Schloss Mittersill

The idea of sleeping here, the Hotel Schloss Mittersill is already astounding. A remarkable hotel with spacious rooms, has elevator, good services, friendly staff starting from the front desk staffs, the kitchen staffs, waitresses, waiters, cleaning staffs, and bartenders. Overall, a welcoming atmosphere!

Everything, the staff ( all of them, the reception employees, and the reception employee that made us the tour in the castle with patience and knowledge, the breakfast staff that was welcoming and more then nice ). The location that felt like a dream. The pictures doesn’t do justice to the place.

We had a wonderful experience. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the rooms and ambiance in general very relaxing. Although it is an old castle it has modern comforts. The breakfasts and dinner menu are very appealing to the eye and tongue and wholesome with local produce. And finally the views of the valley and mountains are incredible.

We had to go home......but we have already booked to come back !!

Hotel Schloss Mittersill is perfect!.The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is wonderful — the room we stayed in had a balcony and a bathtub, with a stunning view from the balcony. It was a truly memorable stay.

Superb location and a lovely castle with a great atmosphere. Staffa d food were excellent as were the overall facilities.

these little things didn't affect the overall impression much, but still:- the main thing - take away the egg foam from the chef, it's in every dish, on the third day it wasn't funny anymore- poor lighting in the room and restaurant- steam sauna not warm enough- restaurant staff (when Tanya or Ahmet wasn't there) - long, confused, forgot- pillows

We liked the room; it was spacious and had everything we needed. The breakfast was good, but its quality greatly depends on who is serving it (a huge thank you to Tanja). They also offer real cappuccinos and latte macchiatos for breakfast. We enjoyed the sauna and swimming pool as well. The dinner was amazing, featuring a five-course menu.Special childmenu was also available and tasty.

The mattresses were too soft and felt old.Breakfast: Please offer more hot dishes. Not everyone wants to order and wait for a hot dish. For a 4-star hotel, it would be great to have sausages, beans, and baked tomatoes available near the hot omelet station.Dinner: There are too many dishes with espuma. The dishes are good enough without it, and not everyone likes it.Child-Friendly: You have many children in the hotel, yet there isn't a single play area with toys. It would be wonderful to have a children's corner in the restaurant and a room with toys.

The breakfast staff was very friendly and attentive. The man at the reception desk was polite and professional. I appreciated his personal touch by showing us the castle grounds and way to our room. He was very nice. The sauna and pool were fantastic!

the property is like a movie , the castle the view the corridors and the rooms . the spa is just perfect to do in the evening with the swimming pool . the breakfast is more than enough .

Great location to the ski fields. The sauna and pool are great. Restaurant is nice. Room was well equipped & comfortable.

We were here the previous year, and there has been a significant & noticeable decline in customer service, which was a shame. For example, the dinner service (despite the menu being pre-ordered) always took a very long time to arrive (up to 2 hours). With a small child, this was a challenge. There was also constantly mistakes with courses missing, or one persons arrived and the other guests had to wait another 15 mins for the same course to arrive. The serving staff were very friendly (Tanja & Pau) but the seemed very under-staffed which resulted in a wait for 30 mins for coffee in the mornings. Other things such as the ski shuttle (last year there were 2 time options) this year there was only one. Also, the Sauna had no regulations - which was disappointing as last year there was clear guidance that no children were allowed, or swimsuits in the saunas. Whilst we really enjoyed our week here, it is considered a very special holiday for our family, and we were left a bit disappointed vs our experience last year.

The castle is amazing. It's a beautiful, romantic place, everything is clean and neat, the room was really spacious, the bed comfy, bathroom clean, everything spot on. The swimming pool and sauna are great as well. We were welcomed by Daniel at the reception who was really nice and friendly.

We prepaid breakfast and dinner. The food itself is good and waiters are nice and friendly but they seemed utterly incompetent. it seemed like the left hand didn't know what the right one is doing and the right hand didn't even know that it's expected to do something. We've waited twenty minutes just to order drinks. The time between courses was just too long, like twenty or thirty minutes - and mind you there the portions were tiny so you finish eating in no time at all. On the second evening they brought us only one appetizer and it took another twenty minutes to bring the other one. No one came to ask if we want more drinks, no one came take away the dirty plates left after bread and butter. Lots of confusion everywhere. The quality of the service in the restaurant simply does not correspond with the overall atmosphere of the place. Which is sad.

The dinner was lovely; it featured a five-course menu with interesting food choices. The breakfast was standard, with enough food choices but nothing remarkable to my taste.

There was nothing explicitly that I disliked; for some reason, I just expected more due to the excellent reviews on Booking.

We were supposed to have a birthday dinner when we have arrived to the hotel. We came 30min later because there was a traffic jam, they did not prepare the birthday dinner for us. They gave the special table to the other guest. Also we were supposed to have a three-course dinner, instead we had to choose from the a la carte. When I asked the waitress why they didnt prepare the birthday dinner they were rude. Also in the spa, 2 saunas did not work and the pool was really cold. Overall we had a really bad experience.

Our room had an amazing view of the whole valley! The staff was great! Their breakfast buffet is incredible! Its a short distance drive to the town but this hotel has incredible views! Everything in the room was great! All the amenities provided was top!! Wish we could have stayed longer!

Everything in this place suggests quality and prestige. The team member who checked us in, redefined what high quality of service is. In general, the reception team is highly commended for their welcoming attitude and patience. The rooms are big, nicely decorated, with a great balcony with fantastic view. The bathroom could host a family by itself. If you like Tennis, I doubt you will be able to play in a court with a better view. Returning to the hotel at night felt magical. We went on a hike the other day and felt it was a mistake we just did not spend the day at the hotel.

As with many other hotels in Austria, the fact that it has no AC was a challenge for us. I think breakfast fell a bit short in rletion to other facets of the hotel but this is only because I thin the rest is so great.
