Hotel Meridianus

We liked the Rimowa styled aluminium lifts and the elderly retired Italian guests, somehow charming old fashioned ‘gem’,

There was a cockroach in our room..were to skip breakfast altogether but there was no bakery close by so we took the chances at breakfast. It was fair for the price.

The city and the beach is amazing

The Hotel is overrated and it wasnt the best cleaned. Thr shower cabin is to small and everythung in it is older stuff.

All in all it was great. Nice staff, comfy beds, good location, beach,... Can recommend it

Staff was helpful. Room was clean and large enough for a single traveler. Only the bed can be wider.Breakfast was really good.

Actually it is not a main problem, but if you want a little bit more entertainment rather than relaxation, then you better choose Sabbiadore instead of Riviera part which this hotel is located. However, there is a bus stop in front of the hotel and public transportation takes about 20 mins.

Nice place for holidays near sea.

Breakfast very poor like for 4 stars hotel. Lunch and dinner very good.

1. Staff was very good, friendly and useful2. One of the best sandy beaches3. Sea water very nice and warm4. Though meals were a la carte (not buffet) , the food was good and healthy and this system avoids wastage 5. We were allowed to go to the room as soon as we arrived, though the check-in was at a later time.

1. Breakfast selection poor2. No upfront prices for drinks, including water (found out on the final bill)3. Though advertised as having private beach, all sunbeds had to be paid for per day/half-day (not cheap!)4. Only one swimming pool on site with only few sunbeds available5. No tv programme in English , nor English channels 6. 1 glass of coke was 4.50 euros (the one from concentrate)7. Limited time for meals (only one hour for lunch and dinner)

Very old furniture, small rooms, dirth under beds. The hotel should have max 3 star if not less.. for the money we paid it should be something else..

Everything nice esp. the pool

It is near beach (300 m), breakfast was excellent, pool maybe to warm (but it is May and is OK) - 25 meters great to swim.

I have been to Lignano for one night as part of a bigger journey that I am doing across Northern Italy. I choose Hotel Meridianus for the good prices that I saw and by comparing the offers of similar hotels in the area, and it actually exceeded my expectations in terms of quality! The location is very quiet and close to the beach, the staff is friendly and professional, they really care about their guests! The breakfast was great and my room was very comfortable. Quality/price ratio is excellent.

2nd time - was good and owner is very! friendly and helpful.
