Arcea Mirador de Cabrales

Beautiful location and right on the trailhead for the ruta del cares. If you’re not here to hike, you’re in the wrong place. Breakfast was good (despite other negative reviews). Very filling and included eggs, toast, and pastries.

Pretty basic accommodations. Showerhead did not stay on the wall. Two twin beds pushed together.

The location is outstanding! The surrounding area and view is not only beautiful it is just a short walk to the hikes. Room was sparse but clean. The breakfast was delicious - pastries/coffee/orange juice. The eating area was bright and pleasant to sit in. We ordered a sandwich for lunch which was tasty and service was good. Check out was fast and easy.

We checked in later than anticipated because we got lost and unfortunately had no cell phone service. There was one staff member not happy we came so late but we got our key without too much of a wait. Unfortunately we only know a few Spanish words and the next morning the breakfast guy got upset because we sat ourselves at an open set table which greatly upset him however we did not intend to offend. He also spoke so fast raising his voice asking the same question over and over which we understood after the fact to be our coffee order. I indicated I did not understand and he was so annoyed. Another staff person that knew some English came to our table and asked for our coffee order. The 2nd breakfast went much smoother as we waited to be shown which table to sit at and the breakfast guy spoke slower so we could understand him and ordered our coffee with no issues.

Perfect Location to funicular & hike Cares & drive to Sotres & Tresviso. Good food in restaurant at dinner.

Very basic rooms. Disapointing breakfast, no fruits or yogurt or fresh orange juice, plastic wrapped pastries.

The hotel looks much nicer than the pictures. Everyone working here was very friendly to us. It’s close to the attractions nearby. The common area is quite nice. Our daughter loved the toy cars there. We also enjoyed having dinner in the restaurant. The food was good and the price was reasonable.

There was no hair dryer in the room and when we tried to borrow one from the front desk, they didn’t have any left.

Location at the trailhead, cleanliness, and restaurant on site was very good.

The location was absolutely unbeatable. We had a magnificent view of the mountains from our window. The staff was also really outstanding -- friendly and extremely helpful.

The beds were not especially comfortable. I thought I reserved a room with a double bed. What we got was a room with two single beds, that we pushed together -- not the same. The beds were also a bit hard.

- The location is amazing. It is located near the Funicular the Bulnes as well as in the start/end of the Bulnes<->Poncebos trail. Also, 10 minutes of Sotres by car.- It is possible to have a good dinner in the place- the breakfast is simple but enough and it was already included in the stay.- the staff are very kind and respectful- Pets allowed without additional charges

Acoustic insulation is not so good but you can live with t that.

Incredible views from the window, the sound of the river.

There was no bathtub plug. And we couldn't take a bath.

Excellent location, near the start of the Cares Gorge and Bulnes village hikes. breakfast was included and parking was accessible. Wifi was strong.

Would have liked access to tea and coffee facilities.

Brilliant location lovely staff and good value

Nicely located in the mountains. Sunshine on the peaks in the morning and a cold beer at the bar next door in the afternoon. Simple but good food.

A bit old and “sleepy” and hard to communicate, if you are not Spanish speaking.

Great evening meal options. Brilliant location for hiking. Entire hotel clean and tidy. We loved it!

Location was great for our planned hike if the Ruta del Cares The staff were friendly and helpful

Television was the size of a small computer monitor and did not work - room was very simple with no kettle - had to request blankets as no way to amend temperature in the room

Location was excellent within 200 metres of Funicular to Bulnes and start of Ruta del Cares. Very scenic views from hotel of mountains and of the river.Hotel was clean and comfortable. It was basic but very good value for the price we paid.

Breakfast was very limited. Coffee, bread, tomato homemade sauce, cheese, croissants, pain au chocolat, orange juice.Ww did have an evening meal in the restaurant there and was dissapointed with my portion size (I had stewed meat). My wife had the house salad and she was very happy with it though.Other than the hotel there is only one other hotel next to it and you need to drive to either Arenas or Sotres to have a restaurant.

Great location for walking the Cares Gorge

Very basic and dated accommodation, limited parking and really noisy guests in adjoining room. Breakfast was no choice. Restaurant for evening meals was a hearty selection of local dishes and was fine.

The location was incredible with the views and close to everything by walking distance. Had a wonderful dinner, as well!
