Pros +
- Nice hotel and rooms. Friendly helpful staff and restaurant.
- Location was great. The breakfast we had was very good and the staff was excellent.
- The location was great. There is a good parking. Staff were very helpful especially Rafael in the reception. It is very nice of them to put cakes and fruits in the room. We loved that. There was gluten free bread in the dining room and we got more food without gluten.
Cons -
- Doesn't really have a spa or gym. Spa was down evidently and gym not really equiped. Location is ok as it is across street from harbor but views obstructed by trees. Breakfast adequate and free.
- We enjoyed pretty much everything. Just the mattress was a little bit hard for us so it was a little bit uncomfortable after a few days. Also there needs to be a fan in the washroom that works stronger than what is there now
- There was a problem in the bath at night they could fix it the day after. We insisted to move to another room.

Comfortable, plenty of area to hang out with friends.
Could use a second coffee machine as lines were long. Also, as a te drinker an urn of hot water would have saved time.
it was clean, the hotel staff is incredible, free parking was included underground below the hotel, which was great, the views were awesome. Wish we could've stayed longer.
there isn't anything we didn't like about the property. It was absolutely beautiful.
Excellent location in Faial. Free underground parking. Helpful staff.
Bad odor in bathroom. Probably from the bathtub curtain
A comfortable hotel on the harbour with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was great. It's worth the extra cost to have a view overlooking the boat harbour. You are centrally located for the town and harbour exploration.
Good location
We had requested a double bed as a couple three months before arriving and told upon arriving that this was not available. The staff “upgraded” us to a room that supposedly had a view but not really. They were kind in trying to remedy it but the hotel policy is not good. It is also an old hotel.
Breakfast was plentiful
The room was not as soundproof as I would have liked, and the Wifi in the room was poor. We were in the very back of the hotel, so maybe it was a dead spot.
the reception staff was very friendly and helpful
For a 4 star was disappointing to see showers with curtains, but what was more odd was that it was not possible to charge electronics if the lights are off, cause once you switch off the light also the plugs stop providing energy.
location and view from the window
everything is old and unkempt
Central and easy. Great staff
Modern thus little soul
Great location, very good breakfast, parking.
From check-in to check-out everything went well for our stay. The staff was very friendly and addressed any issue we had very quickly (safe in room was finicky). The rooms are spacious and so comfortable. Ours had a harbor/ocean view. The beds are comfortable and luxurious. The bathrooms are roomy. (in our accommodation we had 1.5 bathrooms!). The buffet breakfast in the morning is enormous and delicious. All types of breakfast food.
Great location overlooking the marina in Horta. Huge, delicious breakfast. Easy walk to great restaurants.
We loved our three day stay here. Very professional and friendly staff with a delicious breakfast buffet. The view from our window overlooking the marina and the mountain on the Island of Pico was stunning. Appreciated the underground parking and easy access. Loved the first floor lounge allowing a quiet and comfortable location to read in the early morning so as not to disturb my sleeping wife. Beautiful sunrise there. Location was ideal for hiking to the beach and enjoying the local restaurants.
Nothing. Top notch experience
Exceptional location and worth upgrading to Pico view
No hot water second night, staff were notified but didn’t seem concerned and didn’t compensate for the inconvenience. Rooms are in need of an upgrade.Breakfast buffet was mediocre and lacked choices.
Basically downtown - walking distance to bars and restaurants. Free parking
Clean and in a great location
We paid for an upgraded room with a view of Pico; however, there was a large tree obstructing our view of Pico completely. I understand the weather can block the view; however, it was blocked by a tree and this was not noted in the description of the room. It was incredibly disappointing that we paid the extra money for a nicer view (the only reason we stayed in this specific hotel) and couldn’t see the mountain. We tried to speak with the hotel front desk staff member about getting a different room and we were told it was the only room available. This was very interesting as we stayed here during the low season and saw less than 10 other guests during our stay.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was ok, not quite at the center, but close enough, especially in such a small town. Breakfast was decent, had lots of choices. I did not pay extra for a room with a view of Pico, and I'm glad I didn't because it was overcast the whole time and you couldn't see it anyway. And really, if it's visible, you'll see it when you go outside.
The bed was a bit firm for me, but if you like firm beds, it might be ok. Mostly the hotel seemed like it really needs a facelift. The decor and furnishings seemed like decades old.
