Kastello Hotel

Beautiful, clean, well-equipped room in a lovely older building. Excellent location, close to the various attractions and restaurants in town. Proprietor was helpful and very responsive. I was wary about the off-site parking, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the large lot and easy access. I was also skeptical about the off-site breakfast, but it was excellent--and we enjoyed the walk each morning. If we return to Nafplio someday, we would definitely stay at Kastello again.

Not fun carrying our suitcases up three flights of stairs; however, this was advertised very clearly, so I really can't complain. The room was not as quiet as we would have liked, but not bad for a place in the downtown area. (We arrived on a Friday, the evening prior to a big triathlon event, so the traffic was CRAZY, and the downtown area was very loud until late at night.) Nonetheless, Kastello is located a few blocks away from the heart of the downtown area, so it was quieter than a lot of other downtown hotels would have been.

It was very clean, comfortable and although being a σοφίτα (attic) it had a lot of room and the balcony was beautiful and had great views

We don’t mind it but it is difficult to climb so many stairs.

Great room, beautifully decorated, spotless and in a great location. The surroundings, the squares, everything in the old town is amazing. Extra plus the delicious breakfast in the heart of the old town. And last but never least, exceptional staff! Kind and friendly, great professionals.

Great location. Easy stroll to shops and restaurants. Excellent breakfast served in a cafe about 300m from the hotel.

Nothing to not like. Possibly be aware like lots of boutique hotels in Europe it’s an old building with steep stairs and no lift access.

The room was extremely exciting. Near center of old city.

I forgot a packet with macarons in the fridge. After 15 minutes, I called them, Anda they answered macarons were in the garbage. But they offer to pay for the sweets. So all were fantastic ?.

We stayed in the top floor castle view room and the terrace with view of the castle and hills was really lovely. Bed was comfortable. Easy to find parking nearby and also close to many shops and restaurants. Staff were welcoming and helpful.

This wasn't a problem for us, but the rooms are all up quite a few stairs, so be aware if there are any mobility issues.

Excellent hotel at the outskirts of old town. Friendly staff and well equiped rooms with all amenities! We booked a standard room for our wedding and the staff offered us the suite without charge when they found out is was our wedding. We did not ask, we did not beg, we just asked for a late checkout to have some time to get ready and they not only obliged but offered us the suite!Thank you for making our wedding unforgettable!

Thin curtains, eye covers needed to sleep past sunrise. Stairs (third floor). Off site included breakfast was large but inflexible, best to buy what you want. Saturday night (Sunday morning) noisy outside.

The rooms were charming and well-furnished, and the bed was quite comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating, which added to the overall experience.

Beware as there is no elevator. Windy stairs are difficult with large suitcases. The location on a busy intersection made it noisy, especially early in the morning with buses beeping from the nearby station and the local taxi rank. Additionally, the bathroom felt a bit dated. While it has potential, the noise and bathroom could use some improvement for a more restful stay. Although I appreciate there is not a lot to be done about the noise!

Loved the location in regard to its centrality to all Nafplio sights, restaurants, and stores, plus a large grocery store. Spacious comfortable room with ample clothing storage and a desk for working. Staff were lovely.

Location is adjacent to a school yard where the boisterous sounds of children playing can be excessively loud when school is in session. Windows helped to dim the noise. Bathroom is a bit outdated. A nicer shower system would have been appreciated.

The location was excellent being on the edge of the old town. It was quiet at night and the deck provided a lovely morning view. The staff were very friendly and available to help.

The room has a fridge, but it doesn't make things cold. There was no microwave. The pillows were not comfortable, at all. We had an issue with the hot water, but l believe it was repaired. There were also 54 stairs to the room/

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was beautifully decorated and with a location very close to the centre of Nafplio but also just enough on the outer perimeter to be peaceful at night. The breakfast is arranged at a nearby cafe in the central square of Nafplio and both the location an the quality/variety of the breakfast was exceptional.

The bathroom was a little tight for room and the sound insulation between the rooms up and down was not that great however, when you are staying in an older property this is to be expected and comes with the originality.

Very good location, nice and big room.

No elevator.For hot water you need to turn on the heater manually

Comfortable room with respective amenities, very central location, easy access, and close to services and locations of interest

Very close to the central bus station, therefore the noise from the busses was an issue especially early in the morning.
