    Pros +

    • Our stay in Óbidos was good. The apartment comfortable and cozy. Medieval decoration on the room, to keep the same environment as on streets, the bathroom cleaned and enough. The staff very friendly and ready to help us.We really enjoy stay at this place. Really recommend this place.
    • Location excellent Breakfast was very good. Staff excellent
    • The included breakfast is always well-rounded, and the rooms are well-kept. We love staying here because it's close to the castle and an excellent price point.

    Cons -

    • Improvement breakfast. The table was not clean and lots of fly. The food was good and with quality, only the mosquitos and improve the table clean.
    • The toilet smell was awful
    • That there was a festival going on and as a traveler I was unaware of it causing it to be very difficult to find the hotel in the crowd.

The lady at the front desk, the old building.

Located right on the main street that leads up to the festival area around the castle, this hotel has a lot of charm with its beautifully decorated rooms and painted walls.

Breakfast in a very warm room could have been so much better with small improvements, like placing cold cuts and dairy products in the fridge.

Amazing location within the walls of the medieval town Óbidos.

We found it difficult to get the heat out of the room even with the mobile a/c unit.

Location, cleanliness, glentleness of the employees.

    The AC noise

    The location

Everything else! Air conditioner didn't run, kept losing electricity, breakfast bread was completely moldy

    6KelliPosted on: 6-17-2025

The location and decor was wonderful. The beds were spartan but comfortable and very clean. They offered breakfast and the hotel is right on the historic street inside the walled city.

The air conditioning was broken in multiple rooms and the lighting was dim.

Perfect location in the middle of historic Obidos

Not working elevator. Horrible smell in the bathroom.

    8MichaelPosted on: 4-21-2025

Breakfast good choices, location excellent with window opening out onto views of the street and castle. Staff helpful

The access to the bath and shower required moving a hinged large glass screen - fear of damaging it! One bedside lamp did not work

    8AnaPosted on: 4-15-2025

location, staff, room was well presented, unique styling, feel of botel

elevator was out of order - travelling with elderly mother and stairs, shower was needing repairs.

Location and setting in heart of the walled town

Lack of communication about distance from parking to hotel, especially with heavy luggage. Compounded by us arriving in middle of a major festival: again proactive communication would have been appreciated.. Fairly basic tkreakfast. Limited staff visibility until third day

Elevators not working. Breakfast was very bad. Bathroom’s tub very small hard to take a shower.

Excellent location, right in the historic center, inside the town walls. Plenty of free parking (we were there in the low season) just outside the town walls. Staff always helpful, very good breakfast included.

Great location, helpful friendly staff on arrival and throughout my stay. Clean, safe and quiet, historical hotel.

Super central, which also meant you had to walk 10 min from street parking with your luggage, but it was worth it. Clean and comfortable.

Location: The property’s central location in the village was excellent, making it easy to get around on foot, even with a baby in tow.Breakfast: They allowed us to pick up our breakfast to our room, which was very convenient.

The room was in poor condition. It was located on the second floor with no functioning elevator. All the towels were damp, and there was hair in several places, including the bed and the bathroom. Some of the lights were broken and couldn’t be turned on or off.The breakfast was very basic: just bread, ham, cheese, yogurt, apples or oranges, and a few other items. The orange juice was not fresh. We requested a cot for our newborn baby, and they initially agreed. However, when we arrived, they informed us it wasn’t available because it had broken the previous night. Also, the elevator was out of service (and apparently had been for quite some time), which they failed to mention beforehand. Being on the second floor without an elevator is extremely inconvenient when traveling with a newborn, especially given the hotel listing states “Upper floors accessible by elevator.”Although the hotel claims to be three stars, it is severely neglected and poorly maintained. It shouldn’t be rated more than one star. Overall, it was a really bad experience for a supposed three-star hotel.

Fantastic location, comfortable room that looked very clean. The breakfast was decent as well. They give you a code to go back in after the doors are closed at 23.

We thought there would be a parking spot or at least they would tell us where we could park. We almost got towed parking on the road that runs along the wall.
