No air conditioning. Hot. Hard to find staff

The fan in the bathroom is making a lot of noise. That is acceptable.... Till it turns on automatically at 2am waking us up... Then again at 6am.

The breakfast was good, with lots of variety.

Unable to check in before 1500 as lobby is closed.

Wonderful location with great facilities and staff. Fantastic breakfast buffet as well.

The updated modern room in the heart of medieval town. I stayed for a week and felt at home there. It is located next to the Ruthaus which is the center of the town. The breakfast is nicely arranged and generous. It has all modern facilities like elevator, automatic lights, card lock door (both hotel door and room-doors), etc. Staff are super nice, both font and restaurant.

Almost nothing, but it could be better to have coffee earlier than breakfast which starts at 8 am. There is a working desk but that corner has no lights, it could be better with a lamp.

This was supposed to be a convenient halfway stop on our journey back home. I had no idea how beautiful the Rhine Valley is, so this was a great surprise. The hotel was great, with very friendly staff and comfortable rooms. It's located in a quaint German village along the Rhine River, dotted with stunning castles and vineyards everywhere one looks.

Having to pay for parking

Stayed here for a short break and all I can say is ‘wow’! Wonderful hotel in the center of Oberwesel. Rooms are very clean, have been refurbished recently and have a spacious, modern bathroom. Also great to be able to park the car safely in the underground parking.Breakfast is fantastic! We especially enjoyed the home-made yoghurt and fresh fruit salad :-)A big thank you to Andreas Ludwig (owner/manager), who excels in customer service. Never met someone who understands the true meaning of hospitality so well.We also had dinner at the restaurant twice and must say that we enjoyed the traditional dishes very much. The staff at the restaurant is friendly and hard-working. We especially want to thank Victoria, who managed to anticipate our every need.

Great location and clean. In house restaurant was good. Staff were really friendly. Had a great conversation with the bar staff one night.

The hot water did not work until the morning of my last day there

Good breakfast. Very friendly staff.Travelled to Germany many many times and it remains the same, high standards and cleanliness.

Nothing to dislike

Lovely room with a good size bathroom, Staff very friendly & accommodating and great breakfast. Great location in beautiful Oberwesel. Highly recommend this Hotel.

The room would benefit from airconditioning, especially since the location does not really allow you to open a window (street noice; cars/train).

The room was more than adequate. Large, comfortable bed, large bathroom and nothing to fault. Pre booked car parking was a bonus as might be difficult to park in the town otherwise. The restaurant was convenient and the food good and reasonably priced.

We stayed one night and it was as described. Lovely helpful staff and comfortable room. Really interesting bathroom tap, I liked it! Breakfast was plentiful and with good variety. Restaurant was also good. Nice facilities.

The pillows, I think they are standard for Germany perhaps.

This hotel is a great place to spend a night or longer . Front desk was one of the friendliest most helpful young men we have encountered in our 1,000’s of miles of bike journeys across Europe . Excellent location along the Rhein River bicycle trail in Oberwesel .The hotel has excellent secure bike storage in the garage . Elevator to upstairs rooms . Room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Very clean bathroom On-site restaurant was very good with many choices and reasonable price point . Breakfast was very good with hot and cold food choices .

Truly wish we could have stayed longer .

We are world cyclists and originally, we were planning to stay for one night at ‘Das Wesel Hotel’. I experienced a bad cold by the time we arrived at the property, we extended our stay for one more night so I had some recovery time. The help we experienced from Bao, Andreas and the rest of the staff was going well beyond expectations! They were very supportive of the situation and nothing was a problem to make us comfortable!The hotel is beautifully appointed, modern and the rooms are very spacious. The dinner and breakfasts we had at the hotel were lovely too!One special mentioning needs to go to staff member Natthinee.Aware of our situation, on her day off, she left some medication at reception for us which was greatly appreciated! Thank you Nat!We are wishing you all the very best and success for the future!
