Galaxy Hotel

The staff was very friendly and sympathetic when I told them Aegean Airlines had lost my luggage. While it's a ways from town, it is a short walk to the sea. The room is very basic, about right for the price.

Breakfast was nothing to get excited about.

Brilliant hotel, basic but everything you need and the owners are fabulous! We would stay here if we came back to kefalonia. It is a bit far of a walk from Argistoli or Lassi in the heat (we came in July) but a very easy taxi. Pool area is great!

Location was perfect. Very easy to go into Argostoli and close to cute little beaches. Central spot to go to many places around the island. The breakfast was amazing!!

There weren't many amenities. No soap, no shampoo. The bathroom wasn't very clean. There was hair along the shower wall and on the mirror from previous guests.

Rooms very basic!

The location was great and it was generally very quiet both regarding the insides of the hotel (rooms) and outside of it. Also, the beds were quite comfortable and the staff was very kind and helpful. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

In the bathroom there was no curtain in the shower which resulted in water spilled everywhere however hard you tried. Simultaneously there was no window / ventilation so it was hard for the water to dry out. On a side note, while the breakfast was tasty and with variety, it could be even better if there were more tongs for the platters, so as to eliminate getting things with your hands and some surfaces could be attended to more often.

It is a nice location close to the beach, but some distance from the town. Breakfast was excellent, but it was difficult finding a suitable location for an evening meal.

No evening meals available at the hotel. Not even 'snacks'.

6th visit and won't be the last! Petros and staff are all amazing and can't do enough for you. My room was a comfortable twin room with fabulous views to the side and a partial sea view. Plenty of choice for breakfast, you won't go hungry! Lovely pool and seating area. The hotel is situated in a gorgeous part of the island with 2 tavernas a 5 minute walk away. I'll be back!

It was noisy in the morning. doors banging in the corridors, etc..And people on their balconies couching and talking till 1am in the morning,.

The location to beaches and good restaurants near by its a good 20 min walk to the capital argostoli the hotel was dated but for what you pay it's still very good value for money I would book again the pool area was kept clean the staff make a good effort to look after you

There was problems with mosquito everyday was a challenge to control them but apart from that it was OK

We asked for a double bed and they didn’t have it anymore when we arrived, and we booked months in advance… I’m pretty sure they did not see our request on booking. Staff was not nice, and polite, m the manager was nicer. Breakfast was poor, not much to eat, coffee was horrible, no warm milk, jam open with flies…Room was super small, hairs on the floor behind the table stand, we flooded the bathroom after a shower as it was small and we couldn’t do much better. Sheets and towels were not clean. Stairs for the pool are « not finished », it’s like it’s missing a few of them.

Super friendly staff, cute & old-fashioned hotel facilties, not far from Argostoli. Nice area in the peak of the Argostoli "peninsula". Breakfast gets the job done for the price, as it is a mix of continental breakfast and greek pastry food, seemed to be homemade. Staff changes towels upon request, makes the bed daily. Pet friendly people, as the hotel has its very own cute Labrador mix. Staff recommended great restaurants on the island! Bathroom and mosquito complaints really seem okay if you take the very low room fares into consideration!

Bathroom didn't have a vent or something similar to let humidity escape. Found several molded spots because of that. Shower curtain instead of fixed walls didn't help (lots of water on the ground because curtains were too long and couldn't dry properly). Also, no mosquito net at the balcony doors and therefore many mosquitos in the room (multiple mosquito bites). Beds also seemed a bit short for people above 6".

Salt water heated pool was great. Very good breakfast with hot entries. Fam ily owned and run, pleasant and helpful

AC unit leaked onto desk in middle of night. Fortunately computer was not on the desk. Reported problem twice but still leaked when we left several days later.The key card to turn power on and off also controlled the fridge, which is unusual. We discovered this when we came back after the first day and found the food we had in the fridge was spoiled. They rectified the situation by giving us a key to leave in when we went out.

The staff was extremely nice and professional. The hotel is beautiful, I felt nostalgia of the late 80s. The location is right next to the sea, the area is peaceful and still very close to Argostoli.

The perfect position, next to Saint Theodore Lighthouse. For those who like to walk, you can enjoy a few small, splendid, wild beaches on your way to Makris Gialos Beach.

Bed linen looked dirty even though it was clean. Pillows where so uncomfortable and hardThe table tops had marks on them they could have done with a quick lick of paint.

Repeat stay at the Galaxy, so no surprises for me Comfortable budget hotel in quiet area not far from Agostoli. Super staff, super breakfast.comfortable if smallish room. Fabulous pool area. Just the pool bar for snacks during the day. First choice on Kefalonia for me.
