MONDI Resort Oberstaufen

Clean, comfortable for family, good facility, friendly and supportive staff

the room was renovated, nice combo from classical style and modern elements. Nice and newly renovated bathroom, comfortable bed, nice view.

1. Check-in only after 16:00. Too late in my opinion.2. The restaurant. Menu for lunch was very limited. Nothing to eat for children. Green salad, cheese plate, flammkuchen, dessert. In the evening we didn’t have opportunity to have table in restaurant. It was fully booked ( only available in the late evening but our little children have to sleep this time). And you can’t order “to go menu” because it’s possible to do only before 17:00 with special guest App. Nearest village had not so much restaurants and they were also overcrowded. A very frustrating experience. ( At the end we grabbed take away pizza in the village). It was the same story next day. But now we knew about menu to go and had time to order it. We were lucky they let us in for breakfast. In conclusion, I can say that we didn't like constantly worrying about meals at the resort.

This is our 4th visit to Mondi in Oberstaufen. You can see that the owners are investing in the hotel, it's rooms and facilities and the restaurant. Staff are very friendly and aim to ensure you have a pleasant experience. We stayed in one of the newly remodeled rooms, which are very stylish and comfortable. We love the pool with its view over the mountains and it's great to see that this has been renovated and updated. The restaurant was great and we love the welcome package and fresh bread rolls. The location is perfect for skiing at Huendle or Steibis and it is really easy to pop into the village if you want to explore.

The spa, the location

Most of the rooms are very old (but clean).If you are with a baby, carrying the stroller up and down the stairs is exhausting.There is no free room service.

Area is great, the surroundings are incredible nice.

Restaurant - serve only pizza + some kind of pasta, for a 4 star resort this is unacceptable.Children in door playground - was very cold no heating and smallNoise - many drunk people (nothing against them), but staff shall emphasize the rules and ask the guest to follow them Reception - we were asked to pay in advance the breakfasts, didn't understood why?

Location, room, facilities were all excellent.

Staff didn’t give much information, no dinner and breakfast possible due to too many people. Hotels should cater for their guests if advertise with restaurant in my opinion. Weird that each offer is in a different house, so you walk a lot of times from a to b.

The facilities are well appointed and comfortable. The masseuse was exceptional.

We never received an email telling us we had to request dinner and breakfast in advance.

The location, the spacious apartment, the pool

No vegan options at breakfast and dinner

Something for the whole family, close to places of interest, also comfortable to spend the time on the property.

I had requested a vegan diet option and it was confirmed that vegan food choices are available, however this was not correct as the dinner’s were fixed menu without any vegan choice. I should have been informed about it when I asked the question before traveling to the place, I would have made arrangements for myself.

Room

No air conditioning; it was really hot and uncomfortable in the room during the day.

Beautiful setting. Well equipped rooms and great swimming pools. Nice and relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.

Sofa bed was comfortable, but very noisy whenever you moved, so waking up the other person!

Beautiful apartment, well located. Easy to walk into Oberstaufen. Restaurant and bar were lovely, with friendly staff. Loved the chair in our apartment overlooking the mountains.

A room with balcony and complete kitchen stuff, which we didn’t need it for our short staying, but definitely useful for family occasion.

The fact that the wellness facility is in different building, we didn’t find any snack machine when we got hungry in the middle of the night

There are alot of facilities in this resort. It is suitable for young families with small children.

Most of the facilities are for young children so the older children 9 yrs old onwards might not enjoy the facilities.The breakfast is expensive for the limited variety. Coffee is not the best compared to other trips we have had. There is one coffee machine and there was a long queue. The placement of the food was not the best service experience. We need help to dispense the fruit juice as the jar was unstable and not accessible to children.The bedroom is small for a family of four, 3 adults and 1 child. The toilet is very small. We knocked on the heater and walls a few times. There are random furnitures in the room. The make shift bed is right beside the main door so imagine the jackets, dirty shoes and bags after hiking. We had to arrange some furnitures around to accommodate our luggages, hiking clothes and shoes. There is a old kitchen in our room which is a reminder of 'work' (personal opinion) so it is not relaxing. Overall the room is more suitable for a couple with 1 young child.

The place was perfect for a nice and relaxing weekend before our big trip to Austria. The oberstaufen plus card is a great plus. When we woke up the place was covered with snow which made it extra special. The room is pretty good and the beds are comfortable. The aquaria (to do with the oberstaufen plus card) is a great swimming pool.

The only catch with the oberstaufen plus card is that you can use one of the features per day.

Everything was great! Sauna and the pool. Oberstaufen plus card. Parking available just near the rooms. The restaurant, the bowling alley. Kitchenet in the room. Views and trails around.

If only there was more snow at time of our stay, so we could use the free ski pass... but its not hotels fault at all...

Breakfast selection, spa, friendly staff at reception.

Exceptional view on mountains. Staff was very kind and flexible and agreed to change our family room for the chateau apartments with great view on mountains and after renovations.

Some rooms needs renovations therefore you need to be careful while booking and book the room with mountain view and after renovation.
