It's a nice place to stay if you're for business or a short trip in Skopje. The staff is very welcoming and helpful.

There is no balcony as stated on booking. So to light a cigar you should go downstairs at the resturant or in front of hotel

The hygiene was good exept the shower the water wasnt sinking but there was a bath that we could use instead

Not much to say, the staff were nice and the location has some surrounding life around.

The hotel is very old, and it really shows, the carpets, furniture, and overall condition need updating. Our room was cold in December and the AC/heating system wasn’t working properly. The windows barely isolated sound or temperature, so it was noisy and uncomfortable. The room was clean, but that’s the only positive thing I can mention. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The breakfast was excellent. Variety, appearance, taste of the food. The staff was professional and friendly. The room was comfortable and cozy. Very well managed hotel.

The hotel recently renovated, and we get bigger room then we accepted, it was perfect.The hotel has free Wi-Fi.And nice breakfast.

Staying at this hotel in Skopje felt just right for exploring the city. It’s only about a 15-minute walk to the city center—convenient and easy to manage on foot. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived, which made settling in feel effortless.The room itself was comfortable—clean, cozy, and exactly what I needed after a day of wandering around. And breakfast? It was decent: not over the top, but freshly prepared and satisfying—just enough to fuel up for the day ahead without any fuss.All in all, it’s a great choice if you’re looking for a place that’s well located, pleasant to stay in, and hassle-free—just what you want when you’re traveling.

There wasn’t a waste basket in the bathroom, which would have been more convenient.

The location

We stayed at Hotel Karpos for one night as a pit stop during a long journey, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.The issues started with not parking space at the hotel even though it is advertised as free parking at hotel, problems continuing at check-in. The receptionist was clearly overwhelmed, with at least 10 guests waiting while he slowly typed names into the computer with one finger. This process took an unnecessarily long time. To make matters worse, the rooms were not ready even though check-in was at 15:00 and we arrived around 19:00. Despite the extra hours, the hotel still gave single rooms to guests who had booked doubles. Some rooms had unmade beds, still dirty from previous guests.Our room smelled of cigarettes, the fridge was missing (just a hole where it should have been), and the bathroom had not been cleaned — there was hair left in the bathtub. The curtains were half falling off, and the towels were so worn they had holes in them.Breakfast was another disappointment. The food was cold, and although there was an espresso machine, guests had to wait nearly 20 minutes for coffee made in a pot. Most people ended up pouring coffee from that pot themselves. When I asked for milk, I was sent back to the cereal section to pour regular milk instead of being offered foamed milk for my coffee.The staff in general were unhelpful and rude, not taking responsibility for the many issues. The only bright spot was a kind lady, Elena (apologies if the spelling is wrong), who did her best to apologize on behalf of the hotel.Overall, I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel, especially if you are planning a holiday. It is poorly managed, unclean, and will almost certainly spoil your stay.

The receptionist was very kind and helpful when we arrived late in the evening – really 10/10 for the staff. The bed was comfortable, breakfast was included, free parking in front of the hotel, and the location in the city center is very convenient.

Cleanliness was very poor. The carpet was dirty, there was dust everywhere including in the bathroom, the toilet was not properly cleaned, and we even found a used towel behind an armchair. Definitely more attention should be given to cleaning.

We didn't like anything but the location.

It was dirty and smelled like dust. In the first room the toilet was broken we called and they send us a tech to fix it. We were out for a few hours and when we came nothing was fixed and we called again and were told to get another tech. We refused and asked for another room - there was no other room avail but when I asked for a refund they magically found one. The new room was even worse - again dusty, but this time the door was broken and wasn't safe to stay. We just left the hotel after an hour and didn't even bother to ask for our refund.

It was the worst stay in my life. There is no any positive side to say.

I believe that it could be 4 star hotl in 70-80s, but now it should have no any star. After 13 h trips, I was going to my bad directly in pijama, but I suddenly found out that the bad was not fresh and it was dirty from the last guest. Unbelievable....

The hotel was clean and well presented, staff were helpful, relaxed.

When I booked the room on booking.com the breakfast was included. When I arrived the staff said it wasn't and that it was a problem on the booking.com website . So no breakfast unless I paid an extra euro15

It was not clean, the room had a strange smell, for breakfast you have only one option.
