    Pros +

    • Decorarion, location, kitchen and common spaces. Very warm and confortable. 5 adults and 5 kids enjoyed 2 night stay during Obidos Vila Natal
    • Very comfortable beds, unique rooms in a heritage property, lovely pool, perfect location.
    • Very comfortable rooms in a great location

    Cons -

    • We enjoyed evwrything. Pedestrian access not easy for elderly but those lanes are Obidos beauty!
    • They were short staffed so we could only check in at 5:30pm. Since we were only staying one night, it limited our enjoyment of the hotel. Also, we didn’t get proper instructions on how to find the property, so that wasn’t ideal.
    • Check in was in another spot

Clean, quiet, location, kitchen facilities, pool and sitting areas.

No parking nearby, have to haul your bags up into the walled village.

Very cute room in medieval style located at the very center of the cute village of Obidos. Very comfortable bed, big room and lots of space for luggage.

The property it self was nice and clean, pretty basic. It was really raining and the water got in the room.

We arrived Obidos around 18:30 and spent around an hour and a half looking for the place because we were supposed to get arriving instruction on email and the hotel didn’t send it. When we finally found the place we couldn’t get in and they told us to get to another place to do the check in. When we got there the receptionist gave us the feeling that it was our fault that we didn’t arrive to the right place. At that point we were exhausted and almost didn’t find an open place to eat dinner because it took so long. Other than that it was raining and the water got in to the room and there was no answer at the reception. The hospitality was not welcoming and very disappointing.

Great place in the center of Obidos . Quiet and had a nice atmosphaer.

A beautifully renovated building in the centre of town but tucked away from the main walkways. Our room was large and comfortable. The pool area was lovely.

The location is great. Within the castle walls. The pool was pretty. The air conditioning worked.

Buyer beware: total tourist trap. This felt like an example of a hotel misrepresenting itself and its rooms through well crafted photos. Totally overpriced considering the much better rooms available for less money literally two doors down. The room was small, dark, dingy, and dirty. The bed was two very small twins shoved together and made up separately and very uncomfortable. The bathroom was the same - dark, dingy, and the floor was dirty. No amenities in the room - not even a bottle of water. One small window that barely let in any light, and it was next to the pool so it was loud with the sound of pool activities. Nowhere to sit, four wire hangers for clothes. Just a dark, small room with a small, uncomfortable bed. It was so uncomfortable I immediately booked a different room at another place down the road, but they were unwilling to offer a refund and didn't even both to respond to my message. That seems fitting because the check-in and reception experience was disappointing as well. The young man was rude and impatient with me and another guest and generally seemed unhelpful and unfriendly.

    Great location

Room facilities were very basic - no desk, no chair, no clothes hanging space other than 4 hooks on a entrance/coat stand.

Wonderful central location... within village wall and near the castle. Very clean and midern inside beautiful old building.

All great... but just off main walkway so a small bit of noise here and there. Not bad.

Cute decor Quiet and calm Great location

Very nice casa. Comfortable bed. Nice communal kitchen / dining area. Staff very helpful.

The frosted glass screen to the bathroom will certainly not be to everyone's taste. The swimming pool was not available for use, this should have been made more clear. There was an excessive smell of disinfectant. The windows would not open. Noise from the next door rooms bathroom.

    Location

Issues with WC ,changing reservation twice without warning , request not taken for a couple size bed instead two single beds.

Location, walkable to restaurants, bars, shops within the walled city area.Clean comfortable beds and pillows. Communal kitchen with coffee, tea, etc.Very quiet and peaceful. Staying overnight allowed walking around the village without crowds before daytrippers arrived in the morning.

Check in is at another hotel at the other end of village which may cause issues if carrying a lot of luggage, particularly as parking is outside the wall. Travel lightly.

Very well kept property. Very clean thru out. Kitchen a bit small but dining room very adequate. Sitting areas well decorated and pleasant. At the price we paid, would stay again. The two young men at the front desk at the Posada where we checked in were very helpful.

Location is very difficult to get to. We were not expecting to have to walk with suitcases such a long distance uphill. There needs to be some kind of service to help with luggage. Because parking was so far from the property, we took the bare necessities and left the rest in our car. Unfortunately, our car was broken into that night and several things stolen. Not sure if that happened to just us that night. I e-mailed the property in the morning but never received a reply.

The room is big enough with good quality bedding

Very hard to find the place! Better not carrying luggage since Óbidos is so steep Check in place is not in the hotel, need to walk 3-4mins to another place for check inThe swimming pool is full of bugs on the pool, totally cannot use it

Óbidos is a magnificent medieval city, and when you wake up in the morning in Casa Lidador, you open your window and you have the whole city in front of you, is a unique and amazing view. That view alone is worth the price of the room. The room was huge, super clean and filled with a pleasant perfume. The position is perfect, in the middle of the old town inside the city walls. Exiting Casa Lidador, if you walk 5 minutes to the right you reach one end of the city walls, and if you walk 5 minutes to the left you reach the other end. The welcoming is done inside another structure that is 5 minutes from Casa Lidador, and everyone has been extremely kind and available to answer all of our questions about the city. There is also a pool, but we didn't use it.There is a free parking lot behind the Pastelaria Arcus, which is a 10 minutes walk from Casa Lidador.

I don't think there's something that I didn't like about Casa Lidador. Probably the fact that there is no elevator could be a downside, but there are at most two flights of stairs, so it's not that bad.
