Lovely building but our room was small

The receptionist on duty said restaurant was full that night and gave us a list of taxis to ring we asked her to ring the only restaurant in walking distance as when we did it was a recording and we didn’t understand it but she declined to do so which we think was appalling.

    Good location. Basic

Quite basic and impersonal. Rooms were quite small

The hotel sent an email with the address, the only problem was that the hotel is so new that the road on which it is situated does not yet exist on GPS - and it was not physically signed on the road either! Luckily there were signposts or we would never have found it.

As the hotel has obviously not been open long the service in the dining room in the evening was chaotic although most of the staff were friendly and tried to be helpful.

The building was built in character with the area, very impressive to look at.

The reception doubled as a bar area, the kettle, did not work, no milk left in the tea tray, hair dryer was faulty, only one coffee machine,I stood in the queue to get a coffee, the waitress had cleared my table, other people were sitting there, !!! , completely lacking in management, unlike many other mercure hotels I’ve stayed in.

Not very welcoming staff, location and value for money

Clean with easy access to centre.

    Breakfast was poor.

Lovely staff, excellent breakfast and comfy bed!Couple of small negatives (but only personal) - there is a cockerel in the garden who woke up very early (I respect I am a light sleeper) but don’t bank on a lie in!In the room we stayed in the bathroom had a glass door (which was literally next to the bed) so when nocturnal loo breaks were required it definitely woke up the other person in the room as the whole bedroom was then lit up!

Very comfortable hotel with friendly staff..Great breakfast !

A little outside the centre of town , but this was known beforehand.

The hotel was impeccably clean, and the staff demonstrated efficiency and professionalism throughout our stay. The restaurant offered a satisfying dining experience, complemented by an excellent breakfast selection. We particularly appreciated the swimming pool and sauna, which added a relaxing touch to our visit.

The rooms were on the smaller side, which may not suit those seeking a more spacious experience. At the restaurant, the use of a QR code to access the menu requires guests to have a smartphone. As we had opted to go phone-free for the evening, we requested a paper menu. However, we were informed that we would need to wait for a tablet to become available instead. While this was not a major inconvenience, I must admit I have a preference for traditional paper menus, which offer a timeless charm and ease of use.

Modern and elegant room, also welcoming and nicely decorated, amazing breakfast buffet, nice staff, welcoming package for the dog and for us (nice card + 2 macaroons), great swimming pool and sauna space : a very client-oriented experience!

The pool and spa were great, although not enough space to relax. Bed was really comfortable.Huge shower was also lovely with choice of shower head. The bar was really good and excellent cocktails. Staff were also very lovely. Our room was next to the lift but general hotel noise was not an issue and we couldn’t hear anyone or anything inside our room. This is always a bonus.

It was a little too far out of town so had to drive everywhere. (We did know this before booking). Paying 8E a day for parking plus tax = 3 days of extra 39E on top of price paid. Car park was potholed and water logged. Hotel in middle of nowhere - so charging for parking is unacceptable. Also, three hotels in one all charging different prices. Check prices for Tribe, Isis and Mercure to get the best deal.

    Good

The Air Conditioning in room number 2217did not function properly, it was faulty and noisy especially during the night. This was reported to staff and promised that it would be sorted out. This did not happen as it was still noisy or stopped working.

    9GarryPosted on: 9-16-2024

Reception staff were very helpful, hotel was very clean, rooms were very comfortable.

Breakfast could have been better for choices in the hot section

    8RogerPosted on: 9-13-2024

Comfortable room, quiet, on-site parking, pretty location, good breakfast buffet

Expensive breakfast, restaurant not open for dinner on Sunday, WiFi speed poor, Apple Maps gives incorrect directions via closed road.

    9ElizabethPosted on: 9-11-2024

A new hotel with fantastic pool. Staff very helpful.

Paying 8euro to park in a half empty carpark in the middle of nowhere This is 3 hotels in one. A bit confusing. Although new, the flow through the hotel was strange.

    9CharlottePosted on: 9-11-2024

The breakfast was fantastic, gluten free options available too. My children & the adults enjoyed it.

    Pricey £++

Its a lovely location but far from the centre. The ambience is fabulous - really chillledThe hotel is super clean Its new and freshThe shower - ooooh la la - fantasticThe pool is great

Not acceptable that they charge for parking as its so out of town. Just park outside on the road - its really safe, close to the hotelThe staff are ok - not overly rushed to help, we asked for light bulbs to be replaced in our room. We were promised this would be done but it was not so the room was rather dark. The standard room is tiny and doesn't have bed side tables plus if you are tall you bump into the lamps hanging from the roof.We had a french door to open - except you couldn't open it because the room was too small ie the bed was too close to the window. The restaurant is expensive for what is on offer - as you can't get into town I guess you are captive audience
