    Pros +

    • Great location! Our room faced the beach and promenade. Excellent breakfasts with some of the best omelettes we ever had! Downtown as well. Older hotel but very well maintained. Overall, super experience.
    • Breakfast was very fulfilling, staff were kind and supportive when asked for local directions (e.g. how to reach local destinations by bus). The double room was great.
    • Excellent breakfast and location and sauna under the tower roof.

    Cons -

    • The parking garage is extremely tight and can only accommodate small cars. But, we were warned of that before our arrival and our VW Golf fit well.
    • The bed was not the most comfortable. The double room could have had a waterfront view. We wanted to use the spa but it was only open 2 pm - 8 pm and there was no clue from the front desk about booking a massage the next day. At the end we did not use the spa.
    • Some areas (like breakfast area) were only accessible by taking the elevator or surrounding the building outside.

    8AndréPosted on: 8-9-2024

The location, the breakfast and of course the lovely staff

There was no ac or a fridge in the room

Location is very good. Garage parking little tricky. Very narrow when parking a big car.

Wall to wall carpet in room

Awesome Breakfast. Big room and perfect location.

It was not so clear for me even after talking to the staff, how much would be the extra costs of the parking and daily taxes. Probably also my fault of not reading deeper about it.

Location is good - view to the bay. But the hotel did not think of providing binoculars or another mean of observation boats and harbors around.

Hidden commissions: 20 EUR for some local tax +15 EUR for parking

Breakfast has a lot of choice of salad and fruits.Bread and pancakes were delicious!!

    9MarioPosted on: 3-1-2024

The breakfast was over all very good a nice variety of bread and jams, although more vegan options could be offered. For example, you need to ask for plant based milk, but the staff is very friendly and will always try to help you.

The stench of burned cigars and cigaretts was noticable in the building, when the saloon was used and after it, when they left it open to ventilate.

Excellent location, super breakfast and very nice staff.

Perfect for beach and close to town

    No air conditioning

This hotel is on the beach promenade, almost on the beach. Very nice stuff, very quick check-in and check-out. Luggage room if you need. Very good breakfast. Thank you for all.

    9GrzegorzPosted on: 7-5-2023

    - Location - very close to the beach and right in the city centre.- Spacious rooms.- Nice breakfast.- Helpfull staff.

    - Rooms are a bit old fashioned and need renovation.

Breakfast was great. Staff was very responsiveThe room was small but there was a bonus room with bunkbeds which provided ample storage

Although the hotel was a no smoking facility, the room reeked of stale smoke. I mentioned it to staff. The underground garage is a robot and bit tight. If several people arrive at once, there will be a delay.

    nice location

I am writing to express my concern about the language proficiency of the hotel staff during my recent stay at Strandhotel Binz.I encountered significant difficulties due to the lack of English-speaking staff members, especially at the front desk. The inability to communicate effectively with the hotel staff hindered my overall experience and caused unnecessary inconvenience. Upon check-in, I had difficulty conveying my room preferences and confirming the reservation details due to the limited English proficiency of the front desk staff. On a couple of occasions, I asked the reception for assistance with local directions and recommendations. They didn’t recommend much and unfortunately, the language barrier made it extremely challenging to convey my requirements and understand their suggestions.During breakfast at the hotel restaurant, I struggled to communicate my dietary restrictions to the waitstaff.Effective communication is a vital aspect of the hospitality industry, and it can significantly impact a guest's overall satisfaction with their stay. The hotel should inform its customers about the language problem before booking.

Fantastic location on the promenade just 50 metres from the beach, and it was worth paying more for a room with the sea view. Breakfasts were superb, and the restaurant served delicious fish dishes. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed there for a week and were genuinely sorry to leave.

There could be a fridge in the room. Other than that, everyting was perfect.

Pros: near beach, but unclean rooms.

Black mould in shower: bit rank.Very misleading room facilities and a shower room which overflooded into our bedroom.

    10LucaPosted on: 5-23-2022

Surprisingly large room with a very comfortable bed, a nice spa with saunas and a relax area, and especially the staff is great!
