Grande Bretagne - Nafplio

The staff were very lovely.

The decor was rather outdated. They perfume the hotel with a strong musky scent that I found overbearing.

This is a grand old building with a beautiful room. These staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the room is very comfortable, and of course it’s right in the centre of everything. If you like grand old hotel hotels, this is the place to stay.

The hotel was clean, the staff extremely kind and helpful and the facilities were everything we expected them to be. Moreover, the breakfast was plentiful and very tasty.

1 tiny thing. The bed mattress was too soft which made it kind of uncomfortable the second day.

Beautiful hotel, perfect location. Excellent breakfast, courteous staff. A bit more expensive but as they say you get what you pay for!

Parking can be an issue, we had luck finding a spot at the limani but if a very busy time of year, might be challenging.

The hotel is Ostentatious., its designed is aristocracy, I think. The furniture in the room is full wood, not a regular thing to encounter. The breakfast was great and we even enjoyed eating there dinner. It was a great hotel to leave...

The parking is free but can be far. It is not a issue when you understand that you are at the center of things..

The location was central in front of the port, which gives you easy access to the free public parking available 100 m. from the hotel. The breakfast was great with a lot of options. The room has a balcony with a nice view of the port.

Old-style property with great air conditioning. Somewhat tired-looking, but kept very clean. No swimming pool.

We loved everything about this hotel. We stayed 3 nights. It has classic charm! Everyone at the desk was kind and helpful. The cleaning staff were friendly. We had 3 wonderful breakfasts! We enjoyed the small balcony off our room where we could watch the harbor and the many people enjoying the town of Nafplio.

We have no complaints at all.

too noisy - couldn’t sleep because we could hear everything. The steps and voices from everywhere. No noise insulation. The bathroom was smelly.

The staff was fabulous especially Thanos. He was very attentive and made great suggestions on food.and beverage options. He made our stay quite memorable. He is creative and conscientious.

Our room temp was 26c when we arrived and there was no cooling system available. Open windows helped but only a breezy night got the temp down to sleep.

Old floors creaking continuously, disappointing bed mattress hard and immovable, nothing in the fridge, at the door quote higher than booking,com quote !

We were excited to stay at a Grand Bretagne location, the view from our view of the port was gorgeous and the complimentary breakfast was absolutely incredible.

The room felt a bit old and dated, there was no shower head it was just a handheld one and there wasn’t a plug to take a bath even though the tub was really nice. The worst was that because you’re on the coast (which was gorgeous!!) if a yacht decides to throw a rager on the water you are not going to be able to get any rest at all: when I called reception asking for a quieter room because it was just insanely loud I was met with indifference, and when the call dropped they never called me back. It wasn’t the service I was expecting at a place like this, so a bit disappointed. We decided to stay elsewhere in Nafplio afterwards.

There was nothing I didn’t like about my stay

Central Location can't be beaten. Breakfast superb selection. Staff a delight and helpful. Room allocated was huge (in the roof space). Large bathroom with all expected facilities (small items noted below). Comfortable large bed. Excellent A/C (needed). Despite being in the centre/port area the hotel room was very quiet.

Level of lighting was low especially in bathroom. Also a Shower fixing higher would be advantageous (this may be only the room we occupied)

Room that was assigned to us was in the attic ,so someone who is not used to sleeping the the attic might find it difficult to sleep well.
