Hotel Vila D'Óbidos

rate was good/appropriate. We loved touring the Obidos walled city. Advice from the staff was excellent and they were friendly, warm and helpful.

Noticed there was not coffee available in the room.

Clean.

Beds are not very comfortable. Hard to find the location. Address does not bring you to the right place.

The location isn't bad..The staff were very nice ? There was a cute black cat named Baltazar, I was enchanted with him.The bed was very comfortable.We will definitely come back, it was a good experience

The hotel itself was nice. GPS brings you to an abandoned building. That’s only used for weddings or social functions. They should tell you that on your paperwork we really thought there was no hotel. The problem we had was that the broom had flies. I personally flushed at least 20 flies. It was horrible. we had a problem with the air conditioner, and the young lady at the front desk tried to help and eventually we worked it out, but it was a problem.

Hot water was accidentally turned off but the staff addressed it quickly.

The staff was great, super friendly and always helpful. The spa facilities were also great, the breakfast was super. The cat Baltazar is the star of the show and deserves +1 more star (the staff that support him also). It was clean. The bar lounge was also great.

The matress, we can feel the metal springs through. And the room could use some renovation work (walls near the bath, silicone redone, curtains and some lampshades had rust.

Hard to access without a car but you can walk here from Óbidos which is worth visiting!

Pool was great. The facilities are beautiful.

Staff was unfriendly, or at least one of the staff we interacted with during our stay. It was perhaps a communication barrier, but we didn't get a great vibe of friendliness during our check in or when we asked for towels for the pool. The morning that we checked out from the hotel, the guy working during the morning was extremely friendly and helpful.

Some staff came across as rude at reception. Rooms very basic for price.

Defective provisions in the room. Such as... No drinking water. No cups/ glasses. No kettle for boiling water. Only 2 paper cups in the toilet for brushing.

There were a lot of flys in the room when we opened the window for air. It would be good to put screens on the windows since it is in the countryside.

The staff was good. Convenient location: the hotel is located outside of historical center of Odibus, but only 5 minutes to drive.

The room is not big. The bathroom does not have shelf for personal items like shaving tools, parfums.

Great View of Castelo de Óbidos. Although you couldn't see it from my room, my room's window directly faced the pool and you could see the bar from it.

low occupancy so low staff levels food service was therefore limited, but bar food was tasty from small menu. Nice staff, breakfast was good quality.
