Hotel La Pergola

This property is good value for money. we liked th eloctaion - walking distance from the main part of the city and long breakfast.

The standard rooms are quite small, and the bathroom, in particular, feels uncomfortably cramped

Hotel is very kids-friendly - I was so impressed.Staff is kind and helpful. Swimming pool is great and the hotel offers bike for free (including kid's seat) and it made the difference. It is easy to explore the region with bike.Breakfast was good with options of fresh fruits.Room is simples, but very clean and it works well! Also include AC.Looking forward to coming back soon. :)

Nice architecture and interior design for the hotel as a whole.The outdoor pool is very good: you can manually turn on functions of the pool. It’s also pretty big and the water has perfect temperature.

The elevator is manually operated: you have to continously press the button for the elevator to run. And it’s very slow.The room we were staying in (around 32m2, for a family of 5) didn’t feel like 4-star hotel quality. Low quality furniture, very loud and old air conditioning unit that was centrallly operated so you couldn’t turn it off. The lights were super minimal.

The location, the cleanliness, the spacious rooms.

There was no wifi available for most of my trip. I arrived on tue and the wifi was fixed on sat after 5 days from arriving.The day I arrived, there was a false alarm at 3 a.m., which was terrifying for me and my daughter. The a/c was not cooling properly and I informed them about it but they did nothing about it.No tissues are available in the room, just toilet paper in the bathroom. The staff member I dealt with was not very friendly the wifi problem was a big deal for me as I had work and was unable to finish it. She was very unresponsive about it. However, another one informed me they will contact the technician.

What a surprise. The staff is excellent, without exception. The General Manager can always be seen watching over repairs done, updating of facilities, supervising the wait staff and even receiving daily briefs by her employees. The restaurant/breakfast room personnel were incredible. I cannot give names due to potential privacy infractions, but from the host, to the waitresses, I was amazed by their professionalism, expediency and their eagerness to support the guests in whatever need arose. The rooms were always cleaned from top to bottom, no shortcuts taken and the same applies even to the common areas.The breakfast was always plentifull, the coffee made fresh to order utilizing a barista and mixed drinks usually spot on. Rental bikes are available and reserving an umbrella and two chaits in row five always a breeze. It is not easy to keep such a high traffic place functioning and presentable, but the employees of La Pergola should be proud. I felt completely at ease, comfortable while knowing that the staff takes pride in their work to ensure we as guests are not lacking anything. Iwill be happy to visit in the future again.

The WIFI was a bit weak in our corner although the signal originated nearby; Parking can be challenging when fully booked; The pool was a tad too small for the amount of guests present, which includes the available umbrellas and chairs; The dinner choices were a bit lacking.

Very nice food. Pleasantly surprised with the choice of food for breakfast. Amazing dinner with almost gourmet style food. Pretty good location. Relatively quiet and at the same time not far from the center.

Staff is not super friendly. They do what you ask them to, but barely offer anything extra. Almost never smile. Some of them would not even say 'hi' despite noticing us. The only exception was the main manager at the restaurant - very welcoming person. The rooms cannot qualify even for a 3 star hotel. Very outdated bathrooms. Some of the furniture is worn out. The AC makes so much noise (on the lowest ventilation mode) that you can't sleep with it during the night. You have to pay extra for the beach umbrellas even though it was advertised as a private hotel's beach.

The room was really big and had a separate bathroom and toilet. The hotel had a free bike rental service.

Breakfast was the same every day, no idea, limited offer corresponding to the price. The quality of the coffee is very average for Italy. Fresh juice was orange juice from the box :-(

Located near to the beach.

The room was poorly decorated with cheap furniture and fixtures. The bathroom was for handicapped people which made it very uncomfortable to use for family with small children. The shower screen was broken and the water would overflood and create a puddle on the floor. The toilet was cracked and without a toilet set and sewage smell. Bad lighting and lack of privacy due to the big window at the bathroom.The room´s air-condition was very noisy and at it did not function.The swimming pool was small with not enough sun beds. The neighbour high buildings were very close to the pool creating lack of privacy.There was no balcony at our room despite the price we paid.The breakfast was very basic with lack of variety. The bread and cakes were old and hard. The eggs had a funky smell and the coffee was cold.The staff was unprofessional and unfriendly.There was an outdoor bar below our supposedly family room where drinks were served after 11pm. The guests are allowed to stay there and make noise until late . Therefore we could not fall asleep.We complained and asked if they could ask the guests to move inside so we could sleep. The staff with the hotel owner herself rejected promptly and reacted aggressively and arrogantly by replying "this is Italy". We suggested as an alternative to be moved to another room away from the bar area since we paid a premium price for the family room and just wanted to sleep. The owner rejected and said we would have to pay more which we didn't understand since there were alternative rooms available. We also suggested to be moved to another hotel but again offered to bear the cost ourselvesThe hotel owner was unapologetic, in an arrogant way never showing any sympathy or understanding for our well being. The situation escalated so that she called the police lying that we were threatening her. We ended running away for this horrible experience in the morning one day earlier and not being refunded this value.

Our family of four recently enjoyed a delightful three-night stay at Hotel La Pergola. From the outset, we were welcomed by the friendly and attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort.One of the standout features of our stay was the half-board package. It not only offered value for our money but also introduced us to a variety of delectable dishes, much to our delight. The hotel's location is ideal for families seeking tranquility. Set in a quiet area, it offered the much-needed respite from our daily hustle and bustle. We were able to relax and recharge while still being within a comfortable distance of local attractions.A special mention must be made of the pool, which was a hit with our two children. It was always clean, well-maintained, and never overly crowded, making it perfect for some fun family time.All in all, our experience at Hotel La Pergola was memorable and enjoyable. We left with smiles on our faces and would highly recommend this establishment to other families seeking a serene and comfortable vacation. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

While our overall experience was extremely positive, we do have a couple of suggestions that could enhance the comfort and convenience of future guests. First, given the concern about mosquito-borne diseases, we recommend regular environmental treatments, particularly around the pool area, to help control the mosquito population. This small adjustment would not only improve the overall comfort for guests, but also provide peace of mind regarding health and safety.Additionally, in alignment with increasing environmental awareness and the growing number of electric vehicles, the installation of a few EV charging stations in the hotel's parking area would be a great addition. This would be a convenient amenity for guests who are driving electric cars and would showcase the hotel's commitment to sustainable practices. We believe these enhancements could add even greater value to the already wonderful Hotel La Pergola experience.

Good location, close to the sea, very friendly staff. Free parking, playground for children, free bicycles, nice swimming pool.

Breakfast was poor, we waited 10 mins for simple eggs to be prepared. They gave us room designed for disabled people, this was not too convenient.Administrator called 7 different taxi and no one was available

A/C did not work in our room, staff was very helpful about it. They tried to repaire it but we got a new room after just 10 minutes! The new room was even bigger! The staff is very friendly and they are doing their best to make your stay pleasent.

Unfortunately, there were a lot of mosquitos in the first room especially. Maybe this is seasonal. Mosquito screens for the windows would be helpful!

The Place is very well situated: close to the beach, the city center and Pineta. Bikes are available for free . The staff is very professional, friendly and kind.

The showers enclosure was clunky and made the space really small

I am a regular at La Pergola, I have visited this place for more than 8 years and is still my favorite place to stay in Lignano.
