Pros +
- We thought the gardens were spectacular.
- Everything. The room was a good size with a bedroom, sitting area and balcony with a view of the mountains and the swimming pool. The restaurant was exceptional. We ate in the restaurant, the cafeteria and in the bar and on every occasion the food and drinks were excellent. The menu del dia changed every day, was excellent value 24 euros which included starter, main course and dessert. The wine was also extremely reasonable 30 euros. The pool was 20m long and had plenty of loungers.
- The grounds, layout, garden and views were fantastic, as was the pool The service was professional, courteous and helpful. Everything seemed exceptionally well-run, with high levels of attention to detail and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant and bar services were great too, with good selections of food and drink available throughout the day.
Cons -
- The safe didnt work. Some mould in the bathroom on tiles and ceiling.
- Keycard issues - Despite following advice from staff (ensuring they were kept away from phones and anything else that might have stopped them working) these frequently needed re-programming. This can be annoying given the distance between some rooms and Reception.
- The bathtub is small. The room is a little dim.

The room is spacious. The bed is comfortable. Towels and bath towels are rather good. The hotel is well decorated. There is a very beautiful garden. The view is amazing: mountain, garden, swimming pool.
The bathtub is small. The room is a little dim.
Great room and pool. Location was perfect for walking.
Lovely quirky building in a quiet yet central part of town. Beautiful gardens and grounds. Nice restaurant with cosy real fire. Tea and coffee facilities in the room.
A lot of stairs (if you have mobility issues) but there is a lift.
An oasis as we did not want to stay in a city. The staff are beautiful, the location quiet and tranquil.
The only food is pizza delivery, which was ok with us as we knew prior to arrival.
Location, parking, pool, restaurant. Room on ground floor with outside area in garden. Staff. Free onside parking for our motorcycles.
Drop off area a bit cramped while checking in before directed to car park.
Very attractive interiors with pretty gardens
one receptionist was unfriendly but the rest were lovely
Has a pool. Great hotel in the center.
Prices of breakfast and dinner are quite expensive.
Pool, superb views from room, easy parking and secure establishment. Good central spot for touring towns of the Sierra from this laid back town/village.
Video from owner online pumps their tyres up a bit more than reality - and the ‘family’ bit seemed sadly missing in our interactions with staff…
EVERYTHING! It is in a perfect location, the staff are so kind and attentive, nothing is too much trouble, it is spotlessly clean and the setting is beautiful, feels like a 5* boutique hotel,
We loved everything ❤️
it was nice and quiet , green and relaxed
pool water was saltynot enough lounges
The dinner was amazing
The first room we got the aircon did not work. The staff were excellent and provided another room but that was not good.
Beautiful grounds, lovely size room with amazing views, couldn’t fault it
Breakfast was a bit hectic and wasn’t really to our taste
Nicely decorated, very clean.Staff friendly and helpful - although one or two of the receptionists are a bit gruff. The swimming pool was beautifully clean and well-maintained: somebody spent an hour or so every morning cleaning and polishing it; and presumably checking the disinfectant system and filters. There is good, free WiFi in much of the hotel - much better in the first room I was in. I had to move (see below); and the WiFi in the room they moved me into was very slow. There was a space with a sign saying "spa"; but it appeared to be closed. The air conditioning only works between - sometime in the afternoon until about midnight (I forget the details); and it gets quite hot. There is a noisy ceiling fan.The food in the restaurant was good, although the menu was limited. We were offered vegetarian options that weren't on the menu when we asked. The wait staff were friendly and helpful; but busy. I had to wait a long time each time I went - not their fault, just inadequate staffing.
When I arrived, I was surprised at the puddle on the bathroom floor. I had a shower. Long story short… there were two problems - the rubber at the bottom of the shower panel needed replacing. They had assumed that the wet floor was because of this. But also a pipe behind the wall was leaking; the water was tracking down behind the tiles and onto the floor. So I was moved to another room. No help was offered in moving my stuff. The car park is below the hotel - there is a steep and rather slippery concrete path down to the car park. Access is via a gate, which you can open by pressing a doorbell which rings in reception - but this closes at 10pm, so you have to walk up a steep alley and go back around to reception via the main street if you go out and return by car after 10pm. This was exacerbated, when I did this, by the key cards working very poorly. They are magnetic strip cards, and seem to fail daily. When I got back at 22:20 I had to walk all the way around to get to reception, go all the way down to my room on level 0, and then return to reception on level 3. The gruff receptionist blamed "mobile phones". But I kept my mobile phone in my shirt pocket, and the key card in the pocket of my cargo. They really need to upgrade to more robust RFID chip cards - and to add the back gate to the system, so you can use your key card to get I and out without there having to be somebody 3 floors away in reception. (On another occasion, before 10pm, we couldn't get out to go to the car park because the receptionist had gone to get her sandwiches. Fair enough; but the system shouldn't need to rely on their being a person in reception.)
Clean and charming
AC didn’t cool properly
Lovely traditional hacienda type buildings. Beautiful good size pool with sufficient sunbeds. Very nice plants and water features in the grounds. Bed was very comfortable, there was a fridge and lsafe in the room. A few minutes walk from the town centre.
All good but we didn't eat there so cannot comment on the food.
The pool and outside gardens are beautiful.
Rooms are a bit dated. Breakfast was mediocre and not good value for money. No air con despite booking room with ac.
Used this hotel as a base to hike the sierra nevada mountains. Lovley pool and staff really looked after us especially Jade. Made us lunches for the hikes, food and drink very reasonable. Also if you're going on a hiking holiday use spanish highs tour group. Couldn't compliment them enough.
