Great spot and views are stunning. Staff were really welcoming and helpful (they dropped me to the bus stop for transfer to Naples airport after I checked out!). Building is a little older, but was very clean and everything comfortable. Some lovely restaurants / pizzerias nearby. Handy to train station where the train was only 4 mins to Sorrento. Great value for money (when compared to Sorrento).

The hotel front office staff were great, nothing was too much trouble, etc directions, additional items required for the room and even different room options. Liked the personal touch at breakfast. Beautiful location. The hotel could do with modernisation, however it does have character.

The view is nice if you get a sea view room

Old furniture, old everything in the room, but in a bad way. Very poor supplies for bathroom, no place to put things in there. Not recommended.

Please note this review is for the Britannia Hotel (same company) we were transferred to. Firstly, all the staff here were wonderful, and couldn't have been more responsive, helpful and charming, getting our stay in Italy off to a great start. We had a spacious, super clean room with seaview balcony from where we could see Vesuvius. We enjoyed the welcome jacuzzi and lovely terrace and it was nice to be able to have a drink, hot or cold during the day. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of food with again, very lovely staff. The wifi was excellent. Also great was the location with a bus stop right outside with 15min journey into Sorrento centre or station, and a very reasonably priced and lovely restaurant about three doors away. Very highly recommended.

We would have loved if the jacuzzi had been available after 6.00pm as well.

My recent experience at Hotel la ripetta was exceptional, thanks in large part to the incredible kindness and professionalism of Gina at the reception. Her warm smile and helpfulness made my stay extremely enjoyable from the get-go. The hotel rooms were cozy and comfortable, ensuring a restful stay. The hotel's spa was a true oasis of relaxation, with rejuvenating treatments and a soothing atmosphere. Kudos to Gina and the rest of the staff for the excellent service and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel. I can't wait to come back!

Everything is great there

Superb place, near the beach, which is down the rocks, views are fantastic, 15-20 min to train stations by foot (from both stations).

Very weak breakfast (as you can expect from hotel). Apartments are average, but that was allright for us.

The hotel was a last minute booked accommodation for a single night, because we had a flat tire on the way from Positano to Vietri, 6 km far from Sorrento, and we could not find a tire repair service at that time in the evening.The location is great, at the sea side with a wide terrace offering a spectacular view of the sea. It has a very welcoming and friendly personnel and management who show a lot of respect for their guests and go out of their way to make their stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. They helped us find a car service to fix the flat tire and the manager drove us personally to the place where we left the car and waited with us for the mechanic. We cannot find the words to express our gratitude.We appreciate a lot their efforts and the support they provided and felt very welcomed there. We were very pleased to be treated so nicely and to find such great people in a foreign place. We are accommodated for this vacation in a 4 star hotel in Vietri, which does not come even close to the La Ripetta from Piano di Sorrento in regards to the way we have been treated as guests.We highly reccommend this accommodation, especially because we think that the way you are treated as guest is the first thing to take into consideration in order to enjoy your vacation time.Thank you!

The family that owns and operates the hotel are amazing and so kind. They are really are what makes this stay so exceptional. The smiles and kindness you receive throughout the hotel is like no other place. This is where they shine! The location was fantastic. Very close to the train station and to some great restaurants. Located right on the cliffside, the sunset views were spectacular. Though the hotel is very simple, the service was extraordinary. The restaurant had delicious pizza and they had live music 2 times while we were there. The vibe was amazing! Gina from reception was also so kind and really made our stay extra special. The grandma shared traditional cake with us which was so sweet. They made us feel at home and so comfortable and we really felt cared for. We will never forget this place and hope to return some day. The first day we arrived were were not sure about it and then by the time we were leaving we didn’t want to go. Definitely a unique experience. We loved the sun deck out past the restaurant terrace as the beaches were so over crowded and there at the hotel we could enjoy privacy, quiet and the amazing Mediterranean Sea breezes and sun. Thank you so much!

Would be nice to have curtains and better wifi but truly the experience of staying here was wonderful.

a/c was really bad,my daughter couldn’t sleep well,they gave us two fans to make our experience better,hotel was very uncomfortable,too many stairs up and down to get to our room,smell on the hallways was humid,not nice at all

best view of the sea from the room, staff were kind and very helpful rooms were cleaned daily 10 minute walk and you will get to piano di Sorrento where there is a large community shops trains ,restaurants there are no taxis in piano di Sorrento so be ready to walk

the rooms needs a little update mattresses are very hard ,pillows are very deflated time for new onesair con was very weak some of the PowerPoints need replacing apart from the minor inconveniences the stay is great
