Pros +
- Flexible staff trying to adapt to unexpected circumstances. Super cute dog (belongs to the hotel)! Lovely spa-like accommodation for longer stay and retreats. Kick-ass bathroom with a luxurious feeling.
- Disappointing
- Friendly and helpful front desk staff; location perfect as we needed a one night stay close to airport and Gradil ; beautiful grounds, unlike typical hotel
Cons -
- Some issues with languages. Local lingo and all, sure, but there's still some expectation on employees in tourism industry. Luckily, everyone tried to help and there was always someone with good English skills. So not a big issue. No breakfast included. In this kind of place, it's weird (or a way to get extra money). Especially given the cost per night. However, that may be my expectation and at the location there's a different culture. So not a huge thing, neither.
- Location and directions on Booking .com are inaccurate. We ended up 30 km from the hotel. Dreadful restaurant, limited choice and smothered my fish in jalepino sauce. Dogs allowed free rein. Staff ambivalent.
- We were there for hotel’s grand opening party unknowingly. Eating at restaurant was challenging. A single waitress in opening night trying to keep up with orders from all guests. We had 2 rooms - in one room no hot water in shower and second bathroom awful sewage smell

The staff was very friendly and kind, they really put some effort into managing our requests and needs. We had three dogs with us, the hotel managed to put us in rooms close to each other and with a garden so that the dogs could have some space for them to walk and play. Also, we had a person with limited mobility with us and the hotel staff did their best to put this person in an accessible room.Overall, the hotel offers many facilities, like a sauna, pool, woods, etc
nothing critical, but the restaurant could have more meal options and they were a bit slow in preparing our orders
Nice property, loved the bakery. Beautiful grounds. Great food and drinks
Too many bugs. Spa should be staffed. Had to search for someone to start sauna. I dont have Instagram so I couldn't boom Atmos.
Really, not much. We stayed here for a private wedding and would not stay here again
Run down, basic ground keeping was not being done, pool was dirty, shower had way towels much mold. Toiletries labels were peeling and some pumps didn’t work. There is zero food between 1000-1900, zero. Not a fruit or bag of chips. Staff in food area were rude and ill equipped. If you stay here, be sure to have a car.
Nice breakfast, good restaurant for dinner and so nice to have a sauna in Portugal
This is a very quiet peaceful hotel in the middle of the countryside. The food is excellent and prepared with local products. Lovely staff. Had a very well rested night, I will definitely come back next time I will be in the area.

The staff including, the resident dog! The manager waiter, Paulo was extremely concerned with our well being. His attentiveness enhanced the dining experience.Katarina , the hotels manager was equally attentive and lovely.Their combined presence offered a lovely experience.
Elevator not working.
Beautiful location, nice activities and features.
Dog friendly however have a reactive dog roaming the hotel, which barked continuously at our dog and stressed him out.
Property has gorgeous on-ground features, very nice staff, and a cute dog! Great A/C, hot water comes on fast. Very little-to-no complaints about this stay :-)
Could have been just a bit cleaner; there were prints on the lounging chair from whoever stayed there last.
The environment was beautiful - despite it being a wet rainy visit
Totally geared to weddings - which was excellent, but if you’re not part of the party can get limiting to the use of the facilities.
Breakfast was amazing. Our check in was very easy and everything was already prepared. Location was very attractive for us. Asked cot for my baby and it was neat and ready on our arrival. Bed was very comfy.
Room floor was a bit dirty. Room freshener was a bit too much. The smell was intense.
Warm welcome from the dog and girl at the reception and at the bar was very nice.
We could not have lunch because the hotel was hosting a wedding - no warning for this was given. Breakfast service was terrible. Paper thin walls hearing everything from the neighbours. Very small and uncomfortable bed. Dirty cups and glasses never taken away from the room, nor replaced.
Staff and size of room The massage was amazing
The food
Relaxing place, wonderful staff (including the happy dog called "Café", coffee in Portuguese). Breakfast was nice and the restaurant dinner was spectacular. Perfect place to spend your jetlag days.
The "Spa" needs improvement. The supposed "Turkish bath" was nothing but a jacuzzi (not very clean) on the ground and 2 small sauna cabins.
Superb
The location and everything else were absolutely perfect, but the food I received didn't match the quality that your resort deserves, which is a great shame. It's important that all aspects of your resort, especially the restaurant, make a strong impression on the overall stay. I recommend that for the price you're charging, the food should be much more substantial and varied.
Nice breakfast,. Helpful staff. I was attending a wedding in nearby Gradil so location was great.
Rooms were a bit small. Would have been nice if room had a fridge / mini bar
Lovely peaceful location. Good facilities and food. Nice touches in rooms.Staff were all helpful and friendly . Had a really relaxing stay!
The property is a lovely space that has a family feeling with the friendly staff, who felt like family only after the 2nd night. The gardens and Cafe the dog that made friends with our little yorkie
