Hotel Tomce Sofka

I had an amazing stay at this wonderful family-run hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Their warmth and hospitality were truly exceptional, and they provided fantastic insights into the city, helping me discover hidden gems and must-visit spots. The hotel itself is spotless—everything was extra clean, making my stay incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was simply wonderful, offering a delicious variety of fresh and high-quality options to start the day right. The location couldn’t be better! Nestled in the city park by the river, it’s a peaceful retreat just a short walk from the bustling city center. In just three minutes, you can reach charming cafés, lively bars, and the famous nightlife district, as well as top restaurants. Despite being so close to all the action, the hotel is incredibly quiet, offering cosy and well-designed rooms for a restful night’s sleep. For the quality of service, comfort, and unbeatable location, this hotel offers excellent value for money. I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning!

The building is old, but still, the rooms are very clean.

Clean room very nice warm blankets comfy bed and fresh air. Near to the Soccer Arena location. Love the taverna beautiful bar quite place, drinking only no food.

No 24/7 service, no vending machine to get snacks after midnight, lights off. It was bit strange.Door terrible to open or close. I injured my finger on the black front door. Hard to open because no space to put your fingers unusual not commercial made structure of the doors. Inside my door has big handle but no lock even the card didn't work automatically to close my door. Cleaning lady opened my door unexpectedly early morning,, she apologized, but best to bring in your system 'Do Not Disturb sing. Cold bathroom bit chilly room at night.additional services such taxi (Uber, lyft) etc. should owner have reliable services. Greeting customers it's very important or sending them with great smile on theirs faces, communication skills must be important.

Nice and cozy atmosphere, I did not stay for breakfast but the room was alright, a lot of space and comfortable. Extra duvet available in the closet.

There are no shelves or hooks in the shower so all the soaps and shampoos would be dropped on the floor after you finished using them, also there was only one toilet roll available which was barely enough for me that night.

Not so clean ,breakfast price 8€ for poor choice of food it’s a lot ,can eat at beautiful restaurant for that price ,not so close to city need to walk at least 15 min .it’s was not hot water afternoon when I want to shower only on mornings until 12 am

The location is excellent; it is next to a park and within walking distance of the river and city center, with a good restaurant next to the hotel.

Unfortunately, everywhere even inside the room, you smell the cigarette. They need to improve the ventilation system.They didn't have the facilities described in the room, such as iron, coffee maker, boiler, etc.

Disgusting!!! Bed bugs everywhere, I got bites all over my arms, back and legs. Around 11pm I woke up feeling itchy so I turned on the light and the bed was infested with bed bugs. I got up and went to the front desk to get a different room. At first the person said it was because I opened the windows but that was not the case. The reality is they don't clean properly.

In general, it was fine for the price.

It wasn't very clean. The cost of breakfast was 8 euro (not 5 as was mentioned on Booking.com).

Nice hotel. Plenty of space with a big window, tiled bathroom, air conditioning, a couple of writing desks at different heights, and a wardrobe. Reasonable fee to be picked up at the airport in a nice car and let into my room after hours. It was easy to manage my booking when I needed to add dates, and they run a bar with cold drinks and good espresso you can take in your room. Regular upkeep of towels and sheets if you have a longer stay. There's a nice restaurant next door and shops all around the stadium. City Park is well kept with families, tennis players, and dog walkers about most days and a taxi stand and bus stop in front of the park on Ilinden where many cafes and bakeries are located. It's a short distance to the museums and malls in the center if you walk down the river (wide bike paths and pavements) and you can cross any of the bridges on foot to visit the fortress and the old bazaar. It's also not too far up the mountain to Middle Vodno where the cable car starts. Skopje is a great pedestrian city and this was a great hotel to explore it from.

I prefer having a two-way window to leave open at night, but these did open fully on both sides to let in a lot of air on good days.

I really liked how friendly and helpful all the staff were, especially Blaze, from the moment he collected us from the airport he took care of us, ordering taxi’s and helping with local information and just always being there to greet us with a smile. I really liked the location of the hotel, a short walk into town, close to the park and the tennis club. Lots of nice restaurants around. This is the best part of town to stay in. I really liked the size of my room, really spacious and nice decor, beautifully cleaned and bed made. I really liked the coffee that they serve downstairs. I will definitely be back to stay again in this hotel.

Saw a couple of big cockroaches in the room. When I messaged the hotel before my stay, I was told that the airport transfer could be paid for with credit card upon arrival - turned out to be false - I was very lucky I had some euros in cash by sheer luck as I don't normally carry cash.

Comfortable room, friendly staff, convenient location. And great coffee.

Loud music in the vicinity on both weekend nights -- bring earplugs.

I loved everything about it. The hotel is small and intimate, yet with a mixture of old world charm with a greek/slavic flair. The staff were so friendly and helpful in every way. Before I arrived I messaged the staff because I had a few questions. They answered me within the hour, every time. They offered to pick me up from the airport which I took them up on. Blaja that works at the hotel picked me up and my other two friends that arrived on a different day, also hired him to pick them up. And he charged me less than a cab would have charged me. All the staff were great but Blaja was exceptional!!! Me and my friends felt very welcomed and well taken care of. The rooms were super spacious and we all had several beds in each room. The location is perfect. Only 10-15 min from the main square and old town.

My room had a small fridge but wasn’t working very well and it didn’t keep my water cold. That is my only complaint. Everything else was great ?

The room had a good size

The room was very warm when I got in, and it smelled like cigarette smoke. The staff mentioned that the previous guests, which were turkish, have been smoking inside the room. Amd there was no other room to move to.

Nice clean place near the centar and quietly. well organized entry and exit in the late hours

the air conditioner was weak and there was water leaking in the toilet bowl.
