    Pros +

    • Terrace of the hotel is divine.
    • First and foremost, I travel with my Four legged companion who is a retired service dog named Layla. Layla has nothing but praise for Hotel Lovran! The staff was super kind to her, she enjoyed the proximity to the beach and the live singer in the evening. Her favorite was Dominik Hestera who dedicated her favorite song "Layla" to Layla :)Lastly, the breakfast is amazing
    • Location and on the ocean!

    Cons -

    • Do not like that the hotel is charging extra things that are in other places assumed to be included in the price. They say on the site that they have a parking, but then two days before you arrive to the hotel, they tell you that you need to pay extra. They say that they have their own beach, but when you come there, they charge you extra for the beach bad and umbrella.
    • The room was a bit small but we could have chosen a bigger option.
    • Great room but was full of bugs. Something kept itching me and the kids

The hotel is vintage but nice, Staff is very helpful, excellent location, tasty breakfast, convinient beach. Very much recommended.

Though there was a note about that in the hotel's description, I missed it, and was upset that the parking lot is very small and we didn't get a spot. But we were dericted to the very close location with a parking spot available for free.

Super friendly and helpful staff. We were traveling with a service dog. Typically the hotel charges 20€ per night for a dog (which is actually quite a lot), but since ours was a service one, we didn’t have to pay anything. Good breakfast on a lovely terrace with a sea view. 2 min away from the sea.Even the building itself is rather old, is very clean, tidy and well-managed. Lots of restaurant options 3-10 min walk.

comfortable old fashioned, great staff, nice breakfast, sea view, sea access

    10NikinaviPosted on: 4-6-2025

Everything.Starting from the sea view, finishing with the good breakfast and parking space just in front of the hotel.

    Nothing to mention.

Old school hotel with a balcony facing the ocean. Wonderful. Great buffet breakfast in dining room included.

    7JasnaPosted on: 2-10-2025

Great staff, good location. If you have a room with a view - it's priceless. The promenade is a minute away. The breakfast is rich and tasty!

A bit old school interior and furniture, especially the fact that all the floors are carpeted.

We loved this hotel and were happy to return for the second time. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home. Our room was clean, spacious, and had a beautiful view. The location was also excellent.

We were really disappointed with the poor sound insulation. It significantly affected our stay, as we could clearly hear our neighbors talking loudly until midnight, which was very disturbing.

The staff at Hotel Lovran truly go above and beyond to ensure every guest has a memorable stay. I was particularly impressed with the reception team. Mateo, in particular, stood out for his professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to assist with any request. His attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent service were evident throughout my stay.Additionally, I must commend the wonderful lady at the reception who has been with the hotel for an impressive 21 years. Her extensive experience and deep knowledge of the area were invaluable. She provided fantastic recommendations and always greeted me with a genuine warmth that made my stay even more special. The hotel itself is old but charming, with comfortable rooms and beautiful views, but it’s the people who work there that make it truly exceptional. Their dedication to guest satisfaction is evident in every interaction. Breakfast is superb, view during breakfast time amazing.I highly recommend Hotel Lovran to anyone looking for a delightful and welcoming place to stay.

The room was spacious and very clean. The lounge of the hotel had an incredible view of the sea and the mountains, and there we were able to enjoy drinks and Croatian art (paintings from the 19th century). All staff were very professional and respectful from the reception desk to the cleaning service, especially the restaurant manager (Emil), who was very kind and nice to us. The food was delicious, well presented, with a great diversity of options. The christmas dinner was an incredible Croatian and italian buffet. We will certainly come back in the summer!!

Since I am travelling for business, most of the time I stay in budget hotels, for this reason I am usually not a person who writes reviews. my expectations from hotels are limited and standard. I wanted to write something nice for this hotel. This hotel is not a very new nor a super invested facility, but it has a team that takes good care of both the facility and its customers. I think the biggest asset of a hotel is that the team and the owner are happy with this job and make you feel it with small details whether they want to or not. This hotel will give you a warm and soulful experience on the beach in Lovran.

Perfect location! Right on the main street but still very quiet and peaceful. Close to the wonderful promenade by the sea (if you have problem with steps - like me cause of the injured knee - there are other ways to reach the sea shore). If available, do not hesitate to take a sea oriented room, the view from the balcony is great. Very good self-service breakfast & dinner. Nice and very friendly staff, special thanks & regards to Mateo! This hotel's general impression has improved a lot since our last visit in 2017.

The room vas very clean and quite well equipped, but some really small things would be welcome, for example removal of the scale coating on the shower hand and fixing the toilet which was a bit wobbly. However it did not spoil our stay at all.

Large room, nice balcony, good breakfast.

Parking very limited, Hard to find public parking.

    Breakfast.

Lovely lounge area but no snacks or coffee/tea available. Bar didn’t open until 18.00. Disappointing. Rooms could do with updating especially bathrooms.

The room smelled amazing! Fresh, clean, with nice hints of lavender. It definitely made the stay much nicer. The receptionist were very nice and friendly, the place was clean, and breakfast was rich. The room had a lot of character, that was nice as well.

During breakfast, I took something that looked like a plain croissant but turned out to be filled with something that seemed like meat filling. I'm vegetarian and a simple note on the food, also warning of potential allergens, could have simply avoided this situation. The room was ok for a single person, but for a couple might be a bit small. It was on the second floor and unfortunately I still found it a bit too loud, even when the window was closed. But those are minor things and overall I think it's a good choice for this area.

Good location free parking Lovely view over the sea and easy access to a small beach area beautiful crystal clear sea. The property was dated in decor but absolutely charming, lovely big room and en suite and the breakfast was amazing - a banquet of Central Europe food.

Nothing - it was dated in decor but everything was up to a high standard and it’s a pleasant change from the modern characterless hotels

Good location, comfortable accomodation, nice, big breakfast, very friendly staff. Wonderful view to Kvarner bay and islands. Pleasant atmosphere of picturesque small town and old resort.

    Everything was satisfying.
