Hotel Aurora

Beach. Lovely city. Staff in restaurant.

Because we were looking for accommodation at the last minute, we chose this hotel despite our doubts. However, the reality was worse than expected.The hotel was in generally poor condition, evidently without any investments for a long time, with a mess at the reception right at the entrance. The air conditioning in the room did not work, and since the room was under the roof, the thermometer on the broken air conditioner showed over 33 degrees Celsius, and 29 at night. The whole building was hot, including the breakfast area.The room was clean but hadn't been renovated for about 50 years. The bathroom was repulsive. The beach service, although provided by the hotel, did not match the price. Moreover, even though there were relatively few people, they offered us the last row, claiming everything else was occupied.In the end, we stayed on a piece of public beach, which was excellent – pebbles, beautifully clean water, well-maintained.Parking was a bit away from the hotel and included in the price, and to get to the hotel, you had to drive through a Z.T.L. (limited traffic zone) only during the day.The restaurant in the hotel was good, with excellent service and great willingness.The breakfast had minimal selection, absolutely not up to today's standards, with a hot room and an unpleasant smell.In conclusion: I do not recommend this hotel. It does not match a *** rating.

Amazing location right in the beach and on the main boardwalk of Cecina! It was a short walk to the public beach (5-10 mins) and minutes away from shops and restaurants. The reception staff was very kind and accommodating. The mini fridge in the room was a nice touch

The property itself feels a bit dated. The beds were a bit hard and the linens seemed quite used. The breakfast was basic, but fine for 1 night.

There was no internet connection in either the room or the restaurant. Breakfast was so poor , only 1 cheese , one bacon, no eggs , no good bread , no fresh cornetti

The view to the beach was magnificent, the cleanliness of the facility great and the attitude of the staff impeccable. I have certain dietary restrictions and the staff was very kind to accommodate my requests!

There was nothing I did not like. Maybe a little bit of outdated furniture, but that did not have any impact on my positive experience. All good
