Landhaus vor Burg Eltz

Quiet, beautiful surroundings, lots of hike routes. The landhaus itself is very cosy. Very welcoming host, Dieter. Thank you for your hospitality!

I loved its vicinity to Burg Eltz. A really pretty hike through the woods got us there in about 45 minutes. The hotel was clean, front desk girl was very nice, beds were super comfortable and it was a pleasure to stay there :)

Nothing, everything was just fine

The location is perfect in a quite town, close to the Burg Eltz. The owner is friendly and explains you all that you need. The room was nice and spacious with all facilities. We had the balcony room and it was lovely. The bathroom is modest but has all you could need. Breakfast had nice options and was lovely.

The shower could use a deep clean.

We realize it's not common to have in a German hotel, but this location could have used A/C.

Perfect for an escape into the nature! The guest house is well maintained and cozy and the host Dieter is very welcoming. He accommodated our request for late check-in, which went very easy. The room is quite spacious offering a nice view of the surrounding hills. We visited in mid November, and we were glad that the room and the bathroom were equipped with the heating units which kept us warm. We also had breakfast and dinner in the hotel, both of which we enjoyed. The surroundings are very beautiful, and there are many opportunities for scenic hikes in the area. All in all, can definitely recommend this place!

The doors are not sound proof. However it is not a big deal.

Owners were welcoming and helpful. Quiet location. Restaurant normally closed but they allowed us to join in with a horseback riding group they were serving. Food was delicious. Large room with a couch. Very convenient for early start to see Burg Eltz.

The proprietor spoke English very well which is a big plus. The food was great, and they are situated very close to beautiful Burg Elton.

I stayed at Landhaus vor Burg Eltz for one night to visit Burg Eltz Castle, and the experience was wonderful. Reaching the hotel during summer was easy. I took the train to Hatzenport station and then RegioBus 365 (check the castle’s website for the bus schedule). I informed the driver of my hotel stop, and they dropped us off right outside the hotel at "Hinter der Hecke."( stop name)The hotel allowed us to check in early, which was a great convenience. The property was clean and well-maintained, and the hosts were welcoming and friendly.Burg Eltz Castle is about a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel, and the route is safe and pleasant. We walked towards the castle early in the morning to catch the sunrise, which was beautiful,

The bus ticket from Hatzenport to the hotel was 5 euros, but the driver kindly didn’t charge us for the return trip from the castle, as it was just a short 2-minute ride.We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel. While not the cheapest, the prices were reasonable considering the remote location, and the food was lovely. The hosts made us feel very comfortable throughout our stay. Additionally, the room had a fan, which was helpful during the summer heat. Suggestion: The owners could offer a small shuttle service to and from the castle for a fee, which could be a convenient option for guests.Added all these here due to word limitation’s ?Only thing to note was rooms are not the biggest and we got the top most room (Attic style) so might not be the best of choices for every traveler.

The room and bathroom had a strange smell. There is no ventilation in the tiny bathroom. Luckily, the window of the room itself can be opened wide.

The staff is very kind and it is close to Burg Eltz. Room is big enough. Windows have mosquito screen. Breakfast is also ok. The owner offers you a bottle of water when you do check in. It is quiet, no noise outside, just birds. I loved my stay.

We had a wonderful stay. We picked this property for its proximity to Eltz Castle. It's just up the road!Our room was large and well equipped. It had everything we needed for the stay. We drove to the property and there was ample parking for our van. Check in was simple and easy.We ate dinner and breakfast in the guesthouse too. Dinner was wonderful, it was fresh, hot and very tasty. Breakfast was small but more than enough. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The location is quiet, picturesque and easy to find.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was a kettle provided that is unusual in German accommodation, also the breakfast was delicious. If you are riding along the Moselle there is a bus you can catch up the hill to the accommodation that will take your bike along. It stops right in front of the hotel. It was so appreciated. It had a gorgeous outlook and the owner was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The ride back down to the river was very scenic.

The host was very hospitable and spoke English very well. Breakfast was good as was the coffee. Brilliant location if you intend to visit Burg Eltz.

Great location (can walk to Burg Eltz from here). We enjoyed the bar and restaurant; great traditional German food and local beer. Kettle in the room was a welcome bonus and our room had lovely views across the fields. Parking space for the car was easily obtained too.

This small hotel is within easy walking distance from Castle Eltz, which should not be missed when visiting the area. The staff were very friendly and engaging. The food in the restaurant was very good as was the breakfast. The single room was extremely clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again when in the area!
