    Pros +

    • Beautiful place. An absolute gem. Great value for money. Bernardo and his father are extremely welcoming. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious. I wish we stayed more than two nights.
    • Friendly, great view, big bathroom, terrace.
    • Nice ,clean , comfortable , very friendly service simple dinner , great breakfast ?.

    Cons -

    • the swimming pool has a very steep floor and maybe dangerous for children
    • Not enough air conditioning in public area. Small pool with little shadowed area
    • Our room had a very bad smell coming from the toilet that spread to the whole room. When we informed the staff, the response was, "It’s normal at this time of year - nothing we can do it's the same in all other rooms," which was quite surprising. The outdoor gardens were also completely abandoned and not maintained.Breakfast was average to low quality. There was only one staff member managing both breakfast service and guest check-outs, so our eggs took 45 minutes to arrive. While the location is good, the overall experience at the hotel was terrible—especially considering how expensive the rate was for the area. Definitely not worth it.

This was my favorite place we stayed during our time in Portugal! It’s a beautiful, clean, and comfortable property with wonderful views, an outstanding breakfast, and super friendly staff. I would not hesitate to stay here again - I absolutely loved it.

    Nothing, everything was perfect!

    Traditional Portuguese and lovely views

    A little run-down

Nice location, clean and spacious room with a terrace, tasty breakfast with a beautiful view. Recommended!

A really great room in a beautiful location

Nothing really. It was quiet as out of season, but good restaurants nearby

Great position with views and peaceful . Lovely breakfast with freshly cooked egg and bacon as well as a great choice of other items. Good sized room with balcony and hammock. Well equipped plus a honesty bar area in the lounge.

Bathroom drains smelt a bit. Limited plugs for charging devices and none by the bed. No milk with the drink facility in room

The hotel was better than we expected. Lovely location with amazing views. Our dogs were welcomed and allowed everywhere. The breakfast was a good buffet selection. Would definitely recommend for a rural retreat and would return again.

The location is awesome. Green paradise. With the stunning view.

Our room did not match the pictures. We expected to get a hammock on the balcony, as we saw in the picture while reserving. But unfortunately now, the real room did not match the offer. So I was extremely disappointed, because it did not meet my expectations and it ruined my plans. Our balcony’s photos are attached.

The hotel is in a great location, with a lovely walk from the doorstep to a beautiful bridge. The hotel room had a beautiful view of the mountains, and a nice balcony to enjoy it. The rooms were large and comfortable. The host and staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really good! There is a pool area which we didn't use, but looked nice.

The wifi in the rooms wasn't useable, we had to go down to the reception area to use it properly. This was frustrating. Also, the toilet in our room hadn't been cleaned when we arrived.

The venue is located in a rural area, which is what we wanted. The surrounding area is beautiful and very peaceful. I am a light sleeper, so really appreciated the fact that there was no noise at night. The room was a good size, and the bed and pillows comfy. The shower was excellent, and the room had tea and coffee making facilities. It also had a balcony overlooking a river, and a hammock !The communal areas are large. The main area had a large tv, lots of seating, an open fire (during winter), great Wi-Fi and 4g reception. There is also a small swimming pool - well maintained, a free pool table, and hot and cold drinks available (including wine and beer) which you can purchase. The rooms also had air conditioning. The breakfasts were excellent. This is a family run place, and the family and staff were fabulous. They are very proud of their locality, and will provide you with any information that you need to make the most of your stay.

Public transport is not common in this area, which did not bother us as we had a rental car. I would suggest you will need a hire car to get around the area.

Great place to stay near the national park. Very friendly host and great breakfast. The host can be a wealth of information about the area.

Unfortunately, trees have grown and block the views from the room balconies.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was great and super helpful. Everything about the hotel was excellent. They serve a very good breakfast and have drinks and sandwiches available. The location is great. It is a short drive drive from Peneda-Geres National Park.

    9GaelPosted on: 8-31-2023

quiet beautiful location with plenty stunning walked in the park

    9VincentPosted on: 8-18-2023

Beautiful en quiet environment. Good location to discover the Geres national park. Our room was quickly made available even though we arrived before check in time. The hotel offers great facilities with a pool and self-service bar with good prices.

Availability of restaurants is sparse, so make a reservation beforehand if possible. Furthermore it's located in or near the park so expect the occasional encounter with bugs in the room :)

Beautiful and quiet location, friendly staff, nice and clean room.

    9BartPosted on: 4-8-2023

it is really quiet, nicely build on the outside of the small town. The famous Misarela bridge is only an hour walk (retour).Staff is very friendly and honest in recommending restaurants nearby.

A wonderful family run hotel in a gorgeous area. The father and son owners were very helpful, and we loved their recommendations for a hike (the Pont Misarela) and dinner (Hostel do Geres). They stoked a fire in the communal area in the evening, and it was a very comfortable place to have a drink and relax. We would love to return!

The curtains in our bathroom didn't open properly, but it really wasn't a problem!
