    Pros +

    • The setting is very nice, the view from the restaurant is great
    • The grounds, the staff, the food and the old world charm
    • The farm is excellent & the chateau is very well maintained & attractive. The staff are incredibly friendly & went out of there to help us on numerous occasions as a family with young children. We would definitely recommend and would return in the future. The chateau’s own wine is great too!

    Cons -

    • 1.- in the description it said : family room with 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. In reality it had only 1 full bathroom and 1 extra toilet. The bedrooms were not at all as in the pictures provided.2.- there was a very noisy concert until from 7:00 to 23:00 and no one said or wrote anything until we did check in.
    • The property could do with a pool
    • Some of the staff at reception are a bit younger and not immediately catering to visitors needs. But in general we had great service.

A great venue, with attention to detail. Beautiful surroudings and a great room to spend time in. The restaurant was great too.

Some of the staff at reception are a bit younger and not immediately catering to visitors needs. But in general we had great service.

    Good location

We felt the venue was tired and in need of some TLC with many areas requiring repair . Our main concerns were : animal welfare no clean water for animals and condition of housing in poor state of repair . No clear reception area which mean we wandered around looking for where to check in . Room and some areas of property looking un loved , not cared for and in poor state of repair . Police tape used to block access to vineyards ( not exactly the view I was hoping for ) Heavy focus on money making areas ( wine tasting events , restaurant and shop rather than bar , grounds or farm )

The silence of the location, limited to nature sound was amazing. We loved the cheese/ham platter and also enjoyed the restaurant. Home made bread is amazingly good.

Cleanness of the room, having booked the largest room/suite “9” was limited, especially inside the closet and boxes and the daily cleaning never took the empty water bottles during 5 days.A pool would make the soot perfect for total disconnection.

The lovely garden, facilities, farm with animals and super friendly and caring staff.

    Everything was perfect.

Setting and its quirkiness. Friendliness of staff.

We had a ‘loft’ that involved 41 stairs. It was a Gite and not a Hotel so we had to maintain our own bed making and bathroom.

I liked the design of the room and the restaurant.

At the restaurant was a (old) woman in the staff that was very selective with who wants to be kind and gentle and with who not. Despite the restaurant has a beautiful interior, this lady did the atmosphere a bit weird.

The property is stunning with the vineyards and vegetable gardens and childrens zoo. A very relaxing place to stay

I booked an extra large double bed and only got a double bed. The shower did not drain and flooded the bathroom floor.

The chateau and its surroundings are fabulous. The food at the restaurant is delicious and the rose is just amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Totally worth its price!

The only minus could be the helicopter base not far from the chateau. One would love more peace and silence around. Having said that, it didn’t disturb us at night.I would have definitely given a 10 if they served their guests freshly brewed coffee since the place has got their coffee machine. Offering an automat-made coffee is just not up their standards.

The place is special! We liked the garden, animals, the room and the restaurant!

The chateau is beautiful, and is located in a wonderful natural reserve. We were given a flatlet with two main bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room with a small kitchenette. The place is ideal for a family! Our kids loved the animals that live in the chateau. Location was very good too. Few minutes drive from the main towns and sea close by.

Lovely property and grounds. Very comfortable room, very beautiful and clearly a lot of love has gone into this place. I would like to return in summer when the place will most likely be full and the gardens filled with people dining!

The restaurant was closed [for no apparent reason] and online it said it would be open. That left me in a position where I had to go to a supermarket to buy food for the evening [even though I was riding my motorbike all day and was totally knackered]. Note to Hotel: Make it clear whether your restaurant is open or not!

Very nice rooms and friendly staff. So relaxing sitting back drinking the local wine!

There was an adjoining room which we could hear quite clearly. Didn’t disrupt our sleep but had the potential to if the other guests were noisy.

The good things first - the room/apartment was really spacious and nice - bed was great and decor was great. The surroundings - the vineyard, old cars and so on were very nice as well. The breakfast was good.

Improvement needed: We arrived after dark - the vineyard is quite poorly lit so it was hard to find the rooms in the rain and darkness. Lights, signage or guide from the reception would be useful. I walked back and got a guide. Then the disappointments. We ate dinner at the La Table - score for that would be 5 out of 10. I was quite disappointed as the prices for the combo were around 50 euros. Apparently I chose the wrong dishes as other tables seemed to be enjoying theirs. With a similar price I ate superb meal earlier in the week in another restaurant. Milieu of the restaurant was great though.

Fabulous terrace and views from the restaurant.

Too close to the military helicopter base with continuous flight through day & night.
