Pros +
- Breakfast was incredible with a lot of variety and options. Staff was very helpful and nice. Room was large and met expectations with a great view to a lake. Pool was very large and free to use. Free large parking was a bonus.
- We liked the location of this place for exploring the lesser-frequented areas of the national park. The rooms are separate from the main building and overlook a small lake. The breakfast was fine, typical Portuguese, but the highlight was the fresh scrambled eggs. Plenty of parking. Huge pool with a very shallow area that's great for kids and a deep area for diving/jumping.
- One level hotel with individual apartments, walk out patio overlooking the water. Clean and quiet. Breakfast available from main building. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Good location, close to natural park.
Cons -
- The jacuzzi was very dirty and some buttons did not work, we ended up not using it as it was too dirty for us. Pool also had some insects and debris but it wasn't too bad.
- This place seems to be a favorite for motorcyclists, which wouldn't be an issue if the parking lot (and entrance/exit to it) were not directly in front of/next to the rooms. The sliding glass door in our room was cracked and the air conditioning unit is extremely loud. There was no electrical outlet on one side of the bed. Cleaning staff made up our room after the first night despite the "do not disturb" sign hanging on the door. The bottom of the pool was quite dirty. On our way to breakfast on our last morning, we were effectively locked out of the main building and had to wait for a staff member to unlock the door.
- Balcony doors need some WD40, but that’s about it

Our one-night stay was perfect - comfortable and quiet room, good breakfast and wonderful, kind staff members! I would surely stay again.
Breakfast was very Portuguese, which filled my heart with joy ?it is a family owned business, and they are very nice and friendly, gave us extra breakfast so we could eat while on trail.
Balcony doors need some WD40, but that’s about it
The breakfast was very good with a variety if pastries, breads and rolls, cold meats and cheese as well as yoghurts, cereals, fruits and hot scrambled eggs. The location was rural - the nearest very small village was a short walk away but to access anything else you need a car.
The hotel is a bit tired and does need a freshen up.The swimming pool could have been cleaner.
Quiet location in nature, comfortable room with lazy balcony
great friendly staff, good food, nice room, nice view
the pool was green and the coffee at breakfast was below portuguese standard
Staff friendly and helpful, the hotel facilities were excellent, breakfast wonderful.I had difficulty finding Venda Nova because I did not have the coordinates and there are about 14 villages of that name. Eventually got there very late and much relieved that the owners mother was keeping watch for us to show us to our rooms.
Everything was good
Do sítio, da comida, da simpatia
Do azar de estar chuva
Everything was perfect. We were with our baby and the personnel provide à babybed. The breakfast is good. The restaurant aswel. The personnel is very friendly.Swimming pool is Nice. There is nothing to do in the area but perfect to rest.Touristic attraction is à little bit far soYou need to Have à car if you want to visit something.
- Nice view of the lake beside the hotel.- Breakfast was good.- Very easy access, specially for a sports car.- Hotel serves a super calm area without ANY competition.
- Very weak Wi-Fi coverage on my room (number 2).- Room was a little too hot, even with AC which didn't seem to be very effective.- TV could be a little bigger and with less interference (probably related with the Wi-Fi issues mentioned before).- Outdoor jacuzzi/hot tub and swimming pool should be a little bit more clean although I would say my expectations are very high.
The facilities of the hotel were great.Breakfast was excellent The room was in great condition The varanda and views were eye catchingGreat to watch the starsLocation great for several activities and plans of days out
The evening menu could me more diversified. All dishes were accompanied of fries and rice. There was only 1 of 3 nights there was proper variety in the options. Some pasta dishes etc are easy to have on the menu.As the hotel does not is a spa30 € an hour for the jacuzzi and sauna is too much money
Wonderful team. so kind, inspite of lunguge straggling.. Perfect locationwe loved diner♥
it just a suggestion, but it would be great if they can find a way to light the lake in the night time
It was great value that breakfast and dinner were included in the price! Nice surprise. I would say the food was excellent but it was certainly sufficient.
No one spoke english but we got by just fine.
everything. amazing place with great staff. the rooms and the hotel were pleasant. delicious breakfast. 100% recommend
It had a beautiful view of the lake. The room was comfortable, and the food was good.Even tho they say the dinner is 35 per person, you do have the option to choose from the menu a pay only for you asked. The wine from the house was really good.
No wifi in the rooms.
Location and staff. The restaurant serves real and typical food (posta barrosã, cozido à transmontana e and alheira) is excellent!
Neighbor rooms were a noisy.
The location is very nice facing the river, and the pool is big enough for this pandemic period, which allows us to make a social detachment.
The staffs were unfortunately not very friendly at times, not being able to help with simple tips or direct restaurants, but in general was OK.
