The pool, the facilities and the breakfast were great. The location was fantastic as well!

Everything was great! The breakfast was strange because we custom ordered, but people didn't seem to pay attention to what we ordered or the times they were supposed to be delivered. For example, breakfast was delivered 30 minutes early one day.

Quiet location. Great views over the reservoir. Spacious rooms. Private pool with a great view. Friendly staff. Free delivery of breakfast/dinner in vila. Flawless WiFi.

Central heating was not turned on upon checkin (however, the A/C was effective). There were no outdoor plugs for EV charging, while charging using indoor conventional plugs is charged 10€ flat.

The villa with private pool was amazing! The views of the lake are breathtaking! The villa has spacious rooms and many large windows overlooking the beautiful terrace and pool. There was even a fireplace. Breakfast was brought to the villa, so we could enjoy it on our own private terrace: WONDERFUL stay!

- This is about the area in general. Be cautious when setting your route to the property, as there are many side roads where it's easy to get lost. At night, try to stick to the N2 route. It's highly recommended to avoid N243 and N368, especially during bad weather or after dark.

I liked everything in general, from the moment we arrived, the receptionist was attentive and explained everything to us as it should be. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great too. We had a fantastic view of the lake and the swimming pool right in front, which would have been great to enjoy if we had gone in the summer. The table service provided for dinner and breakfast was excellent, with the staff being very helpful and friendly. The food was also great and not expensive at all for the quality of it.

Let's say the only problem with the accommodation was the soundproofing, as we were close to the entrance of the building and could hear people talking at the entrance as they walked around. We also had the dining room right above us and we could sometimes hear tables and chairs being moved.

Extremely nice staff, super relaxed and clean environment. Bedrooms were very comfortable and stylish, as well as the whole property. Great infinite-like pool space and direct access to the lake with the possibility of kayaking.

The lighting and isolation of the bathrooms could be slightly better.

Beautiful hotel in a very tranquil spot by the lake. The staff were very attentive and friendly.

Good location for water sports, very quiet and peaceful. The view from the roundhouse is excellent, but from the villas the view wasn't that spectacular, as the wonderful shady trees also detracted a little from the view. But still very good.

The size of the swimming pool is not suitable for a villa that accommodates 6 people. The furniture and decoration deserved some modernization.We couldn't enjoy the hotel restaurant because we were allegedly too many of us (8). We were offered delivery to the villa, which we didn't want. We really wanted to enjoy the wonderful views. However, despite being told that there were too many of us and that priority to restaurante was given to the 4 hotel rooms, it was very unpleasant to find the table set for 8 people. In other words, we didn't felt that our big family with kids was welcome.

If you are looking for calmness and you just want to watch the lake without doing anything, you can go. The bed was ok. There was parking area.

There was no activity to do. No indoor pool. The outdoor pool is quite small and right in front of a room. So you can swim right in front of them while the room guests are sitting on the balconies. Room lighting was quite inadequate, certain places were completely dark. The back of the coffee table with the coffee machine was covered with dust. The toilet seat in the toilet was moving. The ventilation fan in the toilet and bathroom was very noisy. Even this ventilation sound of the next room was coming into the room and we had difficulty sleeping.

We loved everything. The room was super comfortable and the terrace with the view over the lake and pool were superb.The staff were welcoming and so friendly and professional.We loved everything about this beautiful hotel. The meals in the restaurant were wonderful, and the personal details made it that much more special.It was the perfect place to spend our anniversary ❤️

The attentive service complemented the excellent cuisine, creating unforgettable moments during our meals.The peacefulness of the location was unparalleled, offering a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The added sense of security further contributed to our peace of mind, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy the beauty of our surroundings.Montargil Monte Novo's ideal location served as the perfect base for exploration, with ample opportunities for adventure nearby. Overall, our experience surpassed expectations in every way, leaving us feeling rejuvenated and already planning our return to this idyllic retreat.

Although we adored our room and the stunning view it offered, there were moments when we felt our privacy wasn't fully respected. Some guests seemed unaware of boundaries, prompting us to occasionally draw the curtains for a bit more seclusion.

Beautiful relaxing jewel in the mountains!The lake view from the room is wonderful. Very helpful and attentive staff. All the food was delicious and beautifully served. Great location for a short break. Definitely recommended!

Beds where realy comfy and breakfast was very good

We had 2 small dogs with us and stayed in a Villa. The charge of 90 euros for 2 nights for the dogs is way to much and should be visible on booking site. Does not feel like that this place is pet friendly.

We loved our house and a pool, it’s perfect for family vacation and quiet rest between lake and palm trees. Hope to come back

Would be nice if in future they couldn’t add maybe some children playground

A stunning Hotel, and location...Wonderful staff, amazing rooms so tastefully furnished and extremely comfortableBar, lounge and dinning area over look the Montargil Dam reservoir..Lovely outside decked area to enjoy the wide variety of beverages available.Dinner was the the Chef's surprise, so no menu but fantastic local produce, and enjoyed by us all( 7 of us!!).....Again the breakfast spread amazing.We only stayed 1 night, but will be returning for sure.

Nothing not to like....

An absolutely delightful stay! Staff, service, restaurant, everything was above expectations and I totally recommend Monte Novo if you want a restful and peaceful stay with all the comfort and amenities. The villa with the private swimming pool is just amazing, with all the plants surrounding you can enjoy just the sound of birds and the blue sky. Lovely! And don’t miss the dinner at the restaurant. Chef Miguel really knows how to make the best of local food with a touch of modern cuisine. don’t miss it!
