Location was perfect.Staff were friendly.Very good value for money.
Only one shower in room which was clogged with hair and toilet in general was a bit of a mess but overall ok
Outstanding, great reception, spot clean, books, games, and super close to the lake and track roads. Beds and rooms are very well organized and perfect heating. I will definitely be back.
Beds were clean, toilets were clean, breakfast was only €9.
All was good
Location excellent, staff very nice, room was clean, coffee and tea provided.
Shower nearly boiled me alive and couldn't be adjusted. Breakfast was a bit meagre. No cereals for example.
Great staff. Lovely common areas. Basic but very clean. Comfortable bed. Super location.
The room I was in was large, but I saw other rooms that were very small. The man at the front desk was wonderful and helpful.
Far away from town to walk. Food was very poor at the two food sources within walking distance. Bathroom was very dirty, shower curtain was dark with mold and did not extend to the shower floor so the floor is always wet. The shower water never got hot, only warm. Community kitchen was filthy.Nobody is overseeing any part of the hostel. I only saw one person at the front desk and he was running around with his head cut off. I felt as if I was taken advantage of having to pay so much and receiving so little.
Conveniently located, great host.
The shower was much to be desired and it would’ve been great to have a bunch of hooks to hang our packs and clothing, especially since we were all soaked from the rain. Some way to dry clothes would be excellent.
Loved the location—right next to Wicklow National Park. In fact if we knew how close it was we would have parked there instead of paying at the park.
It’s an older hostel so it’s a little dated. But we still enjoyed the location.
We were staying in a 6 bed female dorm. We woke up from our second night and there was a man in one of the bunk beds. What we think is his wife was on the bunk above him. We were alarmed and confused as to why there was a man staying in our dorm. I had to double check that I booked a female dorm, in case I booked a mixed dorm without knowing. But I definitely booked a female dorm. We were staying in room 8 Aug 1-3 and the couple had checked in the 2nd. We only discovered the man on the morning of the 3rd as we were getting ready to leave. I’m hoping to bring this to someone’s attention so they can figure out what happened there, because a man should not be staying in a female dorm.
The property is a bit old but it’s still in good condition The share’s space are very confortable
I would like more tables and seating outside
Clean, close to town and super helpful staff!
The location, the room.
The kitchen was rather cluttered and a bit cramped for space.
Kitchen was way too small for so many people but really good equipped.Of course the Glendalough Monument is worth the trip and the Hostel fits the place.Staff was friendly, especially the german guy.
The place is overaged so it's definitely over expensive, at least they should offer free towels and breakfast for the price, like decent people would do. Room was too small for too many beds. The shower was a joke, but an old one - no hot water and just one per room. If there were more possibilities then noone told me...
location and bed and staff but especially location
Really was happy with everything...being a luddite type I would have liked to be able to book over the phone rather than via internet only
Great location, helpful and friendly staff, spacious and clean room, and very good facilities (kitchen, lounge, etc.)
fully satisfied. no complaints.
Friendly staff, very clean hostel, beautifully located, 10/10
Large and well-equipped kitchen, lots of communal space, friendly staff, on-site vending machine.
This hostel takes advantage of no competition in the vicinity, so charges a lot without providing much. Not enough sockets in the dorms, no individual lights, took me a while to figure out the shower. The most important thing - not a decent drying room after you get drenched in the rain outside! They suggested a small room with a boiler, but it was not really warm and none of my things dried there. The heaters only turn on in the evening.
Warm water in the shower
Very small rooms, no place to dry wet clothes or to simply hang a jacket.
