Beautiful villa. Close to the coast. Must be fantastic in summer time.

Winter feels a little isolated. The village streets are very narrow, so don’t necessarily trust your GPS if it suggests taking the inner streets, better sticking to the outside roads.

Beautiful hotel, lovely staff. Terrific location.

The restaurant was a disappointment. The decor was bland, and didn't match the splendor of the rest of the hotel. The food was bland and uninteresting. The restaurant did not match the caliber of the rest of the hotel.

The hotel is an amazing place. The welcome we had from the staff at the front desk was exceptional. The intro to the hotel and facilities was great. Welcome drink on one of the terraces (we chose which one) was lovely overlooking the pool!The room we had was fabulous, we were upgraded on arrival which was lovely. The food in the restaurant was particularly good, we ate there for both of our two night stay.The decor around the hotel is fantastic. Very different, but amazing to see. We absolutely loved the hotel and staff and will definitely come back.

Room was not as described on Booking.com website. Did not have garden view. Staff need training; not all five star standard. Over-priced (could have been because we stayed on Valentine's Day. Decoration of the hotel is very unusual (not too our taste. Service in restaurant very slow.

Absolute perfection. Gorgeous hotel, remarkable staff, excellence in every way. Breakfasts are incredibly generous and delicious, decor is beyond beautiful. Can't wait to return.

The property and its surroundings are absolutely beautiful. It is a place of tranquility and luxury. And the staff team is exceptional!

We loved the breakfast though I think a buffet table to complement the menu selection would be great. Really nothing to complain about but a table of local produce eg nuts and figs, etc, to complement breakfast, would be exceptional.

Superb service. Kind and attentive. Always smiling. This place by far exceeded our expectations. Just a stunning hotel. The attention to detail is second to none. Staff are just incredible- the highest level we have ever experienced - giving their absolute best in kindness, attention and generosity in a kind and authentic way.Rooms are stunning and beautifully decorated with excellent bedding, beautiful linen, luxurious bathrooms and immaculate cleaning and attention to details.Pool is luxurious and well attended allowing for an amazing relaxing time and they even give you 2 x divine hats to lounge by the pool in style!Breakfasts were generous, super delicious, great friendly smiley service and the restaurant is out of this world, just so tasty, every single dish- and we tried them all!Super cute town, divine surrounding beaches and you can hire electric bikes to go exploring.We enjoyed our time so much and highly recommend!! . We would stay here again a heartbeat and cannot wait to return to this perfect, calm, amazing place which literally feels like heaven.

Too isolated. You can not go even to the beach. There is nothing to do in the little village. One night enough to enjoy the hotel.

Beautiful hotel - great and quirky interior design.

Location was a bit remote with very little around it.

The service was extraordinary. The young staff was so friendly and helpful, from the front desk to servers in the restaurant to the person answering the gate. They made it feel like you were visiting someone's home. Then, the design and artwork throughout the hotel, and certainly my room, was so interesting and unique. They located a local English speaking driver/guide for a day of exploration of the area that I arranged at the last minute. The last minute nature of my request didn't phase them. That was a treat.

We are totally in love with every little thing about Vermelho. Of course the interior design and architecture are what stand out most. The whole experience from the food at breakfast, to food at dinner, as well as the incredibly helpful, polite and friendly staff. We wished we could have extended our trip.

Nothing to do with the hotel, but we do wish we had come with our own car as it is easier to move around as there is much to see. If not, then relaxing in the luxury of the hotel was just as wonderful.

It was off the charts> We loved every detail. The setting, the decor, the food, the bedding, the lighting, the staff, the attention to detail. One of the Nicest hotels I have ever stayed in.

I wish the pool was a big bigger....but it was fine as the hotel only has 13 rooms, so it was never crowded and the setting was spectacular

Luxurious stay. The hotel consists of excellent service and great attention to detail from a design perspective! It was the perfect setting for our honeymoon.
