Hotel Picos de Europa

Absolutely loved the room. The wood paneling, windows, and shower were all top notch. It's rare to have such high quality wood paneling in good condition. Loved hearing the river flowing at night. The staff was incredibly nice. The location is great. We wanted to stay an extra night just because of the hotel, but they were closing for the season.

There was a stair in our room, which is fine but it was little dangerous at night.

Location, staff. Had everything we needed. Offsite parking is nearby although narrow entrance and exit.Restaurants nearby were excellent.Pool looked good although we didn't have time to use.

Light switch also turned off sockets for charging. Had to individually turn off each light and not use switch by bed. Bedside lights not working.

The people, location, and, price were great. The room was spacious and clean. Also, the menu-based breakfast was tasty and well served.

The room’s electrical system was a bit dated. You had to unplug lamps to make any outlet available for charging. Other guests were very loud a couple of nights.

Spacious room with huge bathroom, very comfy beds, and lovely window view over the mountains. The staff is very accommodating and kind, and the entire building is very well kept, although it is quite old. The location is extremely convenient - in the town center, near both restaurants and cafes and the bus station for hiking trails.

A tremendous value, a clean and nice place to stay with lovely staff to explore the area.

The staff was just incredible. I had a problem on my notorcycle and they let me stay there the all day and enjoy the swimming pool even after my check-out while my motorcycle wasn’t fixed.Also, they have private and closed parking which is perfect for those travelling in a motorcycle.10/10 for the staff!!

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location is great and the room was very comfortable.

While parts of the hotel are newly renovated, other parts are rather old fashioned and dated.

Can’t speak too highly of the staff - professional, efficient, hard-working and very warm and friendly. Downside of our stay was the unfortunate timing - a VERY loud music festival for 2 nights (apparently an annual thing!) - music, drums, singing, fireworks from 11:00 pm until 6 in the morning - only 100 yards from our hotel room. Not the hotel’s fault and they were apologetic - but still!! A bit more than a 2-day heads up from booking. Com would have been appreciated.

The ladies at the front desk were so helpful and kind. Room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was also nice!

Perfect location and easy to find. We didn’t use the pool but it looked inviting (it wasn’t warm enough when we were there). Free public car park a short walk away. Lovely staff. Clean room and facilities.

No tea kettle in the room, but friendly staff supplied hot water. Parking some distance away and a bit sketchy to get in and out

Very central accommodation in a beautiful small town. Lovely to have a outdoor swimming pool.

Beautiful refurbished bathroom however, it had a rusty old bin.

We had a very pleasant stay, the staff was very friendly and spoke English very well. The breakfast was a nice suprise. It wasn’t a large buffet, but you could pick your favorite breakfast from quite a selection of dishes. I would recommend this hotel for anyone traveling through de picos de europa.

Each receptionist that we met was really friendly and helpful. The room was spacious for myself and my daughter. Very clean, comfortable and everything we needed. Location is really good, right in the centre of Arenas. The hotel staff asked if we would like to leave our car or bag while we went to visit Bulnes after checkout. The staff at breakfast were super friendly and welcoming! And the breakfast was the perfect start to our day. Good options to choose from and really good value.

Very friendly little hotel that is more like a manor house. Conveniently located to Route de Cares and to shops in Las Arenas. Lovely staff.

Hotel Picos de Europa at Arenas de Cabrales is perfectly situated at the heart of this lovely mountain community. As we travelled by motorcycle we really appreciated the excellent gated parking at the side of the hotel. However, the thing that impressed the most was the outstanding welcome and friendliness we received from the hotel staff. Everyone, from receptionist to cleaning staff did their utmost to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The public rooms are beautifully kept and comfortable and the bedrooms provided a perfect relaxing location for quiet evenings

WIFI in room was very weak due to distance from router. But very good WIFI in breakfast room and in very comfortable library behind reception

Great central local location - perfect base to explore the Picos from the North side. Staff were exceptionally helpful, booking taxi transfers to the funicular (a great suggestion as parking there can be a major headache).
