    Pros +

    • Staff is great and always very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good. Pet friendly.
    • The room was big. The Spa is very nice (but have just one thermal pool). The hotel is pet friendly.
    • We stayed here while walking the Camino de Santiago. Curia was a little bit off the route, but everything that was directly on the Camino was booked by pilgrims going to Fátima. We were quite surprised that the hotel was more of a resort, than just a hotel. It was clear that it had seen better days though.Good breakfast buffet

    Cons -

    • The pool was not properly maintained.
    • Some facilities were not working
    • I prefer rooms without carpeting

I already knew the place and that was the reason to go to Curia, this was the first time in this hotel, is located inside a nice park with nice sightseeing. The breakfast was good.

Upon mentioning that the room did not have any view, trying to get another one, we were told that the hotel was complete (although there still were rooms available in Booking), instead of trying to solve the problem, they just mentioned that we could go, beeing reimboursed.

Nice, comfortable hotel with everything you need for a relaxing and quiet stay. Bedroom was very clean and spacious. Free toiletries and a wide selection of channels on the TV. Breakfast was good and varied. Seating downstairs by the fireplace was very nice.

The restaurant was very big and unwelcoming, since the guests weren't that many to fill up the space.

Old facilities with low recent renovations ends in a hotel that stopped in time a while ago.

    - no investment in facilities recovery - lack of staff training

The location embodies a profound connection to nature, showcasing vibrant greenery and the soothing symphony of outdoor sounds. It stands as a tranquil sanctuary from the chaos of daily life, an ideal refuge for those in search of peace. The allure is further enhanced by the presence of natural medicinal waters, inviting rejuvenation and healing.

We had a truly wonderful time staying at this hotel! The hotel is very cozy! It feels as if time has stopped, allowing you to enjoy the peace, tranquility, and the surrounding nature. We initially booked for one night, but ended up extending our stay twice because we simply didn’t want to leave! The hotel is very quiet, and the park around it with a large lake adds to the atmosphere of serenity, complete calm, and relaxation. Both the room and the entire hotel are exceptionally clean, and you can feel that the hotel team manages everything with love. Everyone is friendly and eager to help with any questions. Special thanks for the hospitality to the administrator, Carina! The food in the hotel’s restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced: soup is €2, and a meat/fish dish is €12. You can also rent a bicycle for free.

There are no vegetables at breakfast at all. It would be nice to have. Also, the pedal boat rental operates only on weekends, so unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to ride on the beautiful lake.

    location is very good

Not even try the swimming pool with a green color breakfast must be less industrialized we have more quality in Portugal to offer and could be made by the hotel and not warm the productsThe building must to have a renovation as soon as possible I need to telework and the internet didn t work that was the reason I left Curia very early

    Nothing outstanding

The bathroom water was not hot enough, the breakfast was plentiful but in a horrible room at the end of a corridor, the whole place looked tired and worn. A rather depressing experience..

    10rute_dsPosted on: 4-25-2024

Good location, as it's right at the entrance to the village.Room was decently sized, with working mini fridge, a small closet and a big bathroom with bathtub. The hotel also has a restaurant downstairs, in case you don't wanna go far to eat lunch or dinner.

    10ChristinaPosted on: 4-21-2024

Welcoming staff, large room and quiet location in beautiful grounds!

No coffee or tea in rooms ☹️

    8AlessandroPosted on: 10-10-2023

The hotel is located in the middle of nature, surrounded by a huge forest and a small lake. I also appreciate the healthy walking route which pass through the park. The facilities are a bit crumbled but perfectly centered with the context. The staff very kind

The restaurant was not as good as the rest of the experience.

    10DianaPosted on: 9-26-2023

It was a very comfy cozy hotel, the staff were amazingly nice and caring, the room was big and sunny and the therms were perfect

    8PedroPosted on: 8-17-2023

The hotel is very well located within the beautiful park and surroundings of Curia. It's old style with a lot of space in the dining room, bar, rooms. The staff was friendly in particular with the younger ones. The restaurant was good, albeit with limited offers at lunch/dinner time some days of the week. The breakfast was very good and varied.

The swimming pool was not in proper conditions when we used it - with opaque water and pieces of mosaic falling just by scratching the wall or the bottom of the pool. Indeed I got the information that days after we left it was closed to usage. Nobody in my family got sick but it is a pity that it was in such a state, for the price of the stay. Overall some aspects of the hotel could use serious renovation. There is a charm to the old style but there's also a limit to where old becomes simply degraded.

    10analidaPosted on: 5-29-2023

loved the spa, massage and the natural hot spring pool.comfortable, spacious and beautiful room. worth the detour from camino. Gorgeous grounds!

    8MyriamPosted on: 3-22-2023

The staff were very friendly and exceptionally helpful. The hotel is obviously old but the room was nice with a large bathroom & a view of the pool. The parc is huge and nice for a walk. The hotel and park are dog-friendly, something which is rather rare in Portugal.

The spa - which isn't a spa but more like a medical place. Old and uninteresting with a small pool but the quality of the water exceptional. It is also a bit of a walk outside to get from the hotel to the spa. It is a shame that the old spa is in a decayed state and that the original spring fountain is also not accessible to the public.

    9BarbaraPosted on: 2-22-2023

Staff were wonderful, food and drink wss very good and reasonably priced

The standard room, was small and basic but changed to a suite that was lovely

    10Fay N.Posted on: 10-23-2022

It is an old Hotel but with large, modern rooms. it's beautiful and clean.

    7MichaelPosted on: 9-25-2022

The room was okay and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were good.

The hotel and room was a little dated, could use some upgrades. Not much to do in the area other than what the hotel has to offer.
