    Pros +

    • Location close to Motorway
    • It was close to Calais to get the ferry
    • Close to Channel Tunnel

    Cons -

    • Not very clean, was asked to pay when already paid. First room smelt badly of smoke and wasn’t able to secure window. It was on ground floor and window big enough to climb in. Breakfast was poor.
    • I’ve seen better prison cells! Couldn’t pay cash upon arrival as suggested. Room was small, bathroom door handle hanging off, pubic hairs on toilet, no towels or shower gel provided, uncomfortable mattresses, stains on sheet of top bunk, room had an odour of a grandparents house who has smoked for 50 years. Couldn’t wait to get out of there first thing in the morning to get our ferry. In my words ‘cheap and cheerful’ to my daughters ‘no Daddy just cheap’….
    • Chilly. Paper thin walls so very noisy. You can hear people above and on both sides. Was hard to sleep. Take earplugs! Minimal plug sockets.

You get what you pay for, this was a bargain and I knew it would be cheap and cheerful. The only thing was that they gave us a room that had definitely had smokers in it. The smell hit you as soon as you walked in. But other than that, I'd stay here again for a non stinky room ?

The beds were comfortable and the location was convenient and close to restaurants. Fine for a cheap stopover on the way down to the South. The beds were clean and comfortable and we had a good, quiet nights sleep. Breakfast was really good. The staff at the desk were pleasant.

We arrived after 2am and were allocated a card to the wrong room. Went back to the man in the office and got re-allocated a room. This was a bit annoying because we were freezing cold and tired. There was a strange man sleeping outside our room on the bench in freezing temperatures. That was a bit strange and unnerving. Security was a bit lacking with no security gate. We only had two towels and no soap for a booking for three. We asked for soap and a towel in the morning. The soap was provided but the towel didn't materialize. The place is tired and does indeed need a revamp and some effective management. There was mould in the bathroom and plenty of human pooh and loo roll on the grass areas and broken glass around the hotel. It's okay for a shelter for the night but other Premiere Classes in the chain are in a different league for the same money. For example, I gave the one in Clermont Ferrand an exceptional rating. I wouldn't feel confident recommending this one to families.

A quick overnight stay cheap hotel the room is very small no facilities no where to get a hot drink when we were leaving very early hours the room wasn't overly clean

The receptionist was very friendly and when asked I was given a bedroom on the ground floor. The room was as we sometimes find, very dated and small. We only stay one night whilst travelling to Spain, so it's enough.

The room was small and dated. A mirror in the bedroom would be appreciated as the mirror in the shower always steams up from using the shower. The switch for the light inside the door was falling off and very dangerous if a child touched behind the switch. A room should not be offered when that dangerous. As the temperature outside was -3c we were cold with only a sheet and cover on the bed despite using the heater in the room. We had to wear our jumpers over our winter pyjamas.

Clean and warm room. Very basic motel with quick access to the tunnel. We have stayed in the past as well

Location just 1 minute from motorway is adjacent restaurants and McDonalds

Unfortunately hotel is really really tired. Rooms need redecorating. Smell of smoke in room. Floor not clean Car park so small vehicles crammed together

Easy to find, easy to park .

Hotel is very tired ,just needs some TLC .

    Convenience and familiarity

The rooms are tired and the shower was non functional unfortunately. Clearly popular with tradespeople which is fine but early morning departures from 5.30am disturb sleep

    6AlisonPosted on: 10-22-2024

Not far from péage, near a McDonalds, staff helpful, clean. Towels provided.

Soundproofing inadequate.....people next door very loud until 2.30am.

    9PhilipPosted on: 10-22-2024

Greeted by a great receptionist who was friendly and very efficient. Given a ground floor room as requested. Very comfortable and had a good stay.

Only had 2 small towels. As we had a wet room we needed to use one as a floor mat. Not enough hooks for hanging clothes. Only 2 hooks in the wet room so nowhere to hang out day clothes or wet raincoats.

    Its proximity to motorway.

Looked a vet dodgy part of town with somebody living in tent outside.NO WATER AT ALL FOR DURATION OF STAY AND NO OFFER OF BOTTLED WATER. When reported to reception ( they didn’t tell us as we booked in) there was the famous Gallic shrug and response of maybe 1 hour, maybe 1 day!Very basic.I guess you get what you pay for.

clean and great for a night stop over, bed linen clean and bed plenty big enough, parking almost outside the door

shower pod a bit cramped but overall ok

    Location was good

The bathroom was old and not very clean

The location is great and ideal for us at the start of a journey to the south-west. It is close to the autoroute and surrounded by useful eateries and outlets. The parking is good and easy. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The toilet flush failed completely and water was continuously gushing out into the pan but ineffective as a flush. There was no direct dial number to the reception in my possession and although there was probably someone available to get hold of during the night, there was rowdyism outside and we did not want to invite further trouble by leaving the room. The problem with Premiere Classe is that all rooms are external to the building. In the morning a member of staff came straight to the room to fix the toilet which was much appreciated. My real problem is that the screws to the cover over the cistern had clearly been in and out many times and one was missing altogether. The unit needs to be replaced and I doubt very much whether that has been done following our experience. Minimal intervention seems to be the order of the day. Other Premiere Classe establishments have been better in my experience.
