    Pros +

    • The views are magnificent — the beauty is truly breathtaking. The room has everything needed for a comfortable stay! You can tell that every detail has been carefully thought out. There’s also a grill on the property, and we had barbecues every evening. Just keep in mind that there are no large supermarkets nearby, and the small local shops usually close around 6–7 PM.
    • We loved the jam and bread and butter that were provided. The location and outdoor space.
    • Lovely cottage on a more peaceful, remote area of San Miguel island.

    Cons -

    • It would have been very useful to have found oil, salt and pepper and a cleaning product since people staying for a couple of nights won't buy them but would have helpedca lot to feel more at home.
    • It is not a matter of not liking it, but keep in mind that it's farther from the main points of interest and you need to drive at least half an hour to get to them. The closest and decent supermarket is by 5 km driving and also there aren't restaurants or cafés nearby in the morning.
    • Far from airport...bud if you want to be on calm place, it understandable :)

Lovely cottage on a more peaceful, remote area of San Miguel island.

The house has a great view and it’s in a quiet hill. Local bakery delivers a bag of freshly baked bread every morning. They also leave some complimentary local products in the fridge, too.

It was comfortable, spacious, quiet, clean, we were able to rest, we were not disturbed by noises, reasonable good Wi-Fi connection.

Perfect comunication, well prepared, everything was clean. A lot of space, huge terrace with a view on ocean. The ratio performance price is very good. Arrival is time independent, door has a password. You can cook here.25min far from Furnas.

Great quiet view with some great view points nearby! Good place to stay if you are renting a car on Sao Miguel! The kitchen had all you need and the accommodation was very clean. Make sure to buy your groceries in advance, so you don’t have to go back and forth but note that you get bread rolls in the morning ;)

Check in was easy, code system worked really well. Really nice to have the bread every morning and a couple of local foods (cheese and jams) in the fridge ready for us. Size was perfect for a couple. It is a really quiet and peaceful place. We really enjoyed the ocean view, although note that this is best enjoyed when the weather was warm enough to sit outside as there is only a window from the kitchen to see the view from inside.

Kitchen was not quite up to scratch for us - we like to cook a lot and a useable kitchen is a must when we are finding a place. It was missing a few key utensils and the 'oven' is a regular microwave with a grill setting. Bathroom and some of the unit (around doors/windows) was not quite as clean as expected. The hot water pressure was poor and took up to 5 minutes of running the tap to work.

Great location, very good amenities, the welcome gifts (fresh bread every morning, local products) were a very nice gesture. We had everything we needed in the house

First, communication with the owner, Sara, is excellent. She communicated every little thing needed to self-check in, including the surroundings. The house is amazing, well kept up to high standards, and very clean, especially the outside area. The patio and the garden are breathtaking. The location is great and includes a parking space, which is a plus. The fresh bread provided on the house by the owner every morning is such a kind gesture.

Location was good, parking available. Fresh bread every morning was a bonus. Very clean with all the amenities.

    No restaurants in the area.

Fantastic apartment for exploring the eastern part of the island. It's worth mentioning that it is located just 2 minutes away from one of the most beautiful viewpoints on São Miguel Island - Miradouro da Ponta do Sossego. So, you'll have the privilege of coming in the morning and having the park all to yourself. ?

We loved the arriving hospitality with Olivia greeting us to explain everything about the house and how to reach her if anything came up. The house was filled with local Azorean products to try like milk, tea, cheese, butter and jams. It also had fresh bread delivered every morning of our stay and we were there for six nights. One morning we set off the alarm because of our toast and the response was immediate to help us shut it off. They clearly have thought of everything including towels for the well-known thermal pools throughout the island. We loved the place and would definitely stay again and recommend the booking. Obrigada!

We loved this holiday home and would come back in a heartbeat! Excellent home, clean and neat with fantastic rooms, bedding, and finishings. Well stocked kitchen with the outdoor barbeque was exactly what we were looking for. The daily bread deliveries were much appreciated by an early riser who enjoys a quick bite with tea while watching the sun rise over the ocean. The house was nestled among other rental homes owned by the same agency, as well as a few others and provides perfect solitude. The hosts were super kind and welcoming, and very responsive to our questions and requests. The host met us at the house and gave us a full tour of the home and pointed out how to handle the security system. Location is lovely but best to have a car. We enjoyed the amazing coastal views and hikes in the area and enjoyed getting to some quieter parts of the island.

The security system... It gave us some problems. While we were warned that the alarm may go off, we certainly weren't expecting it to happen 20 minutes after the host left! While there were some instructions provided, it still took us quite some time to turn it off - the host was available to help quickly but we managed to get it on our own. Unfortunately there was a bad storm passing through that same night and a handful of on-and-off power outages continued to make the alarm go off. We don't hold this against the hosts, but it made for quite a rough first night! Kitchen could use some better supplies and sharper knives.

Quiet place with a wonderful view. The best sleep I had in the Azores! Although it was foggy, we had a beautiful view and it was close to many lovely sites. The warm bread in the morning was a nice touch.

The sofa fabric was totally stained. I didn't want to sit down on that fabric. Please replace that as soon as possible because it made me feel like the place was dirty even though it was spotless.

Convenient location for us. Bright and cheery. Loved the fresh bread!

The beds had hard mattresses which were not comfortable for me and my aging back. Fortunately there was extra bedding which I put under me to soften it a bit and enable sleep.

Stunning view, delivery of a fresh bread every morning for free, coffee/tea/butter available, option to use BBQ, and mainly quiet surrounding.

It’s an older house, you can feel/smell it ;-)

This accommodation is very small but extremely intelligently and efficiently done. It's very comfortable and convenient, a great location, with easy private parking and a lovely view. The manager was friendly, welcoming, and helpful.

We've discovered that many Azorean homes do not have screened windows. This lets in lots of bugs. There is very efficient use of space in this rental unit. However, the bathroom sink is actually too small to use to wash your face or brush your teeth without dripping all over the floor... and the shelf above it is in the way. Perhaps move that shelf? The kitchen faucet is poorly located, so the water barely runs into the sink, making it exceedingly difficult to wash anything. There is a delivery of several fresh rolls every morning. What a lovely gesture, but we felt guilty for not being able to eat more than 1 a day. Perhaps adjust the number of rolls to match the party size. No one likes to waste food.In spite of all this, we really liked the place!

Absolutely wonderful spot in the most eastern point of the island. It combines the tranquility of being at the country side with ocean view. We chose the smallest accommodation of all the available ones, and we were lucky to do so as this has by far the best view. Each apartment has a name, and ours was Casa da Vista. Spotless clean place, with probably the best bedroom we've ever had. We communicated in time our arrival, and were kindly expected by one of the owners, Olivia. Fresh bread is brought at the door daily, and in the fridge there was milk, cheese, butter and jam upon arrival. This way it was in fact a bed and breakfast, not only an apartment. Very appreciated!

The only caveat in this place is the bathroom: it is very damp, and the ventilation cannot keep up. Also, the tiniest of sinks with a shelf above made a banal teeth brushing almost impossible. I am sure neither the owners, nor the designers tried to do that there. There must be a better solution for this! Despite this, we would definitely go back when in Azores.
