Royal Obidos Scenic Resort

All the amenities were good, indoor pool large and well maintained (water temp could be warmer). Stayed at the 2 bedroom, nice and spacious, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, large bathroom. Indoor parking included, subject to availability. Good food and staff nice and welcoming.

They did not ask upon check-in if we wanted to open credit to be able to sign checks to the room bill. Only found out after having dinner at the bar and were told had to pay on the spot.

The inside pool was amazing , sauna too ..The view wasn’t bad , the garage for free it was a plus .

First of all , it wasn’t the cleanest , remote control from the TV was dirty , the balcony wasn’t clean , with lots of mosquitos . Not a good image for a 5 stars hotel. And one of the plugs wasn’t working.

Location was so remote, and there wasn’t enough coffee in the rooms to meet the number of guests and nights of stay between servicing. No robes or slippers offered.

We really enjoyed the stay here. The facilities were great. They have an outdoor pool, indoor pool, turkish bath and other spa facilities. The room is large with everything needed and with a fantastic view to the seafront.For golfers many golf courses are in the neighborhood. Staff is also very friendly. I’ll definitely come back here.

The apartments are quite spacious. Everything was clean. Nice outdoor and indoor swimming pools. Staff was nice. Food at the bar and restaurant was good and affordable.

The beds were a bit soft. Other than that, nothing to point out.

The staff was very polite and willing to help.

The maintenance of facilities is not good. We had water stuck at one of the sinks and into the shower. The shower was not fixed even after our complaining.The breakfast place was very far from the room. We had to go first to the parking and then drive a couple of minutes to the dining room which was into the golf club.

Breakfast very good. Pool very good. Room spacious and comfortable. Praia do Rei Cortiço, beautiful.

Time for kids in the indoor pool is very limited.

Turkish sauna doesn’t work, pretty expensive paddle court per person and rent staff.

Clean, stylish and friendly

External lighting to access property needed replacement lights and upper floor lighting didn’t work at all. Ants accessing bathroom of 1st floor property was a little concerning. No slippers or dressing gowns were provided, in the apartment whereas they are in the hotel rooms. Underground Car Parking ensured your vehicle was safe and secure. Taking Breakfast in the Golf Clubhouse and not in the hotel restaurant was unexpected. Especially during inclement weather conditions. Ocean Views were terrific, apartments were well equipped and spacious. Beds were very comfortable and air conditioning very effective. In the past we have stayed in the hotel where more luxuries are available.

The hotel and its facilities are superb. We loved our spacious bedroom, which had huge windows. The spa is a great addition, perfect for some relaxation. The location is lovely, set in the hills near the golf course and the sea, surrounded mostly by nature.

We chose a double bed, but it was actually two mattresses pushed together to make a bigger one. There was a sort of cover on top of the mattresses, which we found not very comfortable.

There are many things that needs to be improved:1. Towels not available in the SPA area2. Staff: emphatic, but less experience3. Breakfast: disappointing - facility itself and food variety4. Charging for electrical cars: 2 inside inside parking area with difficult access and never available. 2 ouside but not working5. Parking: small, too tight and always full. During rainy days, very difficult to come over from the villas to the pool6. Room with ants, cleaning was not sufficientFor a 5 star hotel, I was expecting a lot more.Thanks

Great facilities with access to the indoor pool and sauna included. The rooms are great, what you are expecting for a 5 start hotel. Good and diverse breakfast as well. The options to dine in at the bar was very conveniente as well and more affordable

There isn’t much control on the pool’s policies such as seeing kids after the hour recommended for their use and no one’s really using a swim cap. But nothing major to add

Some cleaning & maintenance issues reported to (Staff &) manager. Hopefully it helps (no reaction yet).

Breakfast + pool + sauna and the big apartment!! fantastic!

There was a private event that was only informed 2 or 3 weeks before the check in (I made the resrvation before christmas!), and the hotel was basically just for the evemt. There were lots of areas that were blocked for us. The main reception and hall, breakfast and meals and outside swimming pool areas were "blocked" for us. we felt like "outsiders".If I knew this before hand, I would have cancelled the rservation and pushed it for another time!On the other hand, I asked for late check-out and they granted us this, wich was very nice !

We enjoyed the appartment (large, comfortable and well designed), the overall environment of the resort (in the middle of the trees, with a slope that provides excellent views) and the breakfast (diverse and with good quality products). The SPA and interior pool are also excellent and with very good staff (nice and helpful).

We booked the weekend without realizing that the resort included a hotel and some villas. We arrived Friday night and everything seemed normal in the hotel, but Saturday and Sunday there was an "exclusive" event at the hotel that closed it to the other guests. We were surprised with this and were not allowed to use the public areas of the main hotel (including the swimming pools and the restaurant). Also, we asked before going if we should book the SPA before arriving but were told that would not be a problem. But when we arrived, the SPA for Saturday was already fully booked. We could only use it on Sunday at checkout time, which forced us to change our plans for the day. Net, this is a lovely place to enjoy and rest, but overall we did not feel very valued as guests (compared to the event participants).

Everything! Gorgeous location, fantastic facilities and the people that work there are so friendly and helpful. We had a great time and were sad to leave, will definitely return.

Minor detail, the pillows weren’t the best but it did not spoil our visit.
