clearly advertised before booking. Have yet to receive a refund of that deposit in spite of asking twice. Very questionable practice and could possibly be seen as dishonest. Will probably not be staying there again.
The facilities were very nice and the breakfast too. The location was superb! in the center of the city, walking distance to many city higlights
The room was bit too small, if you are travelling light it shouldn't be a problem I guess. I was with just a carry on luggagge and it barely fit into the room.
Great location. Nice interior. Good food and drink. The personnel are friendly and helpful. Very comfortable bed. Quiet and calmed in general.
No complement water. There was no coffee in the room — it will be great to provide at least a stick of coffee. Bath robes — nice to have for a better experience.
Location is good
AC isn’t cool enough for a suite room in which we suffered for couple of nights at 24 degrees centigrade
Location close to center, however street-facing room was loud.
Room strongly smelled like chemicals and my change of room request was denied, instead I was told to open the window in very hot weather into a busy street. Hotel was unable to accommodate laundry request and there is no self-laundry. No tissues or courtesy water in room. Towels were not clean, smelled of cigarette smoke from previous guests. Rooms are dated and items specified on hotel website such as luxury robes were not in room. Many uneven surfaces in dark hallways, you have to be very careful walking. Very small safe, can’t store electronics. Staff made me feel like I was imposing on them with my requests and management was unwilling to provide any modifications to my stay or credit. Property is way past its prime time and needs renovation.
Great hotel in the center of the city.Professional and helpful staff, great clean rooms and tasty breakfast.
We loved the ambiance, quality of sleep and privacy that the apartments provided! The stay at Hotel Balkan was fantastic from check-in to check-out! Highly recommend Hotel Balkan if you’re looking for a fantastic place to stay in the heart of the city! Hotel Balkan is steps away from from Knez Mihajlova and about 15 min walk to Karadjoedjeva fortress!
Lack of A/C and glad to have brought my own portable A|C unit otherwise it’s too warm for such a posh establishment!
